Abstract

This paper is to explain Arnold Pacey about the neutrality of technology which was written in 1983 in the book The Culture of Technology. The author is interested in connecting the neutrality of new media technology that is revolutionizing human life in the 21st century. As if the world is borderless and has no boundaries, the exchange of information is so fast but there are also many negative impacts. The hegemony of technology companies such as Silicon Valley, Shenzhen, Stockholm, Tokyo, and Bengaluru is a concern for technology neutrality as well as data security and privacy. The author concludes that technology must be balanced with user media literacy. The government must also have special regulations to maintain the security and convenience of its people's data.

Abstract

Tulisan ini ingin menjelaskan Determinisme teknologi dan eksesnya terhadap Manusia. Menusia yang menciptakan teknologi lewat penemuan dan penciptaan, ternyata justru berbanding terbalik. Teknologi yang diharapkan dapat menyelesaikan persoalan manusia, justru kita manusia terpengaruh oleh ketergantungan terhadap teknologi. Bayangkan saja, bila manusia tidak punya telpon genggam. Seperti apa manusia itu di era sekarang?. Namun demikian realitanya, bagimana ketergantungan bahkan sampai tingkat kecanduan manusia pada perangkat cerdas itu tidak bisa kita dilepaskan. Bagimana joget-joget viral di tiktok yang dilakukan oleh suku pedalaman di Afrika misalnya. Oleh karena itu, penulis akan membedah melalui tulisan ini bagimana berbagai pandangan ahli terkait determinisme teknologi dan dampaknya terhadap manusia

Abstract

This paper is to explain how the fusion of social movements and new media produces new social movements. The author himself raised how the #R4bia movement in Egypt and around the world as a form of protest and solidarity with the leader of the Egyptian state President Morsi (2012-2013) was overthrown by Abdul Fattah as-Sisi in a military coup in June 2013. The #R4bia symbol became a trending topic on various social platforms. media. technology is not historically a value-free entity. When a technology product interacts with the user community, the technology product undergoes an adjustment process, in which society gives meaning based on various values. There is a reciprocal relationship and a dialectical dynamic in the process of social construction that is built.

Abstract

Dunia penyiaran ke depan akan terus berubah seiring berkembangnya teknologi komunikasi dan informasi. Sifat-sifat teknologi telekomunikasi konvensional yang bersifat massif sekarang sudah mampu digabungkan dengan teknologi komputer yang bersifat interaktif. Sistem analog yang telah bertahan sekian puluh tahun akan segera tergantikan oleh sistem digital, dan implementasinya segera memunculkan fenomena baru: konvergensi. Sederhananya, konvergensi adalah bergabungnya media telekomunikasi tradisional dengan internet sekaligus. Bersamaan dengan berlangsungnya konvergensi dibidang telematika, akan terjadi peralihan sistem penyiaran analog ke sistem penyiaran digital. Televisi digital (DTV / Digital Television) menggunakan modulasi digital dan kompresi untuk menyebarluaskan video, audio, dan signal data ke pesawat televisi. Begitu juga halnya dengan Radio Streaming, yang dampak penyebarannya akan lebih luas lagi dan batasan frekuensinya pun tidak terbatas.

Every day, the amount of traffic on the internet grows. This is due to the fact that internet network backbone providers are becoming more promising as ISPs pursue backbones that are directly connected to countries whose network access goes directly to various countries. This paper investigates the rapid growth of digital developments in today's modern era.
