Abstract

The objectives of community service through the character development program for elementary school aged children are: 1) To improve the polite character of elementary school aged children at the Nafisa Foundation, 2) to develop elementary school aged children at the Nafisa Foundation through regular dhikr activities. routinely, 3) Provide assistance in developing the polite character of elementary school age children at the Nafisa Foundation. The method that will be carried out in community service is to develop the religious character of elementary school age children through dhikr activities. The partner in this community service is the Nafisa Foundation, which is one of the elementary schools used as a place for the campus teaching program. The steps taken to overcome partners' problems regarding literacy and numeracy are four activities, namely pre-PKM activities, implementation of PKM activities, evaluation of PKM implementation and follow-up and improvement of community service activities.The results of the training are as follows: 1) improving the polite character of elementary school age children in terms of respecting their elders after participating in dhikr activities is clear evidence of the positive impact that religious activities such as dhikr can produce in shaping children's character. This shows the importance of integrating character education in the education system and utilizing religious activities as a tool for building strong character. 2) increasing the polite character of elementary school age children in terms of saying hello when meeting older people after participating in dhikr activities is clear evidence of the positive impact that religious activities such as dhikr can produce in shaping children's character. Several suggestions for community service results based on the conclusions that have been expressed: 1) For elementary school age children, Introduction to Values: Start with an introduction to values such as politeness, respect for elders, unselfishness, and others. Use stories or concrete examples that suit children's understanding. 2) For parents, they can be active in supporting children's dhikr activities at home. This could involve doing dhikr together, reading stories about character values, or talking about related personal experiences.Abstrak: Tujuan dari program pengabdian masyarakat yang berfokus pada pembinaan karakter anak sekolah dasar di Yayasan Nafisa adalah tiga lipat: 1) untuk meningkatkan sopan santun mereka, 2) untuk membina perkembangan melalui kegiatan dzikir (mengingat Tuhan) secara rutin, dan 3) untuk memberikan bantuan dalam menumbuhkan karakter sopan santun mereka. Metode yang digunakan dalam layanan ini melibatkan kegiatan dzikir untuk mengembangkan karakter religius anak-anak. Yayasan Nafisa, sebuah sekolah dasar dan mitra dalam layanan ini, berfungsi sebagai tempat untuk program pengajaran kampus. Program ini terdiri dari empat tahap: kegiatan pra-layanan, implementasi, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut untuk perbaikan. Hasil dari pelatihan ini tampak dalam peningkatan sopan santun anak-anak. Rasa hormat mereka terhadap orang yang lebih tua dan kebiasaan mereka menyapa orang yang lebih tua saat bertemu telah meningkat secara signifikan setelah berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan dzikir. Perbaikan ini menunjukkan pengaruh positif dari kegiatan religius seperti dzikir dalam membentuk karakter anak-anak, sehingga menyoroti pentingnya integrasi pendidikan karakter ke dalam sistem pendidikan. Rekomendasi berdasarkan kesimpulan ini meliputi: 1) memperkenalkan nilai-nilai seperti kesopanan, hormat kepada orang yang lebih tua, dan ketidak-egoisan kepada anak-anak menggunakan cerita atau contoh yang dapat mereka mengerti; dan 2) mendorong orang tua untuk secara aktif mendukung kegiatan dzikir anak-anak mereka di rumah, yang bisa mencakup melakukan dzikir bersama, membaca cerita tentang nilai-nilai karakter, atau berbagi pengalaman pribadi yang relevan.

Abstract

Pengembangan flipbook interaktif, yang merupakan kombinasi dari e-book dan video, dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan dan bantuan dalam menyusun materi ajar dengan aplikasi flipbook menggunakan aplikasi Canva bagi guru-guru sekolah dasar di Magetan, Jawa Timur. Pelatihan ini dijalankan melalui tiga tahap: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan pasca kegiatan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan telah berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam membuat materi ajar berbasis flipbook dengan menggunakan Canva dan pengetahuan mereka tentang cara membuat materi ajar dengan aplikasi Canva dan Heyzen Flipbook. Namun, perlu dilakukan upaya berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan efektivitas pelatihan serta mendukung guru yang mungkin masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mengadopsi teknologi ini. Dianjurkan untuk memberikan dukungan berkelanjutan kepada guru agar peningkatan kualitas pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang telah dicapai melalui pelatihan tidak berhenti. Program pelatihan berkelanjutan, workshop, atau sesi pembaruan dapat membantu guru untuk terus meningkatkan dan memperbarui keterampilan mereka. Abstract: The development of an interactive flipbook, which combines an e-book and videos, can increase students' motivation to learn. The aim of this community service is to provide training and assistance in compiling teaching materials with the flipbook application using the Canva application for elementary school teachers in Magetan, East Java. The training is conducted in three stages: preparation, implementation, and post-activity. The results of the service show that the training has successfully improved teachers' abilities to create flipbook-based teaching materials using Canva and their knowledge of how to create teaching materials with the Canva and Heyzen Flipbook applications. However, ongoing efforts need to be made to improve the quality and effectiveness of the training and to support teachers who may still have difficulties in adopting this technology. It is recommended to provide continuous support to teachers to ensure that the improvement in the quality of teaching and learning achieved through training does not stop. Ongoing training programs, workshops, or update sessions can help teachers continually improve and update their skills.

