Abstract

Pendidikan mitigasi bencana alam diperlukan bagi masyarakat kawasan bencana yang bertujuan untuk memberikan penanganan awal bencana. Pendidikan merupakan salah satu cara untuk memberikan edukasi mitigasi di Sekolah Dasar yang dapat dikaitkan dengan pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangan buku ajar mitigasi bencana di kawasan terdampak gunung semeru. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan 4D yang terdiri dari Define, Design, Develop, dan Diseminate. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunkana deskriptif kuantitaif, dan deskriptif kualitatif untuk hasil pengembangan buku ajar.  Dari hasi penelitian diperoleh bahwa buku ajar yang dikembangkan dari aspek materi, desain dan Bahasa mendapatkan presentasi 84.12% dari rata-rata validator dengan kategori sangat valid. Pada unsur keterbacaan buku ajar mendapatkan presentasi 81,27% dengan kategori baik. Dari hasil tersebut, maka buku ajar yang telah dikembangkan bisa digunakan untuk memberikan edukasi mitigasi awal kepada siswa SD yang dikaitkan dengan pembelajaran di kelas. Implikasi dari penelitian ini yakni memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan secara menyenangkan akan edukasi mitigasi bencana dan bisa diimplementasikan untuk ke depannya.

Abstract

21st-century competence was always been a concern in this era. It was very important to full fill student and teacher competence. It is called 4Cs, namely creative thinking skills, critical thinking skills, communication skills, and collaborative skills. There was one of the learning that in accordance with the 21st century, was STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Before preparing students to gain this competence to introduce STEAM, it is important to needed preparing for innovative teachers soon in university or lecturers about STEAM. One of the lecturers in PGSD was called Learning Plan in Elementary or “Perencanaan Pembelajaran SD” which introduced STEAM in science and its implementation of it. The objective of this research was to know the capability of college students to prepare and practice STEAM in science matters. It used the descriptive quantitative method by the percentage of identifying implantation STEAM in science matter. 35 College student of PGSD as a subject of this research was taking Learning Plan as Elementary lecturer. The result shows that about 80% of college students have been planning STEAM as evidenced by designing STEAM and practicing teaching aids. It can be concluded that introducing STEAM for a college student can be applied to innovative teachers soon.

Abstract

Etnopedagogik merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran. Pendekatan yang mengedepankan dalam nilai budaya kearifan lokal pada pembelejaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji etnopedagogik dalam pendidikan dasar dari konsep, pembelajarannya di pendidikan dasar, dan penguatan nilai etnopedagogik. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis studi literatur. Hasil studi literatur yang didapatkan bahwa konsep etnopedagogik merupakan praktik pembelajaran bebasis budaya secara holistik. Pengimplementasian etnopedagogik dalam pendidikan dasar bisa dintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran mata pelajaran di kelas seperti pembelajaran IPA, IPS, maupun bahasa dan seni. Namun tidak dipungkiri bisa diimplementasikan materi lainnya di pendidikan dasar. Adapun beberapa penguatan nilai kearfian lokal yang bisa diimplementasikan dengan pendekatan etnopedagogik seperti pendekatan multicultural, pelatihan guru, dan integrasi dalam kurikulum. Untuk kedepannya bahwa konsep pendekatan etnopedagogik dalam pendidikan dasar bisa dikaji lebih detail mengenai pengimplementasiannya hingga hambatannya

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the role of the Pinggir Sawah Literacy House in the Sempu Banyuwangi area in terms of forming environmental awareness. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The technique used was in-depth interviews by digging up information from data sources from the Pinggir Sawah administrators and the community who came to the place. The research results illustrate that the role of the Pinggir Sawah literacy house is able to raise awareness of love for the environment. Some activities include utilizing waste, planting plants using organic media. The role of the Pinggir Sawah literacy house is to try to create environmental awareness by reducing waste and utilizing it to create a clean and healthy environment. Activities carried out include outreach and training in waste utilization skills

