Abstract

Telecommunication network is a series of telecommunications equipment and accessories used in conducting telecommunications activities. To build an optical network, the most important thing is to plant poles which will be used as network connectors . Pole planting is done based on several factors. In considering some of these factors, of course the company must make the right decision so that the projects carried out are in accordance with the company's targets. Making decisions manually will result in inaccurate and precise results. To reduce inaccuracies in making a decision, we need a system that can help and support companies in making a decision. The MOORA method works by giving weight to each specific criterion. From the weighting evaluation, the results with the highest ranking will be taken to determine decision making. From the results of the trials carried out, the best alternative system and analysis results were obtained from 20 data, namely jl.tuamang with community demand criteria of 47 people, population density of 372 people, moderate location access and distance between pillars of 45 meters with a result of 0.1499.

Abstract

Cancer is a dangerous disease that is not contagious and is caused by abnormal cells or tissues that can grow rapidly. The rapid development of this network will cause several complications of this disease which develop rapidly as well. Adam Malik General Hospital is one of the government hospitals that has complete facilities to treat cancer patients. Because it is a regionally centralized general hospital, each patient has quite a long queue when conducting consultations and treatment, this can result in physical fatigue in patients because it takes too long in the queue. To overcome these problems, we need a system that can provide information and detect early cancer diagnoses. So that the doctor can use the results of the diagnosis issued by the system so that it can be analyzed further. This of course can speed up the time the patient is in the examination, so that the treatment process can run effectively and efficiently. An expert system is a system that can store information from an expert, such as a doctor, for example. One of the methods that can be used is the Bayes Theorem method, which is a theory of probable conditions that calculates the probability of an event that depends on evidence. From the results of the trials that have been carried out, the results show that the patient suffers from cancer, namely breast cancer with a value of 81.60%.

Abstract

Data security is something that is very important for companies or organizations, one of which is the South Binjai District Office. Almost all work in the South Binjai sub-district office uses a computer, especially in processing data stored in the form of data files on storage media without encoding. In today's digital era, many irresponsible parties find it easy to tap company data so that it can be easily accessed and there is also some software that can be easily used to crack passwords. One of the data that needs to be kept confidential is employee salary data. To overcome these problems, a security system is needed to secure text data. The cryptographic method is regarding encryption techniques in which plaintext is scrambled using an encryption key to become ciphertext which is applied in data security systems. The Diffie-Hellman algorithm is a key exchange algorithm, this algorithm is limited to the key exchange process, so it must require another algorithm for the encryption and decryption process such as the ElGamal algorithm. The use of these two algorithms can strengthen the level of data security. From the results of trials conducted, the sample data used containing the word "KARYAWAN" was successfully secured with both diffie-helman and ElGamal algorithms.

Abstract

Penyakit diabetes merupakan suatu kondisi kronis yang menurunkan kemampuan tubuh untuk mengubah makanan menjadi energi. Diabetes memiliki beberapa jenis type yaitu diabetes mellitus type I, diabetes mellitus type II, dan diabetes mellitus gestasional. Ketiga jenis diabetes ini memiliki gejala yang hampir serupa, hal ini menyebabkan masyarakat awam ataupun penderita sulit membedakan diabetes jenis apa yang sedang dialami sehingga sering kali terjadi kelalaian dan menyebabkan penyakit yang semakin parah. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sebuah sistem pakar yang dapat mendiagnosa penyakit diabetes.Dengan menggunakan metode certainty factor, dibuatlah sebuah sistem pakar yang dapat mendiagnosa penyakit diabetes dengan mempertimbangkan gejala-gejala yang dirasakan oleh pengguna. Adapun gejala-gejala tersebut diantarnya adalah : Banyak kencing dimalam hari, sering haus atau lapar, berat badan turun, luka sulit sembuh, impotensi dan sebagainya.Sistem pakar ini dapat membantu mediagnosa penyakit diabetes dan dapat memberikan solusi atas hasil diagnosanya, sehingga penyakit dapat ditangani sedini mungkin agar tidak menimbulkan penyakit yang semakin parah di kemudian hari.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a pipeline leakage detection system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) that provides real-time notifications and determines the location of leaks with high accuracy. Pipeline leakage is a serious issue, as it can lead to water wastage, environmental damage, and high maintenance costs. Therefore, a system that can detect leaks quickly and accurately is crucial for improving the efficiency of pipeline infrastructure management. The system developed in this study uses an ESP32 microcontroller, Waterflow sensor, and GPS module. The ESP32 microcontroller serves as the central processing unit that processes the data received from the Waterflow sensor and the GPS module. The Waterflow sensor detects changes in water flow that indicate a leak in the pipeline. When an abnormal reduction in flow is detected, the sensor sends a signal to the microcontroller. The GPS module then provides location coordinates, pinpointing the exact location of the leak, allowing the maintenance team to quickly address the issue. Additionally, the system is integrated with the Blynk application, which enables remote monitoring through a mobile device. The Blynk application provides a user interface that facilitates the monitoring of pipeline status and delivers notifications whenever a leak is detected. Testing results show that the IoT-based leakage detection system is capable of identifying leaks and sending real-time information with good accuracy. With this system, the process of identifying and addressing pipeline leaks can be done faster and more efficiently, ultimately reducing the losses caused by leakage. The system also offers a more effective solution for pipeline maintenance, improving the reliability of water distribution systems and reducing water resource wastage.