Abstract

Banyak siswa sekolah dasar yang menganggap matematika sebagai pembelajaran yang paling sulit dan rumit. Dengan demikian, siswa harus dapat memahami pembelajaran matematika karena  matematika  merupakan  sarana  untuk  memecahkan  masalah  sehari-hari  seperti  halnya  membaca dan menulis. Kesulitan belajar matematika dalam memahami konsep harus diberikan solusi sedini mungkin, kalau tidak siswa  akan menghadapi banyak masalah kedepannya  karena hampir semua bidang studi membutuhkan matematika  yang  tepat. Salah satu faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar adalah motivasi belajar dan minat belajar matematika, rendahnya motivasi dan minat belajar matematika disebabkan karena kurang tepatnnya metode pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Setiap konsep atau prinsip dalam matematika yang disajikan dalam bentuk yang konkret akan dapat dipahami dengan baik oleh peserta didik.  Pembelajaran Kontekstual Learning dan matematika realistic merupakan yang dihadirkan ke ruang kelas, diharapkan siswa dapat mengoptimalkan panca inderanya baik penglihatan, pendengaran, penciuman, maupun penginderaan yang lain untuk dapat memahami materi yang sedang dipelajari. Tidak semua guru mampu merancang pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan yang seperti itu. Maka melalui kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam merancang pembelajaran matematika kemampuan guru mengalami peningkatan sebesar 60% dari sebelum mengikuti pelatihan ke setelah mengikuti pelatihan.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada guru-guru Sekolah Dasar dalam penggunaan teknologi digital untuk menciptakan gerak tari yang menarik dan edukatif. Melalui serangkaian pelatihan dan pendampingan, para guru akan dibekali dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengintegrasikan elemen-elemen tari dengan teknologi digital, termasuk penggunaan aplikasi dan perangkat lunak khusus. Selain itu, mereka juga akan diajarkan cara memilih musik, mengarahkan siswa, dan mengedit hasil karya mereka. Metode yang akan diterapkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan dengan peserta pelatihan yakni guru-guru Sekolah Dasar. Tahapan pelaksanaan meliputi Pra Kegiatan, Rapat Strategi Pelaksanaan, Pelaksanaan Kegiatan, dan Evaluasi Kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, menunjukkan bahwa setelah mengikuti pelatihan dan pendampingan ini, guru-guru Sekolah Dasar mampu menciptakan gerak tari sederhana berbasis digital yang lebih menarik dan bermakna. Selain itu, mereka juga melaporkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa dalam bidang seni tari. Pengabdian ini menjadi bukti konkret bahwa pengintegrasian teknologi digital dalam pendidikan seni dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi proses pembelajaran di tingkat dasar. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan ini tidak hanya memberikan manfaat kepada guru dan siswa saja, akan tetapi juga berkontribusi pada pengembangan pendidikan yang lebih inklusif dan beragam yang akan membawa dampak positif dalam masyarakat dan budaya pendidikan.

Abstract

Masa pandemic menuntut para guru untuk lebih kreatif dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran. Guru dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Berbagai upaya dilaksanakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan pendidikan terutama di masa pandemic, salah satunya adalah melalui kegiatan pendampingan kelompok belajar yang merupakan bentuk dari pengabdian masyarakat.Collaborative learning merupakan pembelajaran kolaboratif yang mengutamakan kerja sama antar siswa dalam memahami pelajaran diharapkan dapat menjadikan pembelajaran siswa kelas remedial semakin menarik dengan metode tutor sebaya dan pendekatan personal. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu mengatasi permasalahan siswa dalam pembelajaran ketika pembelajaran PTM-T mulai dilaksanakan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode sosialisasi dan pelatihan, small group discussion, pendekatan personal dan tutor sebaya. Hasil yang didapatkan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah berupa peningkatan kemampuan belajar siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar.

Abstract

This research analyzes teachers' needs in developing flipbook-based interactive teaching materials in elementary schools. This research method uses quantitative research with a survey research type and descriptive qualitative. The research locations were Sidosermo 1 Surabaya public Elementary School, Margorejo VI public Elementary School Surabaya, Margorejo 1 public Elementary School, Taquma Elementary School, Kyai Ibrahim Elementary School, and Jemursari I Surabaya public elementary school. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. The research instrument is a wide questionnaire that experts have validated. Data analysis techniques were carried out using descriptive statistics and descriptive qualitative using data reduction, data display, and verification. The research results show that 100% of teachers need flipbook-based interactive teaching materials for elementary school students. This teaching material is considered the most appropriate and effective solution for meeting the learning needs of Pancasila Education in class IV, semester 2. The implications of these findings are significant. The demand for such teaching materials underscores the necessity of providing resources that are not only aligned with the curriculum but also capable of captivating students' interest and facilitating a deeper understanding of the content. Modern, interactive materials like flipbooks can offer a more dynamic learning environment, helping students better grasp complex concepts through engaging and visually stimulating content.

