Abstract

Karnaugh Map (K-map), a method to simplify the logic equations in a logic circuit, was a compulsory topic on Digital Electronics’ subject, yet the learning process in TE-PNJ was still done manually. Therefore, the result of this research was a web-based software which was used as an interactive tool for teaching K-map. Furthermore, the main purpose of that tool was so that the learning process becomes more attractive, easily understood, and interactive for the students. Besides that, a web-based programming was applied to build that so it was considered as an open source application. More over, It could simplify logic circuits with 2 to 4 input variables and DON’T CARE conditions. In addition, it could display both input and output logic equations and also number of logic gates (AND, OR and NOT) contained in each of those logic equations. Keywords: K-map, variable input , DON’T CARE conditions, logic gates ABSTRAK Karnaugh Map (K-map) yang berfungsi untuk menyederhanakan persamaan logika pada suatu rangkaian logika merupakan sub-materi wajib pada MK-Teknik Digital di jurusan TE-PNJ, tetapi proses belajar mengajar yang dilakukan masih manual. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah suatu perangkat lunak berbasis web yang digunakan sebagai alat bantu ajar K-map yang interaktif. Tujuan utama alat bantu ini adalah agar proses belajar mengajar menjadi lebih menarik, mudah dipahami, dan interaktif bagi mahasiswa. Perangkat lunak direalisasikan dengan menggunakan pemrograman berbasis web sehingga sifatnya open source (tidak membutuhkan lisensi). Aplikasi K-map yang dibuat dapat melakukan penyederhanaan rangkaian logika dengan jumlah input 2 sampai 4 variabel serta ditambah dengan kondisi don’t care. Selain itu perangkat lunak tersebut dapat menampilkan baik persamaan logika input dan output serta jumlah gerbang-gerbang logika dasar (AND, OR dan NOT) yang terdapat pada masing-masing persamaan logika tersebut. Abstract

The Community Service Program carried out by the service team is to provide training to youth organizations, especially in RT09/RW09 Bulustalan Village, South Semarang District, Semarang City. Training in making electronic product designs in the form of posters, business cards, and calendars using Canva. The material's content has considered the needs of youth in today's internet era. Besides that, it can add value to the knowledge and skills of youth. From the results of the pre-test and post-test that have been carried out, it has been proven that this training is very beneficial for youth organization. The pre-test results show that less than 20% already know about the Canva module. Next, the post-test results show that more than 90% of the trainees are interested in and want to explore using Canva media. Positive responses have been given from the participants, showing that the training on making electronic product designs using Canva media benefits the participants.

Abstract

Indonesia is an ASEAN country with the most motorcycle users, where one-third of its population own motorcycles. The automatic motorcycle is the most widely used type due to its agility and fuel-efficient abilities. Sudden motorcycle damage could hamper the users' activities. However, most of these users do not know the reason for the damage. This paper presents the development of expert system for diagnosing the damage of motorcycle using forward chaining method. This system was implemented in mobile application. Through a mobile application, a solution for these users can be obtained. This application immediately discovers the damaged location and repair process. Furthermore, it acts as the first solution before motorcycle repair is carried out in a shop. In this study, the forward chaining method was implemented. It is based on a pattern-matching algorithm whose primary objective is to match facts (input data) with appropriate rules from the rule base. Various test results showed that the diagnostic application used for automatic motorcycle damages 100% worked.

Abstract

Social media has a significant role in natural disaster management, namely as an early warning and monitoring when natural disasters occur. Artificial intelligence can maximize the use of natural disaster social media messages for natural disaster management. The artificial intelligence system will classify social media message texts into three categories: eyewitness, non-eyewitness and don't-know. Messages with the eyewitness category are essential because they can provide the time and location of natural disasters. A common problem in text classification research is that feature extraction techniques ignore word meanings, omit word order information and produce high-dimensional data. In this study, a feature extraction technique can maintain word order information and meaning by using three-word embedding techniques, namely word2vec, fastText, and Glove. The result is data with 1D, 2D, and 3D dimensions. This study also proposes a data formation technique with new features by combining data from all word embedding techniques. The classification model is made using three Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) techniques, namely 1D CNN, 2D CNN and 3D CNN. The best accuracy results in this study were in the case of earthquakes 78.33%, forest fires 81.97%, and floods 78.33%. The calculation of the average accuracy shows that the 2D and 3D v1 data formation techniques work better than other techniques. Other results show that the proposed technique produces better average accuracy.

Abstract

Semarang City is one of the provincial capitals which is very complete in terms of social, educational, economic, and other facilities. For this reason, many migrants live and settle temporarily in boarding houses. Bulustalan Village is a village located in the center of Semarang city and there are many office locations and higher education facilities around the area. For this reason, many employees and students are looking for a boarding house around the Bulustalan Village. In addition, in the Bulustalan Village area, especially in RT. 09/RW. 04, many have boarding houses, there are about 10 families out of 50 families who have boarding houses. During a pandemic like this, the boarding house business is experiencing the impact of a decrease in boarding house rents because many students live back in their hometowns. The boarding house business is one of the businesses for investment in the property sector. If not executed will cause losses because the boarding house will be damaged. In this digital era, product marketing can be done using digital media, namely through websites and social media. What's more, during a pandemic like this, someone tends to look for a boarding house using digital media. For this reason, marketing of boarding houses through digital media is one way that must be done to find the right potential users. The digital media used is the website media https://bapakkost.com/ which is the result of research from the head of service and marketing can be done with business Instagram social media. Training on the use of digital media for marketing boarding houses has been carried out and attended by more than 15 residents in RT09, Bulustalan sub-district. The digital media used is the website https://bapakkost.com/ and has also been provided in the form of a guidebook. This marketing can be done by the owner and not the owner of the boarding house by utilizing internet technology. The results of the questionnaire that had been given to the training participants stated that more than 75% of the participants agreed that the Bapakkost website could help market the boarding house. In addition, more than 65% of participants would recommend the Bapakkost website as a digital boarding house marketing tool. Abstract

