Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the difference between be going to and be about to using data from BYU-BNC corpus. In future tense, there are several kinds of modals. Among them are will, be going to and be about to. In general, most people use will and be gpoing to. However, they do not yet know that there is one kind of modal in the future tense that is be about to. In fact, the use of be going to and be about to is different. In this research, I use online dictionaries and corpus data. In this study, I used qualitative description and corpus data. An online dictionary is selected because the results in can be the recent results. Meanwhile, the selection of corpus as data collection because the corpus can provide an example of the data we seek in accordance with everyday life. From the first 100 lines in the corpus in each phrase will be selected with the same verb. Then, the data is translated to get the meaning of each sentence and determine the function of both phrases. The results of this study indicate that the use of be going to and be about to can be used to express about what will happen in the future. However, there are some functional differences between the two phrases. Be going to can be used to declare someone’s intention to do something. It can also be used to declare or expect what will happen in the future. Meanwhile, be about to is used to express about what is closed to happen. In the form of a negative sentence, not to be about to can be used to declare that we have no intention or unwillingness to do anything.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how intransitive verbs in Sundanese and English have their own characteristics. The technique used in this research is contrastive. In other words, this research technique focuses on the differences and equations that exist in both languages. This method has also been used by several researchers and considered as research methods that are relevant enough to find differences and similarities to the object to be studied.In this study, I used the qualitative description method. This method is used to experience real-world experience, and also to know people's point of view in a certain phenomenon. It is also used to get the correct, systematic and well-structured explanation. This research is conducted referring to Sundanese language as one of indigenous language in Indonesia. Then, my Sundanese language contrasts by referring to English as a foreign language by looking at some of the famous dictionaries. To collect the data, I made observations and analyzes on each verb. This data is analyzed by looking at some of the dictionaries that I use as the main reference.The results of this study indicate that when I first did this there were many difficulties in collecting data. Then, from the results of my research over the course of a few weeks, I have collected 8 commonly used verbs and taken into the research section.From what I have done, it has been seen that this study shows the differences in sentence structure of both languages. However, there are similarities found that in the context of the meanings of each verb does not have any change in the two languages.

Abstract

This research aimed to know what external factors improved students’ vocabulary and how external factor could give influence students in improving their vocabulary at SMA Muhammadiyah Bandar Lampung. This research was qualitative method which used triangulation method – observation, questionnaire, and interview. The researcher also gave activity to make a free writing. Students could tell story about their life. The result of students’ writing was used to prove the result of observation, questionnaire, and interview. The result showed that social factor was chosen by most students. Social factor was also one of external factors that had validity and reliability. It meant that social factor could give influence to students’ vocabulary. On the other hand, the result of interview also showed the students’ answer. There were different opinions between students and other students. The differences showed good relation between their answers and their score in writing activity. Based on the result, the researcher could conclude that the role of friends and teacher as external factor could influence students’ vocabulary.

Abstract

Provinsi lampung berada pada daftar provinsi yang menjadi lumbung padi nasional, bahkan pada tahun 2020 lampung menjadi provinsi dengan persentase kenaikan produksi padi tertinggi di antara provinsi lumbung pangan nasional lainnya namun permasalahan yang mendasar terjadi di Provinsi Lampung adalah pertanian tanaman pangan memiliki hamparan cenderung kecil, dimiliki oleh perseorangan dan memiliki tingkat keseragaman hasil yang rendah dikarenakan proses dan sarana produksi yang digunakan juga bervariasi, padahal sebagai lumbung padi nasional provinsi Lampung bisa menjadi lokomotif pertanian dengan menghasilkan produk yang lebih berkualitas dan kompetitif. Dalam pertanian skala kecil, petani mengalami kerugian seperti posisi tawar lemah, kebanyakan aktivitas dihabiskan di on-farm dan lambatnya peningkatan kesejahteraan petani. Pada tahun 2019 Kementerian Pertanian membuat sebuah program yang berfokus untuk mendorong pengelolaan usaha pertanian secara kolektif (korporasi) untuk pertanian lebih maju dan kompetitif. Korporasi Pertanian adalah pengembangan sektor pertanian berbasis korporasi yang dikelola dengan manejemen profesional. Penempatan kedudukan korporasi petani sebagai penggerak ekonomi kawasan merupakan kunci utama keberhasilan dalam mewujudkan pertanian Indonesia yang maju, mandiri, dan modern. Transformasi pertanian dari semula berazas ekonomi konvensional menjadi berbasis ekonomi modern berperan penting dalam mendesain korporasi petani.

Abstract

Pegawai merupakan aset berharga bagi sebuah organisasi, kinerja pegawai yang baik akan berdampak baik pula terhadap kinerja organisasi. Salah satu optimalnya kinerja pegawai yakni ditandai dengan adanya perilaku Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Gap hasil penelitian Kepemimpinan, Komitmen Organisasi, Kepuasan Kerja dan Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) dan permasalahan yang ada pada Kantor Pertanahan Kabupaten Lampung Timur inilah menjadi dasar penulis untuk melakukan penelitian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui dan menguji secara empiris pengaruh Kepemimpinan, Komitmen organisasi dan Kepuasan kerja terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) pada Kantor Pertanahan Kabupaten Lampung Timur, baik secara parsial maupun secara simultan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 32 orang, teknik pengambilan datanya menggunakan kuesioner, dokumentasi dan wawancara, sedangkan alat analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian Kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan Terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) pegawai Kantor Pertanahan Kabupaten Lampung Timur, Komitmen organisasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) pada Kantor Pertanahan Kabupaten Lampung Timur, Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) pada Kantor Pertanahan Kabupaten Lampung Timur, Kepemimpinan, Komitmen organisasi dan Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) pada Kantor Pertanahan Kabupaten Lampung Timur, Besarnya pengaruh Kepemimpinan, Komitmen organisasi dan Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) pada Kantor Pertanahan Kabupaten Lampung Timur adalah 61,5%

