Abstract

Light control in garden lighting facilities generally uses electricity and switches, making it difficult for operators to turn on garden lights. This is the basis for controlling solar lighting using solar input in the form of solar panels and Arduino Uno as a data processing center obtained from current sensors, voltage sensors, and LDR sensors which are used as readers of the state around the lamp. Garden lights use Arduino uno as the main controller, NodeMCU which functions as a communication medium between Android and solar panel-based garden lights by utilizing the Wi-Fi network and applying IoT technology. and monitoring is carried out through an Android application made using Kodular software called Simpuman. From the tests carried out, it can be concluded that the lights can turn on when the hardware is connected to a portable hotspot, the maximum brightness of the lamp is 498.2 mWatt.

Abstract

Total solidity or TDS is one factor that indicates water quality with PPM readings (parts per million). The TDS role in the hydroponics plantation system is to measure the nutrients contained in the water that is used as a growing medium. However, the TDS sensors used in the hydroponics system are able to read only the PPM value at a sensitivity of 2 PPM per 1 ADC on Arduino Mega or Uno. In the study the authors developed a method of calibration by design a signal condition circuit to increase the value range of TDS censorship output, as well as the application of linear regression methods to obtain the transfer function leading to calibration process. Research shows that a set of op-amps was able to amplifying TDS 'advanced TDS output, which originally had a maximum output of 2.383 v to 5v. The TDS sensor's accurate value that has been added to the signal reinforcement chain that originally valued 96.05% to 96.63%, with an accredited value increase of 0.58%.

Abstract

The need for hot water is very important for the health of every human being. Not only from health, industrial fields such as hospitality have a high level of use of warm water. High usage must be balanced with existing income. However, in the case of heating water on a large scale, a large source is also needed. To overcome this, a solar water heating system was created in order to overcome this problem while at the same time utilizing natural heat sources from the sun. Solar water heaters with parabolic reflectors are made to be able to heat water by focusing light by the parabolic reflectors onto the collector pipe. In optimizing it, a tracking system for the sun is also added so that the heat absorption that occurs can be more effective. Tracking is carried out for 6 hours, starting from 09.00 to 15.00. It can be seen that the highest temperature increase uses the 10 minutes delay method of 55.18°C and the highest temperature for heating uses the continuous method of 44.62°C with the same heating time from 13.30-13.40. Comparison of the heat absorption efficiency of the collector pipe is better by using the 10 minutes delay method of 35.04% in terms of achieving the highest temperature. As for the comparison of the whole system, the use of the 10 minutes delay method has a higher efficiency of 30.95% compared to the continuous heating method.

Abstract

The charity box is a place to collect alms from the community. Currently, the charity box that we often encounter in the money counting system in the charity box is still required to open the lid of the charity box and count manually. Therefore, a system is needed that can recognize banknote denominations and automatically calculate the nominal amount of banknotes that go into the charity box. The aim of this research is to design and create a system for reading nominal banknotes using a Logitech C3010 webcam and monitoring the number of banknotes using the MIT App Inventor application. In this research, the author uses the template matching method to identify the nominal value of banknotes that go into the charity box. Based on the test results, the template matching method can be implemented to detect nominal banknotes with a threshold value of >0.40 and an effective distance of 20-30 cm so that the nominal money produced is detected very well.

Abstract

Oil palm is one of the most important crops in Indonesia's plantation industry. In terms of cultivating oil palm, farmers still rely on manual-based systems, such as watering, fertilizing, and applying pesticides. With this tool, it is expected to increase efficiency in managing watering, fertilizing, and applying pesticides to oil palm seedlings, and farmers can monitor pH levels, soil moisture, and weather conditions in real time on the blynk application. This system consists of several main components, namely ESP-32 as a microcontroller hardware and software component. The sensors used are soil moisture sensor, raindrop sensor, and pH sensor. The soil moisture sensor is used to measure the level of soil moisture around the roots of oil palm seedlings. The rainfall sensor will provide information whether it is raining or not. The pH sensor measures the acidity level. Data from the three sensors will be sent in real-time to the IoT platform, namely the blynk application via a wireless network in the form of WiFi. Based on the research results, it can be seen that this tool can measure soil pH levels with a fairly low average error value of 0.0354%. The soil moisture sensor can also measure the soil moisture level with precision according to the actual data. Tests were carried out with three soil samples and tested three times.