Abstract

ABSTRACTWriting skills require continuous and intensive training until beautiful writing and aesthetic value are produced. Writing skills must be developed in the world of education because they can train students to think critically. Creative writing training for Guidance Studio Students at Pondok An-Nahdloh Selangor, Malaysia aims to (1) familiarize students with literacy culture, (2) teach students to have literacy skills, especially creative writing skills, especially poetry in Indonesian, (3) motivate students to write creatively in everyday life, (4) assist teachers in teaching literacy skills. The partner for this community service activity is Pondok An-Nahdloh Selangor, Malaysia. The method of this activity is training and mentoring partners with stages of socialization, lectures on poetry writing methods, poetry writing practice, and mentoring poetry improvements. Pelatihan menulisan kreatif bagi Siswa Sanggar Bimbingan di Pondok An-Nahdloh Selangor, Malaysi bertujuan untuk (1) mengakrabkan peserta didik dengan budaya literasi, (2) membelajarkan peserta didik agar memiliki keterampilan literasi khususnya keterampilan menulis kreatif khususnya puisi dalam bahasa Indonesia, (3) memotivasi peserta didik   untuk menulis kreatif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, (4) membantu tugas para guru dalam membelajarkan keterampilan literasi. Mitra kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Pondok An-Nahdloh Selangor, Malaysia. Metode kegiatan ini yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan mitra dengan tahapan sosialisasi, ceramah tentang metode penulisan puisi, praktik menulis puisi, dan pendampingan perbaikan puisi. Hasil pengabdian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan ini sangatlah berhasil dan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kreatif para peserta pelatihan.Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, menulis kreatif, siswa sanggar bimbingan, pondok An-Nahdloh

Abstract

The rapid development of globalization has brought significant changes to the world. In the current era, many media programs highlight weaknesses and promote negative behaviors, which, if left unchecked, may be easily imitated by children. This situation poses a risk of developing habits that undermine good character. Therefore, schools have an important role in instilling positive values. One such value is the spirit of mutual cooperation, which can be cultivated through the use of flipbook teaching materials in the Pancasila Education subject. This research aims to improve the mutual cooperation character of students by implementing flipbook-based teaching materials in Pancasila Education for Grade IV A students at SDN Karah 1 Surabaya. The research employed Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted in two cycles. The subjects were Grade IV A students at SDN Karah 1 Surabaya. Data were collected before the intervention (pre-cycle) and after each cycle to measure the improvement in mutual cooperation. Pre-cycle: 28% of students achieved the expected character development, while 72% did not. Cycle I: Improvement to 45% complete and 55% incomplete. Cycle II: Further improvement to 90% complete and only 10% incomplete. These results demonstrate a significant increase, meeting the success indicators set for the study. The use of flipbook teaching materials in Pancasila Education effectively improved the mutual cooperation character of Grade IV A students at SDN Karah 1 Surabaya when implemented in accordance with PTK procedures. It is recommended that educators integrate innovative digital teaching materials, such as flipbooks, to foster positive character values in students, and further research can explore its application in other subjects and grade levels.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of lapbook media on the early reading skills of grade 1 students. A quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group was applied, involving 50 students divided into an experimental class (n = 26) using lapbook media and a control class (n = 24) using books and PowerPoint. The data were collected through performance tests and analyzed with the Mann-Whitney test due to non-normal distribution. The results show that the experimental class achieved 96.15% mastery compared to 70.83% in the control class, with a significant difference confirmed by statistical testing (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that lapbook media has a strong positive effect on students’ early reading skills. Practically, lapbooks provide an engaging, interactive medium that supports literacy development, offering teachers an effective alternative to conventional instructional tools in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to compare students’ learning interest in Pancasila Education using two types of instructional media scrapbook and lapbook based on the ARCS model (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction). This research employed a quantitative approach with a comparative design. The subjects consisted of 52 fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Semampirejo, with Class IVA using scrapbook media and Class IVB using lapbook media. The primary instrument was a learning interest questionnaire constructed based on the ARCS indicators and measured using the Guttman scale. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed, while the homogeneity test indicated that both groups had equal variances (p > 0.05). The findings revealed that both media were effective in increasing students’ learning interest, with both groups reaching a very high category. The lapbook group scored higher in relevance (92%), confidence (97%), and satisfaction (95%). However, the independent sample t-test indicated no statistically significant difference between the two groups (p = 0.574). These results suggest that while both media are effective, lapbooks provide a more interactive and enjoyable learning experience. This study acknowledges several limitations, including a small sample size and the absence of a pre-test.
