Abstract

The drop out rate of contraceptive use in Indonesia until 2016 still high at 25.7% of the government's target of 24%, this the optimization of the performance of health personnel should be improved, especially regarding health personnel knowledge about the use of oral and contraceptives which is the largest user in the city of Bandung. One of the efforts to improve the quality of family planning programs, through increasing the competence of health workers called Interprofessional Education (IPE). The purpose of this study was to identify the level of knowledge of health personnel at the health center regarding oral and injection contraceptives between professions with IPE in Bandung. This research used an experimental method with the type of group pre-posttest design. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon rank test from a questionnaire on health personnel's knowledge about oral and injection contraceptives on IPE before, and after Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results showed there was an increase in the level of knowledge in 152 health personnel, a decrease in the level of knowledge in 5 health personnel, and no change in the four health personnel. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) through Interprofessional Education (IPE) was proven to significantly increase knowledge about oral contraceptives and injections on health personnel at the Health Center.

Abstract

Piroxicam solubility in water is very small this cause problem in the process of absorption so that it?s required an optimal formula to establish the physical properties of tablet quality for piroxicam tablets. The purpose of this research was creating formulas with the optimal combination of excipients lactose, Avicel pH 101, and piroxicam amprotab to obtain tablets with good physical properties and disolution. Seven piroxicam tablet formulas were made with a combination of lactose, avicel PH-101, and Amprotab on 2 batches. Method for making tablets piroxicam was established by direct compression. Tests included were the physical properties of piroxicam tablets tablets weight uniformity, uniformity of size, hardness, brittleness, disintegration test, as well as dissolution test, and content uniformity. Based on the simplex lattice design method, lactose is a dominant factor to improved the uniformity of tablet?s concentartions. Interaction of two components avicel PH-101 and amprotab is a dominant factor to reduced vulnerability. Interaction of three components lactose, avicel PH-101 and amprotab is a dominant factor to lowered the value coefisien variation of weight uniformity, increased hardness, decreased the disintegration, and improved dissolution of tablets. Selection of the optimum formula was determined by the method of simplex lattice design through diagrams superimposed contour plots and contour plots for obtaining the optimal proportions of each ingredient as follows: lactose (85,154?100%), avicel PH-101 (0?12,437%), and amprotab (0?5,425%).

Abstract

The success of DM therapy with antidiabetic drug monotherapy is about 25-50% effectiveness, therefore combination therapy is needed. Inhibitor sodium glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT-2) is a new anti-diabetic drug intended for personal therapy of patients with type 2 diabetes. SGLT2 inhibitors work by inhibiting glucose reabsorption in the proximal tubule so that glucose will be excreted with urine. SGLT-2 besides being used as monotherapy can also be combined with other DM drugs.  This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of dapagliflozin monotherapy compared to metformin, saxagliptin and glimepiride in alloxan-induced Balb-c strain mice. This research was conducted experimentally on alloxan-induced hyperglycemic mice and the treatment was given for 7 days. The treatment groups were: I. normal, II. alloxan, III. dapagliflozin (D) and the dapagliflozin combination group with: IV. Metformin (DM), V. saxagliptin (DS), VI. Glimepiride (DG), VII. saxagliptin + metformin (DSM). Analysis of the decrease in blood sugar compared between groups on the 7th day after administration. The analysis was carried out using ANOVA test with a 95% confidence level. The results of this study indicate that all treatments with antidiabetic drugs alone or in combination given for 7 days can control blood sugar levels to 120 mg/dL. The combination of dapaglyfozine (DM, DS, DSM) showed a significant difference with groups D and DG (p0.05). The combination of dapagliflozin with Metformin, Saxagliptin and Meformin+Sazagliptin showed a good effectiveness in lowering blood sugar levels compared to other combinations and alone.
