Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian karakterisasi batuan dengan menggunakan sensor berbasis kapasitansi dengan sampel batuan shalegas dan sandstone. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan sifat listrik batuan dari pengaruh besar porositas terhadap pengukuran kapasitansi. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan menjadi dua pengujian secara eksperimen dan simulasi. Pengukuran kapasitansi batuan menggunakan dua alat, yaitu rangkaian CV-converter dan capacito meter. Fungsi rangkaian CV-converter untuk mengetahui respon frekuensi terhadap kapasitansi batuan dan capacito meter untuk mengetahui hubungan besar porositas batuan dengan nilai kapasitansi terukur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan sensor kapasitansi mampu mengukur perbedaan kapasitansi pada setiap sampel batuan dengan karakteristik (porositas) batuan yang berbeda. Dari hasil pengukuran rangkaian CV-converter diperoleh frekuensi kapasitansi maksimal pada frekuensi rendah antara 500kHz–1MHz dan dari hasil pengukuran capacito meter hubungan besar porositas dengan kapasitansi berbanding terbalik untuk batuan sandstone namun pada sampel shalegas berbanding lurus.

Abstract

The electrical characteristics of cassava peel can be determined by using electrode, a pair of electrode that used in this research is Cu-Zn. The measurement of the electrical characteristics of cassava peel had been done using a 1.2 watt LED load and when the load is released. Varieties of cassava which used are white cassava, genjah urang cassava and bassiro cassava. Electrolyte cel that used consists of 20 cells, which were arranged in series with volume 200 ml for one cell. The maximum voltage when the load is removed generated white cassava peel is 12.38 V, genjah urang cassava peel is 14.36 V, and bassiro cassava peel is 13.81 V. Type of cassava peel that has the best electrical characteristics to charge phone battery is genjah urang cassava peel. The test of handphone battery charging had been done when handphone was empty or couldn’t be turned on and when handphone battery had charged for two hours, it made the handphone on for 15 seconds after removed from the circuit.

Abstract

An initial study research has been carried out on the realization of electrical properties analyzer of liquids that interact with light to be applied to spectrometry. This study aims to develop a spectrometry method based on changes in electrical resistance in liquids when interacting with laser. Methylene blue solution was used as a sample that illuminated by a laser with 650 nm wavelength.The laser beam causes a change in electrical resistance in the methylene blue solution detected by Arduino Nano and converted to a concentration quantity. The conversion equation for changes in electrical resistance to concentration was obtained from the measurement of the change in electrical resistance of methylene blue solutions at concentration of 100 ppm, 200 ppm, 400 ppm, 600 ppm, 800 ppm, 1000 ppm. The equation was obtained based on the exponential regression approach with error value of 15,70 %. The analyzer test was carried out by measuring the concentration of methylene blur solution at a concentration of 500 ppm, 600 ppm, and 700 ppm. The test results show an error value of 9,83 %.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini merupakan bentuk kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pemafaatan limbah lampu hemat energi (LHE) untuk pembuatan lampu emergency. Pembuatan lampu emergency dilakukan dengan metode JouleThief. Metode ini mampu meningkatkan daya listrik rendah dari sumber baterai 1,5 volt menjadi arus bolak-balik AC yang dapat menyalakan lampu LED. Peserta dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah sekitar 32 orang. Setiap peserta pengabdian dibina tentang proses pemanfaatan limbah lampu LHE yang sudah tidak terpakai agar menjadi barang siap guna dan memiliki nilai jual ekonomis. Komponen yang digunakan dalam pembuatan lampu emergency semuanya diperoleh dari komponen dari bekas lampu LHE. Dengan kegiatan ini diharapkan masyarakat mitra menjadi paham tentang bagaimana memanfaatkan limbah yang sulit terurai menjadi barang siap jual. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian TIK sebelum kegiatan pengabdian pembuatan lampu emergency dengan teknik Joule Thief adalah 35,63%. Pencapaian TIK setelah kegiatan pengabdian pembuatan emergency adalah 80,94%. Dari hasil tersebut, terjadi peningkatan untuk masing-masing pencapaian TIK dengan rata-rata sebesar 45,31%.

Abstract

In this research, the lithium-ion 48 Volt battery charging system's design was carried out on the prototype electric car using the boost converter tool. Boost converter consists of several circuit systems, namely oscillator circuit, trigger circuit, switching circuit, inductor, and DC output. IC TL 494 as pulse and frequency wave generator, used to regulate the switching process on the MOSFET circuit in the boost converter. This research was conducted by presenting variations in the inductor wire's diameter to determine the result of the current output used for the filling process by varying the diameter by 0.8 mm, 4 mm, and 8 mm. The number of wire twists used remains 5:27 and produces an output voltage boost converter of 54 Volts. The results showed the inductor wire's diameter affected the output of the boost converter and the length of battery charging time on the electric car. The length of time of battery draining at the wire's diameter is 0.8 mm, which is for 680 minutes, at the wire 4 mm diameter for 290 minutes, and at the diameter of the wire, 8 mm is for 400 minutes. The boost converter has the advantage of being more efficient in terms of dimensions, resulting in 3 times the voltage and power increase compared to the input voltage. The maximum panel input power of 14.5 Watts when added boost converter maximum power increased by 47.84 Watts.

