Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi dalam pembelajaran memberi dukungan positif terhadap kualitas pengelolaan pembelajaran, salah satunya adalah pemanfaatan big data sebagai sumber bahan-bahan pengembangan media. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, dilapangan diperoleh informasi bahwa guru SD di Kec. Sungai Lala belum terampil mengembangkan media pembelajaran secara optimal. Terkait dengan hal ini, maka kami dari Program studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UNRI bekerjasama dengan UPTD Kec. Sungai Lala Kab. Indragiri Hulu menaja sebuah kegiatan workshop pengembangan media bagi guru-guru SD se-Kec. Sungai Lala. Adapun hasil kegiatan ini berdasarkan tahapan pelaksanaannya adalah: (1) pada tahap persiapan dihasilkan kebutuhan yang mendasar bagi guru terkait dengan pembelajaran yakni keterampilan membuat media pembelajaran; (2) pada tahap pelaksanaan, dilakukan presentasi materi oleh tim dan latihan mengembangkan media; (3) pada tahap evaluasi dihasilkan respon peserta terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan, yang disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan workshop memberikan hal baru bagi peserta dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the difference in self-regulation of students of Mathematics Education FKIP Riau University during online lectures regarding gender. The subjects of this study were students of Mathematics Education FKIP Riau University batch 2017, 2018, and 2019 as many as 30 students, with details of 15 male and 15 female students. To collect data in this study, the authors used a self-regulation questionnaire. After the self-regulation questionnaire is valid and reliable, the questionnaire is then distributed to students who are research subjects. The self-regulation score data was then processed using descriptive statistical techniques. The results of data processing are then interpreted for each gender. Next, to see if there is a difference in self-regulation between students who take online lectures between male and female students, a t-test is carried out. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference in self-regulation between male and female students. As a follow-up, lecturers can provide equal treatment between male and female students to optimize self-regulation. However, if we look at each indicator, there are indicators of task strategy and seeking help that reach different score categories between male and female students.

Abstract

Based on previous research, one of the gender differences between men and women in mathematics is problem solving skills. Gender differences in mathematical problem solving can be an indication of the different errors experienced by male and female students. The question of this research is what kinds of error are made by students in solving indefinite integrals viewed from gender differences? While the purpose of this research is to describe the type of errors made by students in solving indefinite integrals viewed from gender differences. This research is a qualitative research using a descriptive research methodology approach. The subjects were 3 male students male and 3 female students taken by purposive sampling. Data were collected from indefinite integral test, which are used to determine the type of the students’ fault in solving problem based on indicators Newman. Indefinite integrals in this research regarding indefinite integral by substitution and integration of fractional function by partial fraction. From the result of the study, it was found that for integral substitution problem, all of the male students could solve the problems well, while female students made transformation and process skill errors. In a matter of integration of rational function by partial fractions, 1 male students encountered process skills error, while two other male students encountered comprehension error. For female students, the error that occurs is transformation error.

Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang masih perlu mendapat perhatian sampai saat ini, salah satunya dari bidang Pendidikan. Guru sebagai salah satu faktor yang berperan dalam Pendidikan perlu memiliki keterampilan menyusun instrumen evaluasi HOTS sehingga dapat melatih dan mengukur kemampuan HOTS siswa secara lebih akurat. Untuk itu, Workshop Penyusunan Instrumen Evaluasi HOTS perlu dilakukan dengan memberikan materi, tanya jawab, diskusi, penugasan, presentasi, dan mengecek respon peserta. Secara umum, kegiatan pengabdian telah berlangsung dengan baik, yang dapat dilihat dari peningkatan skor pretes yang semula 41.38 menjadi 51.38 pada pretes. Selain itu, kesuksesan kegiatan juga dapat dilihat dari rata-rata respon peserta kegiatan yang berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan persentase 93.24%.

Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) merupakan kemampuan yang perlu dimiliki siswa untuk menghadapi perubahan dan perkembangan zaman saat ini. Guna mengoptimalisasikan kemampuan HOTS siswa, salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan mengembangkan soal HOTS. Hal ini disebabkan, tanpa adanya soal HOTS, akan sulit untuk mengukur pencapaian kemampuan HOTS siswa. Namun, masih ada sekolah yang belum menggunakan soal HOTS dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan penyusunan soal HOTS perlu diberikan kepada guru-guru yang belum menggunakan soal HOTS dalam pembelajaran. Metode pelaksanaan pelatihan dilakukan dengan memberikan materi terkait definisi dan karakteristik soal HOTS, serta bagaimana menyusun soal HOTS tersebut. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan pelatihan sudah berjalan cukup baik. Berdasarkan angket yang diberikan kepada guru, semua peserta menyukai pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan yang telah dilakukan, terlihat dari rata-rata respon sebesar 93.24% dan berada pada kategori sangat baik.. Selain itu, peserta pelatihan telah menyusun soal HOTS di mata pelajaran masing-masing. Ditinjau dari rata-rata skor pretes sebesar 41.38 dan rata-rata skor postes sebesar 51.38, berarti telah terjadi peningkatan pada skor postes. Namun, jika dilihat dari soal HOTS yang telah dihasilkan, masih ada soal yang belum memenuhi karakteristik soal HOTS, sehingga masih memerlukan perbaikan lebih lanjut.Kata kunci—guru SMA, HOTS, pelatihan

Abstract

Mathematics is a material that students consider difficult because its concepts are abstract. To overcome this, one approach that can be used is using technology-assisted learning. GeoGebra applet is a technology that is commonly used in mathematics. However, a few studies have discussed the relevance of this study to further research related to GeoGebra applets in mathematics and explore its potential. Therefore, this article discusses the development and integration of GeoGebra Applets in Mathematics Learning. The aim of this research is to investigate the relevance of the study to further research related to GeoGebra applets in mathematics and discuss the potential of these applets in enhancing students’ ability in mathematics learning. The research method used is the Systematic Literature Review method, which analyses articles from 2013 to 2022. The research results show that GeoGebra Applets have been developed in various forms, including applications, ebooks, and assignment applications. The most commonly discussed learning material is geometry, with the potential for further research on other materials. GeoGebra Applets have been proven to help improve students' understanding, representation, problem-solving, and critical and spatial thinking skills in mathematics learning. This application positively contributes to the quality of mathematics learning through various forms of learning, including independent, direct, and innovative learning.

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui alat teknologi yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran Kalkulus Integral, peran alat teknologi bagi mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran Kalkulus Integral, topik Kalkulus Integral yang sudah dikembangkan dengan alat teknologi, dan visualisasi alat teknologi dalam pembelajaran Kalkulus Integral. Metode yang digunakan adalah SLR menggunakan protokol PRISMA untuk memilih artikel yang memenuhi syarat melalui database Google Scholar periode 2018-2023. Protokol PRISMA berisi empat tahapan yaitu identification, screening, eliglibility, dan include. Dari 93 artikel yang terjaring hanya 5 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria untuk dikaji lebih lanjut. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran Kalkulus Integral masih sangat sedikit. The research was conducted to determine the technological tools used in learning Integral Calculus, the role of technological tools for students in learning Integral Calculus, Integral Calculus topics developed using technological tools, and visualization of technological tools in learning Integral Calculus. The method used is SLR using the PRISMA protocol to select eligible articles through the Google Scholar database for 2018-2023. The PRISMA protocol contains four stages, namely identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. Of the 93 articles collected, only 5 met the criteria for further study. The research results state that the use of technology in teaching Integral Calculus is still very small.

