Abstract

ملخص كإحدى الدروس المهمة في حياة الإنسان، كانت اللغة العربية درسا واجبا في تعلمها خصوصا للمسلمين. الحقائق الظاهرة اليوم تظهر أن اهتمام الطلاب في تعلم اللغة العربية لا يزال قليلا جدًا. يبدو أن الأفكار السلبية عن صعوبة تعلم اللغة العربية عالقة في أذهان الطلاب التي تسبب إلي ضعف اهتمامهم في تعلمها. وانخفاض اهتمام التعلم هذا سيؤدي إلى إعاقة توزيع المعرفة والعلوم لدى الطلاب. لذلك، يكون المعلم شخصية مهمة في أنشطة التعلم القائم بها، ويسعى إلى ترقية اهتمام تعلم الطلاب لتحقيق أهداف التعلم المرجوة بسهولة. سيبحث هذا البحث جهود المعلم لترقية اهتمام الطلاب في تعلم اللغة العربية. واستخدمت الباحثة المدخل الكيفي لرغبتها إيجاد المفهوم السليم المتعلق بجهود المعلم لترقية اهتمام الطلاب في تعلم اللغة العربية. ونتائج البحث المحصولة تتصور على أن اهتمام الطلاب في التعلم يمكن ترقيته بوسيلة شتات الجهود منها إيصال أهمية تعلم اللغة العربية واستخدام الطرق التعلمية المختلفة وتوفير الحافز علي سبيل النصيحة وتقديم المكافآت والعقوبات للطلاب وتشجيعهم الفعالية في الأنشطة التعلمية. Abstrak Sebagai salah satu pelajaran yang berperan penting dalam kehidupan, bahasa Arab wajib dipelajari, terutama bagi umat Islam. Saat ini, fakta yang terlihat menunjukkan bahwa masih sangat sedikit siswa yang memiliki minat pada mata pelajaran penting ini. Pikiran negatif tentang pelajaran bahasa Arab tampaknya telah tertanam di benak siswa, menyebabkan rendahnya minat siswa untuk belajar bahasa Arab. Rendahnya minat belajar ini akan menghambat distribusi pengetahuan dan pengetahuan kepada siswa. Oleh karena itu, guru sebagai pendidik menjadi tokoh penting dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Guru perlu berupaya meningkatkan minat belajar siswa agar tujuan pembelajaran yang diinginkan dapat tercapai dengan mudah. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji upaya yang dilakukan guru dalam meningkatkan minat siswa dalam pembelajaran pelajaran bahasa Arab. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini mencoba mengungkapkan upaya yang dilakukan guru dalam meningkatkan minat siswa dalam belajar bahasa Arab. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan menggambarkan bahwa minat belajar siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui beberapa upaya, antara lain menyampaikan pentingnya pengetahuan bahasa Arab, menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang bervariasi, memberikan motivasi berupa nasihat, memberikan reward dan punishment kepada siswa, serta mendorong siswa untuk aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

This systematic literature review delves into the transformative effects of computer-based technology on writing performance, with a specific focus on studies conducted between 2017 and 2023. The review scrutinizes the impact of a diverse array of technologies, ranging from popular platforms like TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram to specialized tools such as Grammarly, Digital Storytelling, and Kahoot. By synthesizing findings from these studies, the review elucidates the multifaceted ways in which technology influences students' writing proficiency. Key findings underscore the nuanced impacts of these technologies, revealing their significant roles in fostering motivation, enhancing language skills, promoting engagement, and facilitating collaborative learning environments. Notably, Grammarly emerges as a prominent tool widely utilized to address grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors, thereby aiding in the refinement of writing quality. Meanwhile, platforms like Instagram are recognized for nurturing creativity, Twitter for facilitating personalized learning experiences, and Kahoot for fostering active engagement through interactive quizzes and games. By illuminating the diverse dimensions of technology's transformative role in writing performance, this review offers valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and researchers alike. It underscores the importance of leveraging technology as a strategic tool to enhance students' writing skills and foster a dynamic and enriching learning experience. Moreover, it highlights the need for continued exploration and adaptation of innovative technological solutions to meet the evolving needs of modern education.

Abstract

The integration of ChatGPT in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) writing instruction remains a relatively under-researched area, particularly in the Indonesian higher education context. This study explores the dual nature of ChatGPT—as both a pedagogical aid and a potential challenge—for undergraduate English education students at a university in Central Java. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected from thirty-two participants through a close-response questionnaire to gain insights into their perceptions and experiences. The findings indicate that the use of ChatGPT enhanced students’ writing confidence, time efficiency, and overall quality of written output. Students reported that ChatGPT facilitated idea generation, improved sentence coherence, and served as a valuable tool for self-editing. However, the study also identified several drawbacks, including overreliance on the tool, diminished critical and creative thinking, and concerns about the authenticity and accuracy of AI-generated content. To mitigate these issues, students engaged in peer review, expert consultation, and cross-referencing with credible sources to validate the generated material. The study emphasizes the importance of guiding students toward responsible and reflective use of artificial intelligence in academic writing. Pedagogical implications highlight the need for integrating ethical AI literacy, promoting critical engagement with AI-generated content, and fostering awareness of academic integrity. Ultimately, while ChatGPT presents significant opportunities for enhancing EFL writing pedagogy, its implementation must be thoughtfully managed to ensure it supports, rather than replaces, human cognitive and linguistic development.

