Abstract

Palm kernel shells are one of the main wastes for processing of palm oil. Palm kernel shells are waste that can be used as a catalyst in the biodiesel production. Besides many natural ingredients, the price of catalyst prepared from these materials is also relatively cheap compared to other catalysts, make the biodiesel production more sustainable, and environmentally friendly. This study aims to make activated carbon from palm shell through the process of carbonization and chemical activation. The carbonization process was carried out at 550oC for 3 hours until charcoal was formed. While the activation process was carried out using ZnCl2 activators with concentrations of 0.1 M, 0.25 M, 0.5 M and 1 M which were activated for 4 hours at 90oC.  Based on the results of the FTIR analysis the presence of O-H and C-O bonds indicates that the carbon produced from the palm kernel shell tends to be polar (volatile). Thus the charcoal produced can be used as catalyst in the biodiesel production. For the SEM test results, it can be seen morphologically that more pore crystals are added and are still brittle at a ZnCl2 concentration of 0.1 M. Based on FTIR and SEM analysis, the best activated charcoal was activated charcoal with a concentration of 0.25 M ZnCl2.

Abstract

Arabic requires four competencies in its mastery, maharatul istima', maharatul kalam, maharatul qira'ah and maharatul kitabah. In Maharatul Kalam which is a practical ability in speaking, STIT Diniyyah Puteri Rahmah El Yunusiyyah still does not show maximum mastery, this is evidenced by the lack of conversation used in Arabic and also the use of rules that are not appropriate when speaking. This can be seen from the initial observation value made by lecturers showing an achievement of 42%. This type of research is a class action research (PTK) and is carried out at STIT Diniyyah Puteri Rahmah el Yunusiyyah Padang Panjang. With the subject of research for 5th semester female students of the PAI Study Program for the academic year 2022-2023, consisting of 12 students. The instrument used is an observation sheet on the improvement of maharatul kalam carried out directly by the eye-supporting lecturer as well as the researcher. The results of this study show that the application of the Taqdimul Qissah method can improve speaking skills in semester 5 of PAI STIT Diniyyah Puteri Rahmah el Yunusiyyah. The increase can be seen from the average score of maharatul kalam through taqdimul qissah without props, which is 57.10%. Then by using the media props that have been prepared, both in the form of pictures displayed such as playing puppets, as well as props worn directly as clothes by the narrator can increase enthusiasm in learning so that there is a more significant increase in the second cycle, which is 82.21%.

Abstract

Starting from growth that supports development, in the end growth and development go hand in hand. An important period in a child's growth and development begins in infancy because basic growth is what will influence and determine the child's subsequent development. The aim of this research is to detect deviations in the development of early childhood children aged 2-3 years at the ECCE Rahmah El Yunusiyyah Padang Panjang through the Stimulation, Detection and Early Intervention of Child Growth and Development (SDICGD) instruments in the Android feature. This research was conducted using a cross-sectional approach. Participants in this study were 26 children aged 2-3 years using a consecutive sampling technique of 10 children whose growth and development were monitored using the SDICGD android application. The results of this study showed that several partisipants experienced malnutrition, one partisipant out of nine normal partisipants. The Developmental Pre-Screening Questionnaire (DPSQ) instrument of the ten child participants contained nine children (90%) who were according to the developmental stage aged 24-36 months, and one child was not according to the developmental stage. The results of the Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) test showed that three children (60%) were normal, and two children (40%) were hyperactive. Early detection of children's growth and development must be carried out regularly every month, and according to the child's age. For further research, it is hoped that early detection will also be carried out on the development of children's mental health, not just growth and development which is common and widely researched. Schools and parents must play an active role in children's growth and development so that no developmental stages are missed, and children grow and develop according to their age.
