Abstract

The research will be published in a scientific journal of humanity taken from a thesis research. The purpose of this research is to know emotional coaching program for mother to use coping type problem focus responses in facing negative emotion of child intellectual disability at SLB BC Yatira. The sample in this study were 5 mothers who have children Intellectual Disability. This study is an experimental quasi by using one group pre-post test design. Measurements were made by Coping with Children's Emotion Scale (CCNES) from Fabes and colleagues (1990s), who described coping type of problem focus responsess. Reliability the measuring used expert. The results showed that there were different types of coping mothers in facing the negative emotional child intellectual disability in SLB BC Yatira before and after given emotional coaching program. The statistical test was done by using Wilxocon different test with p = 0,042 <0.05. The conclusion of research there are change of coping type used by mother in facing negative emotion child intellectual disability at SLB BC Yatira after given intervention in the form of emotional coaching program. Practical advice for mothers emotional coaching program can be used by mothers to cultivate a sense of empathy and foster closeness with children, so that mothers can be more positive in the face of negative emotions that children show Keywords: emotional coaching program, coping type of problem focus responsess, negative emotion in child with intellectual disability

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the achievement motivation of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Ngamprah. The subjects of this study consisted of 30 students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Ngamprah, while the sampling technique used purposive sampling technique, namely the technique of determining the sample with certain considerations, this study used quantitative descriptive research methods. The data collection technique is through interviews and observations, while the data collection tool used is the distribution of questionnaires using the grand theory indicators from Mc. Clelland. The results of the study obtained a picture of student achievement motivation, namely the need for achievement, which is 68.75% with a moderate categorization, where the need for power is 45.73% with a low categorization, and the need for affiliation (need for power). of affiliation) that is the need to obtain good social relations by 63.46% with moderate categorization. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that most of the students' achievement motivation is still classified as moderate, with an average of 64.33%.Keywords: Achievement Motivation, Students

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the description of students' self-efficacy towards online learning during the covid-19 pandemic. Students who have high self-efficacy will have a passion for learning and be able to survive when facing many school assignments. The phenomenon that occurs during learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, there are some students who experience low self-efficacy. This can be seen from the lack of enthusiasm in learning, easily stressed when many tasks and tend not to do school assignments that have been given. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with the type descriptive research. Data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation studies. The results obtained showed that three students of class XI had low self-efficacy towards learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.Keywords: Student, Self efficacy, Online learning, Covid-19

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of students who have a negative self-concept at Mts Al Bidayah, West Bandung Regency. The use of methods or methods in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. The technique in collecting data is using observation and interviews. As for measuring tools, researchers use AUM to reveal various problems students are facing. The result of the research is that there are 2 students who have a negative self-concept. The picture of negative self-concept in these students is as follows: the student has a feeling that other people's views of him are very irregular, the self-concept of the student is too stable and regular or can be said to be too rigid so that this type when he gets new information feels as a threat. and cause anxiety.Keywords:Self concept, Students

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the description of self-concept in class XI science students at SMAN 4 Cimahi. According to Burns, (1993) self-concept is the main part that exists in each individual because it is considered important as an attitude that tends to influence individual behavior. Quantitative approach with descriptive method is the method used in this research. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique, as well as a measuring instrument in the form of a questionnaire derived from the self-concept theory by Burns (1993) which amounted to 12 statements with a sample of 32 students with male and female gender. The results showed that the frequency of 28 students (73%) with positive self-concept, namely, 7 male students and 16 female students, while the frequency of 9 students (28%) with negative self-concept, namely, 2 male students and 7 students. woman.Keywords: self-concept, Student

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the description of students who have social media addiction during the Covid-19 period at SMKN 1 Pacet, Cianjur Regency. This research was taken based on phenomena that occur in schools. According to Young, internet/social media addiction is defined as a person's inability to control himself in using the internet, resulting in a few problems that interfere with the performance of his brain. Students who have a fairly high social media addiction during the covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection technique used in this research is to use interviews and observations that will produce data for this research. The sampling technique in this study used the purpouse sampling technique. The sample used was 10 students who had social media addiction during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study are from the sample taken there are 5 students who have a high addiction to social media. This can be seen from the attitude of students who feel they cannot control themselves in accessing social media in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, this is due to the factors that influence students so that excessive social media addiction occurs. These factors are influenced by both internal and external factors.Keywords:Addiction, Social Media, Covid-19.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to assist students in overcoming their academic stress using a group guidance module with the EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) technique. This research uses research and development (R&D) methods using the Borg and Gall model. The sample used in this study were 8 students of class VIII SMPN 1 Darangdan. The results showed that the product developed at SMPN 1 Darangdan, namely the development of group guidance module media with the EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) technique to overcome students' academic stress was very feasible to use, this is in line with the results of expert practitioner validation which is 90% "Very Eligible" and the validation of student responses to the product is 97% "Very Eligible" so that the group guidance module with the EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) technique is categorized as suitable to be used to help overcome students' academic stress. Keywords: Group, Guidance Module, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), academic stress

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the self-control description of class X IPS students at SMAN 1 Cisarua. Self control is an activity of controlling behavior, controlling behavior implies making considerations before deciding something to act. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling technique, the sample in this study amounted to 36 students. The measuring instrument used in this study is a questionnaire derived from self-control theory (Tangney et al., 2004) which consists of 18 items. Can be concluded that. the results of the study were 12 students (33.3%) in the high self-control category and 24 students (66.6%) in the low category. Keywords:Self Control, Students

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of students’ metacognitive thinking skills viewed from parenting style of the parents. The present study involves 210 undergraduate students of Siliwangi Institute of Education from seven study programs who were selected randomly. Metacognitive Thinking Skills Scale which is adapted from  Tuncer and Kaysi (2013)  were administered to the sample to rate students’ metacognitive thinking skills which covers three dimensions namely reflective thinking ability for problem solving, decision making ability, and  alternative Strategy  ability. The second instrument used in this study was the instrument of Parenting Style Questionnaire (PSQ) adapted from Robinson, C., Mandleco, B., Olsen, S. F., Hart, C. H. (1995) to  assess the students’ background of parenting style of their parents. The research finding showed that there were differences in metacognitive thinking skills between students with authoritative, authoritarian, and permissive parenting backgrounds, both on metacognitive thinking skills as a whole and in its aspects. The research result can be used as need assessment for the development of metacognition-based academic counseling and guidance programs.