Disasters can occur anytime and anywhere. Floods and forest fires are two types of disasters that occur in Indonesia. South Kalimantan Province is an area that frequently experiences floods and forest fires. The dataset used for previous research's flood and forest fire disaster data is unbalanced. Unbalanced data conditions can complicate the classification method in carrying out the classification process. The sampling method for the data level approach that can be used to solve imbalance problems is oversampling, one of the derivatives of oversampling, namely SMOTE. The K-Means SMOTE method is a modification of SMOTE. One Naïve Bayes model often used in text classification is Multinomial Naïve Bayes. Multinomial Naïve Bayes has a good performance in classifying text. The research results on flood disaster data using K-Means SMOTE with Multinomial Naïve Bayes yielded an f1 score of 66.04%, and forest fire disaster data using K-Means SMOTE with Multinomial Naïve Bayes produced an f1 score of 66.31%.

Abstract

Sleep analysis is widely and experimentally considered due to its importance to body health care. Since its sufficiency is essential for a healthy life, people often spend almost a third of their lives sleeping. In this case, a similar sleep pattern is not practiced by every individual, regarding pure healthiness or disorders such as insomnia, apnea, bruxism, epilepsy, and narcolepsy. Therefore, this study aims to determine the classification patterns of sleep stages, using big data for health care. This used a high-dimensional FFT extraction algorithm, as well as a feature importance and tuning classifier, to develop accurate classification. The results showed that the proposed method led to more accurate classification than previous techniques. This was because the previous experiments had been conducted with the feature selection model, with accuracy implemented as a performance evaluation. Meanwhile, the EEG Sleep Stages classification model in this present report was composed of the feature selection and importance of the extraction stage. The previous and present experiments also reached the highest values of accuracy, with the Random Forest and SVM models using 2000 and 3000 features (87.19% and 89.19%, respectively. In this article, we proposed an analysis that the feature importance subsequently influenced the model's accuracy. This was because the proposed method was easily fine-tuned and optimized for each subject to improve sensitivity and reduce false negative occurrences.

Abstract

The inspection of packaging defects is a crucial aspect of maintaining the quality of industrial production, especially in the case of boxed products. This study introduces a novel approach for detecting physical defects in product packaging boxes by integrating image processing with deep learning, specifically transfer learning with two images as an input. The proposed method utilizes both top view and side view images of the packaging to determine its condition, a significant departure from the conventional single image input. Our approach incorporates 16 pre-trained model variants from EfficientNetV2, MobileNetV3, and ResNetV2 for transfer learning as feature extractors. The experimental findings demonstrate that the best model that leverages EfficientNetV2 variant achieves 100% accuracy and F1 score in terms of classification performance. However, the most optimal model in terms of classification performance and inference speed was the one that leveraged ResNetV2 variant. This model scored 95% accuracy and 95.24% F1 score, with an inference speed of 91 ms per prediction.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi Virtual Reality (VR) dalam pendidikan Sekolah Dasar (SD) menjadi solusi inovatif untuk mengatasi keterbatasan metode pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang interaktif. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SD Negeri Barusari 02 di Semarang tentang kendaraan bermotor melalui penguatan media pembelajaran dengan teknologi VR. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam 5 tahap, yaitu Design Thinking, Komunikasi Tim Pengabdi dengan Mitra, Finalisasi Media Pembelajaran, Penerapan IPTEKS untuk Mitra, dan Evaluasi Hasil. Pengembangan media pembelajaran menggunakan metode SDLC Waterfall. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 72.5% dalam pemahaman mengenai Virtual Reality dan kendaraan bermotor. Sebesar 90% peserta merasa sangat senang belajar menggunakan permainan Virtual Reality, dan 95% menyatakan keinginan untuk menggunakannya kembali. Pengabdian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan teknologi VR dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap bidang permesinan kendaraan bermotor.

Abstract

Karang Taruna adalah salah satu organisasi pemuda yang keberadaanya terstruktur merata di seluruh Indonesia dari tingkat RT/RW, desa/kelurahan, dan kecamatan. Pemuda penerus bangsa sangat terbiasa dengan pemanfaatan teknologi terkini di bidang TIK, salah satunya adalah teknologi Virtual Reality (VR). Pada kegiatan program pengabdian dosen kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dengan media interaktif berbasis VR kepada pemuda karang taruna tentang teknologi Biopori. Teknologi Biopori merupakan salah satu alternatif pencegah banjir yang dapat dilakukan oleh seluruh khalayak masyarakat dengan membuat lubang resapan di sekitar lingkungannya. Bencana banjir yang kerap melanda kota Semarang disebabkan salah satunya oleh resapan air yang sudah jauh berkurang jumlahnya. Oleh sebab itu, apabila terjadi hujan dengan intensitas sedang dalam kurun waktu lama, akan menyebabkan banjir. Pemberian edukasi akan lebih mengena kepada anak muda khususnya pemuda karang taruna dengan memberikan sosialiasi teknologi biopori. Hasil yang telah didapatkan adalah para peserta merasa sangat antusias dengan teknologi Virtual Reality (VR) karena dapat menggambarkan kondisi yang sebenarnya walaupun melalui sebuah film. Selain itu, para pemuda karang taruna menjadi paham dan mengerti tentang teknologi Biopori dapat mencegah banjir. Oleh sebab itu, sosialisasi kepada masyarakat khususnya tentang teknologi biopori sangat tepat diberikan dengan teknologi VR khusunya bagi pemuda karang taruna.
