Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mempelajari penggunaan magnesium (Mg) sebagai anoda tumbal untuk melindungi Zn yang digunakan sebagai anoda dalam sel elektrokimia untuk menghasilkan energi listrik dari air laut. Sebagai katoda digunakan Cu yang dilapisi dengan logam Ag untuk melindunginya dari korosi katodik. Sel elektrikimia dirangkai terdiri dari 20 sel yang disusun secara seri, dan masing-masing sel diisi air sebanyak 300 mL. Sel elektrokimia dihubungkan dengan beban LED 3 watt 12 volt selama 72 jam dan pengambilan data karakteristik listrik meliputi tegangan, arus, dan intensitas cahaya, setiap 1 jam. Dari data tegangan dan arus, dihitung besarnya hambatan dalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Mg sebagai anoda tumbal menghasilkan data karaktersitik listrik yang lebih besar dibanding dengan sel elektrokimia tanpa penggunaan anoda tumbal.

An increasing number of crimes in society make people want to take advantage of technological developments to improve their safety and comfort. This paper research the possibilities to made house secure and comfort by using internet of things (IoT) to control and monitor also well known as smart house. This paper using NodeMCU ESP-12E for the IoT controller and smartphone for user to control and monitor house environment. The results shows that the system designs for smart home are promising. The sensors response time for average response time is 2.52 seconds for solenoid door lock, the average responses time for motion detection testing is 2.30 seconds, the average response time for first lamp is 3.71 seconds and 4.37 seconds for second lamp, the average response time is 1.74 seconds for LPG gas leakage, the average response time is 2.59 seconds for front terrace and 2.17 seconds for back terrace.

This paper proposes a method of detecting air pollution in a region using image processing techniques. The image used is the infrared image that obtained using a modified digital camera by mounting the SRS filter. Image processing technique used is to utilize wavelet transformation. Pollutants are detected based on the average number of white pixels that appear on the image. This white pixel appears due to the reflection of the wavelength of the pollutant that hits the sensor on the camera. From the results of the proposed method detection is known that the highest pollution occurs in 12.00 which is the busiest traffic time and the lowest pollution occurred in 08.00 where the traffic passing through the area has not been crowded.

Indonesia is located at the junction of three tectonic plates and has many active faults. The consequence of this tectonic arrangement makes Indonesia prone to earthquakes. Therefore, earthquake mitigation efforts based on an early warning system need to be done. The design of an earthquake strength estimation system, based on python, for this early warning, analyzes the initial phase of the first three seconds since the arrival of the P wave, using parameters in the form of Pd (the maximum amplitude of the first three seconds of the arrival of the P wave). The resulting tools and systems consist of hardware in the form of Raspberry Pi3B + and ADXL345. The system will detect in real time and automatically trigger an earthquake using the STA / LTA method. When the Pd and Td parameters have been obtained, the system will calculate and issue earthquake strength information, in the form of magnitude and intensity scale of earthquake damage MMI (Modified Mercally Intensity), which will then be sent automatically via the telegram application. Testing of tools and systems was carried out in an earthquake simulator, using the Padang earthquake parameters on 30 September 2009, 17:16:09 WIB. The results of the test produce an intensity scale of VIII MMI, these results are close to the results of the BMKG for the earthquake, with an intensity scale of VIII MMI. From these results the designed tools and systems can be used to provide early warning in the event of an earthquake.

It has been designed and realized a rain meter type weighing bucket, this device by raining volume grader type weighing bucket, utilizing timbangan's principle with spiral spring. potentiometer that is strung up on spiral spring axis have output as changed as interference which its point in proportion to length increase of system. Raining volume to be gotten by weighs rainwater mass with permanence water type mass as big as 1 kg / liter therefore water mass point already been weighed one par with appreciative volumed rainwater. Measurement and count result already been measured and is read on mikrokontroler will thru feature LCD 16x2 and is kept on micro sd . Data that is taken as big as 20 kb in the period of 1 downloading hours. Quick its slowing inlay on penampung's container regarded by rain Intensity. gotten by measurement deviation (Deviation default) as big as 0,4 until 0,44 liters. With raining average that is taken up to 1 hour is 0.5 liter or one par with 0.5 kg water mass.