Abstract

A computer vision-based non-destructive pineapple maturity level identification system has been realized. This research was conducted to create a system capable of identifying six indexes of pineapple maturity level. An artificial neural network is used as a classifier for the level of maturity pineapples. Artificial neural network input is a statistical parameter consisting of mean, standard deviation, variance, kurtosis, and skewness of RGB and HSV color models pineapple images. Statistical parameters of the color model with a Pearson correlation value greater than 0.5 were used to characterize pineapple images. A total of 360 pineapple images were used in the training process with a percentage of 75% of training data and 25% of validation data. An image segmentation process is applied to separate the pineapple image from the image background. The result of this research is a pineapple maturity level identification system consisting of software and hardware which is able to identify six indexes of pineapple maturity level with average accuracy value of 98,4%.

Abstract

The research about a design of prototype automatic pineapple sorting has been done with a belt conveyor system using a Blue Pill STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller. This research was conducted to create a prototype that can sort pineapples based on maturity level by classified unripe, ripe, and fully ripe. Sorting pineapple against the pineapple ripeness classification was carried out by a simulation process using serial data of index maturity sent from the PC monitor serial to microcontroller via serial communication. The serial data sent in character format was an integer 1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6; and 7. The conveyor using a chain with gear transmission system and a DC motor as a drive. The results showed that the instument is capable of carrying a maximum load of pineapple fruit of 1.0 kg with a transport speed of 27,98 cm/s and can perform pineapple ripeness sorting with an accuracy more than 90%.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai sistem pembangkit listrik pikohidro banyak dikembangkan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Namun, dalam proses penelitian sistem pembangkit listrik pikohidro masih memiliki kendala pada daya yang dihasilkan ketika debit air yang digunakan sangat kecil. Daya listrik yang dihasilkan dapat ditingkatkan dengan modul generator dan modul joule thief. Modul generator menggunakan turbin dengan diameter 4 cm untuk menggerakkan generator magnet permanen sedangkan modul joule thief terdiri dari charger controller TP4056 sebagai pengendali pengisian baterai, baterai lithium-ion 3200 mAh sebagai penyimpan daya listrik yang dihasilkan generator dan rangkaian joule thief untuk meningkatkan daya listrik yang tersimpan pada baterai. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan 7 variasi debit air yaitu 0,06 liter/detik, 0,066 liter/detik, 0,071 liter/detik, 0,077 liter/detik, 0,093 liter/detik, 0,138 liter/detik, dan 0,14 liter/detik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kenaikan daya yang dihasilkan setiap bertambahnya debit air. Daya maksimal yang dihasilkan pada sistem pembangkit listrik ini sebesar 7,75 W dan mampu untuk menyuplai daya untuk lampu LED 220 V 3 W selama 165 menit.

Abstract

In this research, the water turbidity measurement tool based on Arduino Uno has been designed and built using phototransistors and infrared LEDs. This measuring instrument consists of a series of infrared sensors, Arduino as a process, LCD I2C as a value viewer, Micro SD as a data storage, and RTC as a timer. This study used two water samples with various concentrations. The sample used, namely distilled water plus impurities in the form of soil and ash. The distilled water used is still 100 ml with variations in the concentration of impurities ranging from 0,1-0,9 gr. Sensor test results show that the greater the turbidity level, the greater the voltage obtained. Sensor scanning ranges from 2,02 V-4,00 V for groundwater and 2,02 V-4,31 V for ash water. The reading uses a standard measuring instrument for groundwater ranging from 0 NTU to 331,4 NTU, while for ash water ranging from 0 NTU to 284,4 NTU. Data from the sensor test results in an equation used to convert the artificial measuring instrument's voltage value into a turbidity value. Then, data is taken using the same sample, so groundwater's turbidity value was obtained from 0 NTU to 318,94 NTU while for ash water from 0 NTU to 285,13 NTU. Based on the results, average accuracy for water was obtained. Soil amounted to 94,66%, while for ash water was 96,63%.

Abstract

Research on application of the design an Arduino Uno-based automatic transformer wire winding machine has been carried out. The research aim was to make an automatic winding machine using wire coils that can be adjusted for rotation speed and high accuracy of the number of turns. In testing system, the enamel wire was wrapped around with a different number of turns, that is 200;400;600;800;1000 turns. The calibration method in this study was carried out manually, that is recounting the turns on the koker that had been wrapped using an automatic winding machine. The speed of the winding machine is calibrated using a tachometer. The results of the calculation of the average rolling accuracy of 99,73%.