Abstract

Blepharitis or inflammation of the eyelids is one of the common eye diseases, characterized by inflammation of the edges of the eyelids that can cause discomfort, irritation, and even visual disturbances. This disease can be chronic with recurrent symptoms such as red eyes, itching, watering, and the appearance of crust on the eyelashes. Proper and prompt diagnosis is necessary so that medical treatment can be carried out effectively and further complications can be prevented. This study aims to design and build an expert system based on the Fuzzy Logic method in helping diagnose blepharitis. The fuzzy method was chosen because it is able to handle the uncertainty of symptom data that often arises in the medical diagnosis process. This system is developed through the identification of the common symptoms of blepharitis, then processed using the fuzzy membership function to determine the type of disease based on the degree of symptom onset. The output of the system is in the form of the results of the diagnosis of blepharitis along with initial treatment recommendations that can be used as a reference for users. The results of the system test show that the application of fuzzy logic is able to provide diagnosis results that are quite accurate, fast, and easy to understand both medical personnel and the general public. This system is expected to help increase public awareness about the importance of early detection of blepharitis, as well as being a tool in the initial medical decision-making process. However, the limitations of this study lie in the limited amount of data and coverage of the type of blepharitis, so further development is needed, both in expanding the knowledge base, increasing the variety of symptoms, and improving system interaction with users.

Abstract

The rapid growth of information technology requires a reliable data security system, especially for sensitive image files. The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a symmetric algorithm that is fast and efficient; however, its main weakness lies in the vulnerability of key distribution. To address this issue, this research integrates the Lucas (LUC) algorithm to secure AES keys. LUC was chosen as it is an asymmetric algorithm utilizing public and private key pairs, ensuring the confidentiality of AES encryption keys. The purpose of this study is to design and implement an image file security system by integrating AES and LUC using Python programming language with key storage in text format. The encryption process was applied to JPG and PNG files with a maximum size of 3 MB, and the encrypted as well as decrypted results were tested through several experiments. The results indicate that the system successfully encrypted and decrypted image files while maintaining AES key confidentiality through LUC protection. The integration of these two algorithms enhances data security and can serve as a reference for the development of secure digital file systems in the future.

Abstract

The growing volume of household organic waste poses a serious challenge to environmental sustainability. Through this community service program, STMIK Kaputama offers an educational and practical solution by involving first-year students in Eco Enzyme production training. Eco Enzyme, a fermented product derived from organic kitchen waste, has been proven to provide various benefits such as an eco-friendly cleaner, liquid fertilizer, and natural deodorizer, serving as an effective alternative to harmful chemical-based products. During the student orientation program (PKKMB), 300 students participated in a series of activities, including environmental education, fermentation practice, and harvesting of Eco Enzyme. The results demonstrated improvements in students’ knowledge and skills, with the expectation of long-term behavioral changes in managing waste at its source. The program successfully produced more than 300 liters of Eco Enzyme and significantly reduced organic waste disposal to landfills. More importantly, it cultivated environmentally conscious student leaders. Engaging first-year students in this real-world initiative serves as a strategic effort to instill sustainability values and foster a culture of environmental responsibility both within the campus and the broader community.