Fertility rate is one of the main factors of the success of an egg in order to hatch properly. The process of egg fertility detection is currently visually based, using manual methods (by carrying eggs one by one). This takes time and cost so that it will affect the production of poultry cultivation. This study aims to find out the characteristics of rapid propagation of ultrasonic waves in eggs. Information regarding the characteristics of rapid wave propagation is very important in the process of evaluating and testing the quality of eggs because the rapid propagation of the wave reflects the quality of the eggs that are generally done destructively. This research is expected to be preliminary information in developing rapid and objective non-destructive technology for determining the fertility of poultry eggs using ultrasonic waves. The study reported the results of rapid measurements of ultrasonic wave propagation propagated on different types of eggs. This study used three types of eggs, namely poultry-chicken eggs, organic-chickens and ducks. Methods in the process of determining the characteristics of each egg using ultrasonic waves. Ultrasonic waves are waves that can propagate on certain objects, materials and components. The HC-SR04 module is used as an ultrasonic wave transmitter and receiver medium. Ultrasonic waves of 40 Khz are propagated to the surface of the egg and received by a receiver transducer placed facing each other. The distance between the egg and the HC-SR04 module is 5 cm and 10 cm. Distance and length of propagation time parameters are used as information to generate egg wave propagation speed values. The test process was carried out on 10 eggs, from each type. The observed age of the egg sample was 5 and 14 days. Based on the results of testing and calculations provide results that duck eggs have the highest speed value, while chicken eggs are the lowest. Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan dan mengembangkan unit usaha mitra dalam mengolah sampah plastik untuk menghasilkan produk dengan nilai ekonomis lebih tinggi. Demikian juga, kegiatan ini akan berefek langsung terhadap usaha penanganan limbah plastik. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan dan aplikasi penggunaan alat pengering sampah plastik jenis centrifugal dryer. Dalam sosialisasi akan dijelaskan secara singkat tentang pemanfaatan dan penanganan limbah plastik. Pelatihan dan aplikasi alat diberikan kepada unit usaha mitra tentang cara penggunaan alat pengering plastik. Kegiatan dilakukan di Desa Sumber Jaya Jati Agung, dengan sasaran khususnya adalah mitra pengelola limbah plastik. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah belum efisiennya waktu pengeringan hasil cacahan plastik dan membutuhkan lahan yang luas untuk penjemuran produk. Hal ini berefek langsung terhadap kapasitas penjualan produk. Dengan kegiatan PKM ini mitra pengelola daur ulang plastik dapat menggunakan alat pengeringsentrifugal untuk meningkatkan efisiensi waktu pengeringan cacahan plastik dan akan memberikan keuntungan bagi mitra. In PKM activity, the managing partner of recycling plastic can be used centrifugal dryer to improve the efficiency time drying of the pieces of plastic and to increase the economic profit of the partner. Pekon Kiluan Negeri, Kecamatan Kelumbayan, Kabupaten Tanggamus merupakan destinasi wisata unggulan provinsi Lampung. Selain keindahan panorama daerah, daerah ini juga menawarkan fasilitas yang berbeda dengan daerah obyek wisata lainnya, yaitu pengamatan lumba-lumba di laut lepas. kekurangan yang ada pada daerah ini adalah minimnya penerangan jalan pada malam hari. Hal ini memberi kesan kurang aman pada daerah wisata ini. Kekurangan ini dipicu karena kurangnya pasokan energi listrik ke daerah ini sehingga masyarakat lebih mementingkan memenuhi kebutuhan listrik rumah tanga mereka terlebih dahulu. Selain itu tegangan listrik dari PLN yang tidak stabil seringkali merusakkan peralatan listrik yang ada. Melihat kenyataan tersebut, timbul permasalahan bagaimana cara mengenalkan teknologi pembangkit listrik tenaga surya (matahari) ini. Cara yang paling mudah adalah dengan memanfaatkan energi surya ini sebagai energi alternatif untuk fasilitas penerangan jalan umum. Diharapkan semua warga merasa memiliki terhadap peralatan yang ada ini dan turut menjaga keawetannya. Dari kegiatan ini, telah terpasang satu unit lampu penerangan jalan berbasis PLTS, dan pemahaman serta keterampilan masyarakat Pekon Kiluan Negeri dalam mempersiapkan, pengoperasian, dan perawatan lampu jalan. This activity gave impacts directly to attempt plastic waste disposal. The methods have done in this activity community service, covering socialization, training and application of using bed filter. In the socialization will be explained in a brief about the use and handling plastic waste. The training and application given to the partner business unit how about the use of a filter the type of bed filter. The activity was conducted in Desa Margo Lestari, Jati Agung, the targets are especially the partner of plastic waste management. The problem of the partner is the inefficient using water to wash the pieces of plastic. This directly affect needs of water and the quality product. In PKM activity, the managing partner of recycling plastic can be used bed filter to improve the efficiency of the amount of water to wash the pieces of plastic and to increase the economic profit of the partner.

Indonesia merupakan negara yang kaya akan satwa, namun diantara beberapa satwa masuk dalam kategori terancam punah. Pemerintah telah melakukan berbagai upaya konservasi untuk melindungi keberadaannya. Salah satunya adalah dengan melakukan pengamatan terhadap keberadaan hewan tersebut. Pengamatan secara langsung sulit dilakukan karena beberapa spesies merupakan satwa elusif. Karena sifat tersebut maka satwa-satwa ini memiliki daerah teritorial yang terpencil dan sulit diakses yang menyebabkan pengamatan secara langsung kurang memungkinkan. Oleh sebab itu dirancang sebuah camera trap yang merekam video secara otomatis dengan tampilan secara realtime pada user interface berbasis video sender.Camera trap ini juga mampu mengirimkan video ke pengamat yang tidak berada pada lokasi pengamatan. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa rata-rata camera trap mampu aktif selama 20,8 jam, mampu mendeteksi keberadaan objek hingga 6 meter pada sudut 0O dan maksimal 4 meter pada sudut jangkauan 90O, jarak pengiriman video sender tidak lebih dari 300 m, untuk rekaman selama 5 detik rata-rata ukuran data sebesar 505.54 kB, saat malam hari objek yang dapat terlihat dengan jelas hanya sampai jarak 3 meter.