Abstract

The background of this research is that the implementation of the MBKM policy has not been fully implemented, obstacles such as human resources and supporting facilities are not yet ready. So, it is necessary to know what are the factors that influence the successful implementation of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Program, especially at the Universitas Bandar Lampung. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods using In-Depth Interviews. The results obtained are the factors that influence the success of the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Program, namely the commitment and vision of the university leadership towards the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Program, the existence of a special unit that is responsible for the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Program, the support and commitment of partners, the same positive mindset from the entire academic community regarding the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka, the role of active and optimal supervisors, the role of active, initiative and creative students, the role of other academics regarding the administration of activities, the existence of standard operating procedures references, curriculum conformity planning, ect.

Abstract

MBKM program has been implemented by several universities, including at the Universitas Bandar Lampung. Universities need to determine policies that serve as guidelines for the study programs they cover, including support for cross-study learning and allocation of funds, as well as ensuring that the quality of graduates will not decrease by running this program. For this reason, in its implementation, it is necessary to form an institutional model for the implementation of Merdeka Learning Program - Merdeka Campus to see who has a role and how the relationship between these parties plays a role. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. In collecting the data, it applies literature studies and In-Depth Interviews with resource persons who are experts related to the Merdeka Learning Program - Merdeka Campus. The results in this study found that in the implementation of the Merdeka Learning Program - Merdeka Campus at the Universitas Bandar Lampung, there were internal and external stakeholders involved. Each stakeholder has its respective roles and relationships, both coordination and command relationships, both between internal stakeholders and between internal and external stakeholders. Everything is described in the institutional model of the Merdeka Learning Program - Merdeka Campus.

Abstract

Makanan dalam kegiatan wisata pada awalnya hanya dianggap sebagai salah satu pelengkap saja. Gambaran dari budaya dan identitas suatu daerah juga dapat dilihat dari makanan khas yang terdapat pada suatu daerah tersebut, seiring dengan berjalannya waktu kini wisata kuliner menjadi bagian dari kegiatan wisata yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Permasalahan yang terjadi dalam penelitian ini yaitu apakah brand image dan product quality mempunyai pengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian pada destinasi wisata belanja  oleh-oleh di Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menguji pengaruh brand image dan product quality terhadap keputusan pembelian pada destinasi wisata belanja oleh-oleh di Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap Toko Manisan Yen Yen, Toko Aneka sari Rasa dan Toko Askha Jaya di Bandar Lampung. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini yaitu kontribusi variabel brand image dan product quality berperan dalam mempengaruhi Keputusan Pembelian pada destinasi wisata belanja oleh-oleh di Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

Pronunciation is one of the most important parts of speaking. The wrong pronunciation can lead to the wrong meaning of the word. Therefore, there should be media to help students understand pronunciation more. There are a lot of media can be used, one of them is YouGlish. The objective of the research is to explore students’ perceptions of the implementation of YouGlish in learning English Pronunciation at English Department Universitas Bandar Lampung. YouGlish is a YouTube-based website launched to improve English pronunciation that helps users to find out how to pronounce a word or phrase correctly and appropriately. In this research, the researchers used the descriptive qualitative method. This study was conducted for first semester English students at Universitas Bandar Lampung. This study's instruments were a questionnaire and an interview. The finding shows that students have positive perceptions of the implementation of YouGlish. They perceived that there were several benefits from the use of YouGlish. The results of this research showed students' perception of the implementation of YouGlish in learning English Pronunciation. The questionnaire results also showed mostly positive and negative feedback. The combination of those two instruments is the way to know what the students’ perceptions of the implementation of YouGlish in learning pronunciation. In conclusion, YouGlish can make students interested in studying Pronunciation and stimulate students to learn as it has features which will increase the enthusiasm for learning.

Abstract

The Independent Learning Program – Independent Campus (MBKM) was launched by the Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Anwar Makarim in 2020 in order to prepare university graduates who are tough in facing change. The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Bandar Lampung has implemented the MBKM Program, various kinds of problems in its implementation have certainly been experienced and various efforts have also been made so that this program can run well. The study uses the CIPP jenis (context, input, process and product), research data obtained by using a survey with student respondents who have or are currently participating in the program and students who have not participated in the program totaling 441 respondents. This study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the implementation of MBKM at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Bandar Lampung, seen from the perception of students as the main beneficiaries of the program. The results show that the average context dimension is considered very effective, especially from the statement that MBKM activities are very important to face the real world of work, while from the average input dimension it is considered very effective, especially the statement that the study program has facilitated the choice of MBKM activities that can be followed. by students and credit recognition for MBKM activities that are followed is appropriate. So it can be concluded that the MBKM program is appropriate to be implemented in universities to prepare college graduates who are ready to face the world of work, and universities have also facilitated as well as possible.
