Abstract

This research is conducted to describe student’s Self Regulated Learning in mathematics subject. Methods in this research is qualitative approach with descriptive method. Subjects in this research is students in Junior High School in Kabupaten Karawang with total subject is 25 students. Techniques that use in this research to collect the data is distribute the questionnaires of Self Regulated Learning that consist of 30 question with 8 indicator. Data analysis techniques used by the percentage formula of student answers and described using criteria interpretation percentage of answers. The result of this research is shows that average of all the Self Regulated Learning in studying is 56,85% that obtains from 25 students who filled out the questionnaires. Based on those percentage,it shows that mostly the students are capable to Self Regulated Learning, but remember the importance of Self Regulated Learning that must be always imporoved.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematical representation ability of eighth grade junior high school students in solving math problems on the material of spatial structure. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were class XIII students at SMP Islam Telukjambe for the academic year 2020/2021 as many as 3 students. The focus of this research is the ability of visual representation, symbolic representation, and verbal representation. The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative where tests and interviews are data collection techniques used. The conclusion of this study is that the ability of mathematical representation is very important to be mastered by students in determining the right strategy to be able to solve a mathematical problem. Mathematical problems in everyday life, visual, verbal and symbolic representation skills are used, because everyday life problems need to be represented in the form of symbols or images in order to make it easier to solve problems and be faced.

Abstract

WORKSHOP OF STUDENT WORKSHEET COMPILATION FOR MATHEMATICS TEACHERS OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN TELUKJAMBE, KARAWANG. The majority of math teachers use Student Worksheet (LKS) traded by the publisher’s distributor. The contents of LKS are less interesting and innovative. LKS does not help the participants to collect the material and learn their interest in mathematics learning. None or steps in the LKS which allows participants to discuss the concepts they are studying. According to the theory of constructivism a learner in learning must be able to mengkontruksi knowledge to understand a material. On that basis, we prepare training on the preparation of LKS. Activities undertaken through socialization with methods that in this devotion program is a method of lectures and exercises supported by discussion and question and answer. Output target after the implementation of this Program is the increase of the ability of Junior High School teachers who teach in class VII in preparing the LKS as well as the product of LKS.

Abstract

PISA TYPE MATH PROBLEM TRAINING FOR 15-YEAR-OLD VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. Mathematics is a universal science that underlies the development of modern technology and has an important role in various disciplines and the development of human thinking. PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) is an international study in the context of assessing learning outcomes, one of which aims to test the mathematical literacy of students aged 15 Mathematical literacy is needed not only for mastery of my material. but also requires the use of reasoning, concepts. Mathematical facts and tools in solving everyday problems Given the importance of mathematical literacy skills, this training is a form of community service, especially for students aged 15 years. The method used is the approach method and the method of implementation. The output target of this activity is to provide mastery skills of 15 year old vocational school students of SMK in order to increase their knowledge and skills in Mathematics. The result of this training is the addition of new knowledge for students in math problems. close to their lives. Most students understand the material on the training being carried out, they even look enthusiastic because according to them the tutor who delivers the material is very good at the material presented.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah istilah atau simbol matematika yang digunakan olehpetani di Kabupaten Karawang. Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mereka telah menggunakankonsep matematika yaitu diantaranya bangun datar. Matematika yang lahir dari budayadinamakan etnomatematika. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptifeksploratif dengan subjek penelitiannya adalah petani di salah satu desa di KabupatenKarawang. Fenomena yang dijelaskan dalam penelitian ini adalah etnomatematika dalamkehidupan petani di Kabupaten Karawang. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa petani diKarawang menggunakan matematika dalam kegiatan sehari-hari untuk menentukan luassawah, menghitung luas sawah, mengukur panjang dan lebar sawah dan menentukan jarakantara benih padi. Hal ini menggambarkan bahwa memiliki kemampuan etnomatematikayang baik dan perlu disosialisasikan, digunakan dan dipelihara secara khusus oleh pendidikformal.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil PISA yang berarti rendahnya problem solving siswa terutama pada space and shape content. Terdapat beberapa faktor penyebab salah satunya siswa tidak cukup kompeten dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal bertipe PISA. Sehingga penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mendeskripsikan tahapan problem solving siswa jika diberikan soal bertipe PISA terutama pada space and shape content disalah satu Lembaga Kursus Matematika Jakarta Timur. Waktu penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April. Jenis penelitian yang diambil yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa adopsi 1 soal PISA dengan space and shape content. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 20 siswa dengan kriteria siswa yang berumur 15 tahun yang masing-masing memiliki kemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Data dianalisis dengan cara memberikan skor pada setiap jawaban subjek, lalu skor tersebut dirubah kedalam nilai persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa dengan kemampuan kategori tinggi sudah mencapai tahapan problem solving sebesar 100%, siswa dengan kemampuan kategori sedang mencapai tahapan problem solving sebesar 50% dan siswa dengan kemampuan kategori rendah mencapai tahapan problem solving sebesar 25%. Berdasarkan data tersebut siswa dengan kemampuan kategori sedang dan kategori rendah belum maksimal dalam memenuhi tahapan problem solving.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan strategi Mathematical Habits of Mind lebih tinggi dari pada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran secara konvensional ditinjau dari pengetahuan awal matematis (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain perbandingan kelompok statis. Instrumen-instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes Pemahaman awal matematis (PAM) dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan ANOVA dua jalur dan uji t. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah untuk kategori pengetahuan awal matematika siswa atas dengan nilai signifikansi 0,010 dan kategori pengetahuan awal matematika siswa tengah dengan nilai signifikansi 0,046 peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan strategi MHM secara signifikan terdapat perbedaan dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional. Sedangkan untuk kategori pengetahuan awal matematika siswa bawah dengan nilai signifikansi 0,936 peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan strategi MHM secara signifikan tidak terdapat perbedaan dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional.Secara garis besar hasil dari penelitian ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan dengan strategi mathematical habits of mind (MHM) lebih tinggi dari pada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran secara konvensional baik ditinjau dari pengetahuan awal matematis dan pembelajaran menggunakan strategi MHM memberikan kontribusi yang lebih besar terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional.Kata Kunci:kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, pengetahuan awal maematis