Abstract

Keterampilan menulis artikel ilmiah populer mencerminkan kemampuan literasi dan juga merupakan alat yang efektif penyampaian ide, pandangan, atau temuan kepada teman sejawat dan masyarakat. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis artikel ilmiah populer pada guru dan siswa di SMA Negeri 9 Purworejo. Pelatihan difokuskan pada tiga aspek utama: konsep artikel ilmiah populer, struktur penulisan artikel ilmiah, dan penggunaan bahasa serapan dalam penulisan artikel ilmiah. Metode pelaksanaan melalui pendekatan ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab dan dilanjutkan praktek langsung. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan menulis artikel ilmiah populer baik pada guru maupun siswa. Melalui pelatihan, peserta mendapatkan pemahaman mendalam mengenai pentingnya artikel ilmiah populer sebagai wadah untuk menuangkan gagasan dan hasil penelitian dengan bahasa yang mudah dipahami. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan kepuasan peserta dan peningkatan kemampuan mereka setelah pelatihan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam upaya meningkatkan profesionalisme guru dan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate students‘ perceptions of the usefulness of AI Chatbot (ChatGPT) in improving writing skills and identifying perceived weaknesses in writing classes. The study employed a qualitative case study method at Muhammadiyah University of Purworejo, using questionnaires and interviews with fourth-semester English education students in the 2024/2025 academic year. The results revealed that students generally had positive perceptions of AI Chatbots in enhancing their writing skills, especially in idea generation, structure organization, and confidence building. Questionnaire data showed high agreement percentages and mean scores, particularly on statements about the value of AI in expressing ideas and improving writing skills. However, interviews uncovered challenges such as generic and shallow responses, inaccurate or fabricated references, over-reliance that reduces critical thinking, informal language styles, and misinterpretation of prompts. These findings highlight both the benefits and limitations of AI Chatbots in academic writing and underline the need for critical AI literacy and human guidance in educational contexts.

Abstract

This study investigates the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to enhance students’ writing skills in a vocational school setting. Conducted with 32 eleventh-grade students in the Computer Network Engineering program at SMK Pancasila 1 Kutoarjo, this qualitative descriptive research employed classroom observation, questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews to gather data. Findings reveal that ICT integration significantly improves students’ writing proficiency by fostering engagement, expanding vocabulary and grammar accuracy, and reducing writing anxiety through collaborative platforms. Students reported that ICT tools make writing more interesting, promote autonomy, and increase motivation. However, challenges such as limited internet connectivity, insufficient devices, and uneven digital literacy were also identified. Overall, the study concludes that ICT has great potential to support effective writing instruction in vocational schools, provided that infrastructural and pedagogical challenges are adequately addressed. Future research is recommended to explore hybrid ICT-based approaches and long-term impacts on academic writing performance.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini diberikan kepada perwakilan pengurus koperasi yang berada di wilayah kabupaten Indragiri Hulu untuk dapat mengembangkan kewirausahaan dan keunggulan dari koperasi tersebut. Manajemen Pengelolaan koperasi ini sangat penting untuk membimbing pengurus koperasi agar memahami koperasi dalam arti yang sebenarnya, dapat mengelola koperasi dengan benar. Hal tersebut merupakan beberapa manfaat dari pelatihan manajemen pengelolaan koperasi/KUD. Pada dasarnya, pengelolaan koperasi yang profesional adalah didasari oleh kemampuan pengurus koperasi untuk mengelola koperasinya. Berdasarkan pada undang-undang koperasi berlaku.

Abstract

Research aims: This study investigates the impact of women's leadership traits on employee innovation performance and the role of job autonomy as an intermediary.Design/Methodology/Approach: This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, focusing on micro-level analysis, with 323 employees from a Pekanbaru Public Health Center (Puskesmas) as the target population. One hundred seventy-five samples were obtained using Cluster Random Sampling, and the SEM statistical test and Smart PLS 4.0 software were utilized for quantitative analysis.Research findings: Women's characteristic leadership supports the creation and development of employee innovation performance. It will be better if the provision of work autonomy accompanies it.Theoretical Contribution/Originality: Developing a job autonomy theory covers procedural autonomy, soft skills, and decision-making. Scheduling autonomy includes time flexibility and technical tasks. Autonomy within job criteria is assessed through task priority, management, and performance.Practitioners/Policy Implications: The research highlights the importance of work autonomy in Pekanbaru Health Centers, highlighting the role of women's leadership characteristics and proving that women possess the same abilities as men, thereby supporting employee innovation performance.Research Limitations/Implications: The study suggests that future research could benefit from a longitudinal design to assess theory constructs over time, considering the limitations of cross-sectional designs and the limited sample size of Pekanbaru City Health Center employees, allowing for a more comprehensive analysis.

Abstract

Despite the extensive studies on figurative language in song lyrics, limited research has specifically explored emotional functions of figurative language in contemporary pop albums by Asian artists, particularly in NIKI’s Nicole album. This study aims to examine figurative language used in the lyrics of a few of NIKI’s songs from the Nicole album. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method focusing on documents through content analysis. The primary data of this study were a few chosen tracks from NIKI's Nicole album with an emphasis on the lyrics of the songs investigated. To examine the data, the songs were listened to several times, and the lyrics were carefully read to comprehend meanings of the metaphorical language. The data were gathered based on the categories of metaphorical language and categorized for further examination. Findings revealed that eight songs used 75 different types of figurative language which included metaphor as the most frequently used type. The five varieties of figurative language included personification, simile, hyperbole, irony, and metaphor. The use of figurative language created intense emotional expressions which included regret and despair and melancholy. The study demonstrates that song lyrics achieve their highest poetic and beautiful and emotional effects through the use of figurative language which also helps to express the song's main message.