Abstract

Environmental literacy is a form of public awareness of caring for the environment. This not only discusses environmental issues, but also sets the framework for environmental literacy. Environmental literacy is divided into several parts, namely knowledge, awareness, and ethics. This research is included in a qualitative approach. The research location is in the Sempu Banyuwangi area. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses the theory of Miles and Huberman namely reduction, presentation, and verification or conclusion. The results of the study as a whole the level of understanding of the environmental literacy of the Sempu community is quite good regarding awareness of the surrounding environment, knowledge, attitudes and behavior. The role of students in this case acts as a companion and motivator in efforts to increase environmental literacy with training activities. Apart from that, it still shows the need for a companion role in providing environmental literacy to the Sempu community to increase knowledge and awareness about the environment

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the pedagogical competence of elementary teachers. It includes a planning lesson plan, understanding learning theory until learning evaluation. The research method used was qualitative. The research sample was teachers in the Jember, Banyuwangi, Bondowos, and Jember. Collection of data by an interview with 92 elementary teachers. the sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed by inductive analysis by the result of the interview. The result of this study was pedagogical competency by the elementary teachers. There was seven competence for this study planning a learning plan, determining learning strategy based on characteristics of students, understanding learning theory, understanding learning methods, using, made of evaluations, and reflecting on the learning process. It was almost mastered after joining the teacher certification program But, there were another competence that recah 100%. It needed accompaniment to be a teacher that has pedagogical competence well.

Abstract

Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) merupakan prodi yang berfokus dalm mendidik calon guru SD. Mahasiswa PGSD dituntut untuk menguasai 5 bidang studi meliputi Bahasa Indonesia, Matematika, IPA, IPS, dan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan. Mahasiswa PGSD yang berasal dari lulusan SMA atau SMK memberikan tantang sendiri pada Mahasiswa PGSD dalam belajar di PGSD. Hal ini juga Ketika mahasiswa PGSD belajar konsep Fisika pada mata kuliah konsep dasar IPA. Pemahaman Fisika yang baik sangat penting bagi mahasiswa PGSD karena membantu mereke dalam memahami fenomena alam dan teknologi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi Tingkat pemahaman Fisika mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Jember dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya.

Abstract

The integration of local culture into science learning poses a significant challenge in enhancing the relevance of instructional materials to daily life. This study aims to analyze the Blambangan Culture of Banyuwangi through an ethnoscience approach in elementary science education. A qualitative research method was employed, using data collection techniques such as observations and interviews with cultural experts. Data analysis was conducted using the theory by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, involving stages of data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal the mapping of elementary science materials with the Blambangan Culture of Banyuwangi through an ethnoscience approach. The cultural elements analyzed include mepe kasur, gintangan, gedhogan, metik padi, petik laut, and batik gajah uling. Relevant science topics include force and energy, plants, sound and waves, as well as terrestrial and marine ecosystems. This study concludes that the mapping results can serve as the foundation for developing more contextual teaching materials through an ethnoscience approach, thereby improving students' understanding of science concepts grounded in local culture.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a rich culture and abundant natural resources. In the globalization era, local cultures are significantly fading due to the incoming influence of foreign cultures. Education is a tool to bridge knowledge and values embedded in a place to the community. Ethnoscience is an approach that connects local culture and scientific knowledge. This study uses an ethnoscience approach to preserve knowledge derived from natural potential in Indonesia. Integrating ethnoscience concepts in learning helps students improve their learning outcomes and master 21st-century skills that are relevant today. This study aims to develop an ethnoscience-based e-module on the arabica java ijen-raung coffee plant. This module highlights the unique methods of planting Arabica coffee in the Ijen highlands. This study examines the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of using an ethnoscience-based e-module on the arabica java ijen-raung coffee plant to improve learning outcomes of grade IV elementary students. This quantitative development research uses the ADDIE model, which contains analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation processes. The result of this research shows a 93% validity score. Effectivity score using N-Gain methods earns 79,2822 included in the effective category. Practicality score earns 94% including in excellent category. Based on this result. It can be concluded that the ethnoscience-based e-module on the arabica java ijen-raung coffee plant is valid, effective, and practical to improve student learning outcomes for grade IV elementary school students