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical communication skills of high school students in class XI on linear program material. The research method used is descriptive research. The subjects in this study consisted of 5 students of class XI one of the public high schools in Karawang Regency which were determined using purposive sampling technique. The research data collection technique was obtained from a test instrument in the form of 3 validated description questions which contained 3 indicators of mathematical communication ability. The results of this study indicate that the mathematical communication ability of class XI high school students in Karawang Regency in understanding linear programming material is still very low. This can be seen from the average percentage of the three questions of mathematical communication skills is 48.3℅. In indicator 1, students have not been able to express mathematical ideas through writing, demonstrate and visually describe them. For indicator questions 2 students are able to understand, interpret, and evaluate mathematical ideas both in writing and in other visual forms, but there are still some errors. Meanwhile, on indicator questions 3 students have not been able to use terms, notations, mathematical symbols and their structures to present ideas, describe relationships with various situation models.

Abstract

This research is to describe the mathematical understanding ability of high school students on exponential material based on the achievement of each indicator of mathematical understanding. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were high school students Class X for the academic year 2021/2022 in the Karawang area which consisted of 3 students. The research sample was obtained through a purposive sampling technique, namely taking samples with certain considerations. The data collection technique used a test instrument which consisted of 3 description questions. Data were analyzed descriptively. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis with data reduction steps, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that the ability of students to solve exponential problems based on indicators of understanding is quite good. The results showed that on average students were able to understand the problem, students were able to understand the concept of the exponential equation, and students were able to adjust the exponential equation formula to the problem solving. However, there are errors where students have not been able to determine the set of solutions correctly.

Abstract

Peneliti memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pencapaian kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa SMP saat menyelesaikan soal kemampuan literasi numerasi pada materi pola bilangan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 3 siswa kelas VIII disalah satu SMP yang ada di Kabupaten Bekasi yang masing-masing memiliki kemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Data dikumpulkan melalui satu soal tes yang mewakili semua indikator kemampuan literasi numerasi. Data dianalisis dengan cara memberikan skor pada setiap jawaban subjek, lalu skor tersebut dirubah kedalam nilai persentase. Hasil tes tersebut dianalisis berdasarkan indikator kemampuan literasi numerasi yaitu: a) Mampu menggunakan berbagai macam angka atau simbol yang terkait dengan matematika dasar dalam menyelesaian masalah kehidupan sehari-hari; b) Mampu menganalisis informasi yang ditampilkan dalam berbagai bentuk (grafik, tabel, bagan, diagram, dan lain sebagainya); c) Menafsirkan hasil analisis untuk memprediksi dan mengambil keputusan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa dengan kemampuan literasi numerasi tinggi (ST) memiliki ketercapaian literasi numerasi sebesar 100%, siswa dengan kemampuan literasi numerasi sedang (SS) memiliki ketercapaian sebesar 67%, dan siswa dengan kemampuan literasi numerasi rendah (SR) memiliki ketercapaian sebesar 17%. Berdasarkan data tersebut siswa dengan kemampuan literasi numerasi sedang (SS) dan siswa dengan kemampuan literasi numerasi rendah (SR) belum menggunakan kemampuan literasi numerasi secara maksimal