Abstract

Character education and learning mathematics are often considered as two different things. Whereas character education is one of the focuses of the Kurikulum Merdeka through the Profil Pelajar Pancasila, which can be instilled in all fields of study. One way to provide character education in mathematics learning is through inculcating habits of mind. This paper aims to find out whether character education through instilling habits of mind can support the achievement of students' mathematical cognitive abilities. The method used in writing this paper is literature study or literature review. From the results of the literature study, it is found that character education can be carried out by instilling habits of mind. This is because the habits of mind have 16 indicators which are positive characters. Besides being able to develop positive character, character education through inculcating habits of mind can also support the achievement of students' cognitive abilities, which can also be seen from several previous studies. This is due to the positive characters that have been embedded in students, for example, such as the characters of perseverance, curiosity, critical, analytical, communication, and empathy. This means that by providing character education through instilling habits of mind, not only positive character will be formed in students, but students' cognitive achievement will also be more optimal.

Abstract

Isu tentang keberlanjutan dan tuntutan perkembangan zaman dalam mengembangkan soft skills telah mendorong penelitian terkait penerapan Pendidikan untuk Pembangunan Berkelanjutan dalam pembelajaran matematika guna memperkuat soft skills. Hal ini menjadi topik yang layak untuk dipertimbangkan. Oleh karena itu, perlu diteliti bagaimana penerapan Pendidikan untuk Pembangunan Berkelanjutan dalam pembelajaran matematika telah berhasil mengembangkan soft skills. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review untuk menganalisis artikel penelitian dari tahun 2012 hingga 2023. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, ditemukan bahwa untuk mencapai soft skills, Pendidikan untuk Pembangunan Berkelanjutan dalam pembelajaran matematika dilakukan melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran yang merancang peserta didik agar aktif terlibat, menawarkan masalah keberlanjutan yang dapat dipecahkan secara matematis, serta memberikan kesempatan bagi peserta didik untuk berdiskusi, berkolaborasi, dan mengemukakan pendapat. Selain itu, peran bahan ajar juga sangat penting, sehingga pendidik perlu memilih buku dan media yang memuat konten tentang keberlanjutan. Terdapat peluang besar untuk penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai pencapaian soft skills melalui Pendidikan untuk Pembangunan Berkelanjutan dalam pembelajaran matematika, mengingat masih ada banyak aspek soft skills yang belum diteliti secara mendalam.

Abstract

AbstractLinear Algebra is one of the mathematical subjects that students majoring in Mathematics Education need to master, as it has connections with other fields, other mathematical topics, and plays a role in solving everyday life problems. Previous research indicates that the achievement of learning outcomes in Linear Algebra still needs further optimization. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of assessing the achievement of learning outcomes in Linear Algebra, specifically in the topics of Systems of Linear Equations and Matrices. This research utilized a qualitative descriptive research method. Data was collected through a linear algebra test comprising four questions related to Systems of Linear Equations (SLE) and matrices. Subsequently, the percentage of student learning outcomes achievement for each question and the total score were calculated and interpreted. The results of this study indicate that the overall learning outcomes of students fall into the moderate category with a percentage of 50.51%. When examining each individual question, three questions fall into the moderate category, while one question falls into the high category. Keywords:  linear algebra; mathematics learning outcomes; matrix; system of linear equations AbstrakAljabar Linear merupakan salah satu materi matematika yang perlu dikuasai mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika karena memiliki keterkaitan dengan bidang lain, materi matematika lainnya, ataupun berperan dalam menyelesaikan masalah di kehidupan sehari-hari. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian hasil belajar Aljabar Linear masih perlu dioptimalkan lagi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pencapaian hasil belajar Aljabar Linear pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear dan Matriks. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik tes aljabar linear dengan materinya Sistem Persamaan Linear (SPL) dan matriks, yang terdiri dari 4 soal. Selanjutnya dihitung persentase pencapaian hasil belajar mahasiswa di tiap butir soal, dan pada skor totalnya, serta diinterpretasikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar mahasiswa secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase sebesar 50,51%. Dilihat dari masing-masing butir soal, 3 soal berada pada kategori sedang, sedangkan 1 soal lainnya berada pada kategori tinggi. Kata Kunci: aljabar linear; hasil belajar matematika; matriks; sistem persamaan linear  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/mtk/v11i3.pp193-203
