Abstract

This research discusses the Covid-19 virus as an example of a case of suffering from the problematics of Theodicy, because Covid-19 has claimed lives, suffered economically, socially and academically, so that it appears that God is not all-just, not all-loving and not all-merciful. This research is qualitative research using descriptive analysis methods and comparative methods. This type of research is a literature review (Library Research) which uses a philosophical approach, and uses theodicy theory in the Covid-19 case. Primary data sources in this research include the works of Ibn Arabi, namely "al-Futuhat al-Makkiyah". Meanwhile, in Al-Ghazali's work, namely "Ihya Ulumuddin" part "Al-Mahabbah wa asy-Syauq wa al-Uns wa ar-Ridha". The results of this research are that Ibn Arabi and Al-Ghazali both answered that the Covid-19 suffering incident that was revealed by God to humans was not a form of wrath or punishment from God so that He is claimed to be God who is not Most Just, Not Most Merciful, and not all-loving, but as a manifestation of God, all-good, all-just, full of love and affection for His servants. However, the two have differences, namely in their path (the focal point of thought), Ibn Arabi's thinking which has a Sufistic pattern, namely on the basis of "Divine Love" with the focal point of adhering to the unity of existence (Wahdat al-Wujud). Meanwhile, in Al-Ghazali's thought, the style of his discussion is more Sufi in nature, namely on the basis of "Divine Love" with a focus on knowledge of God.

Abstract

The government issued a maximum competency assessment policy, abbreviated to (AKM), as a replacement for the National Examination which was deemed to have failed in improving the quality of education. AKM is a fundamental assessment for students in the development of abilities which is an evaluation of the extent to which education has been successful. So the government provides policies so that they can be implemented in educational institutions to encourage teachers and school principals to improve the quality of learning and evaluation. Maximum National Assessment (AKM) Next known as Computer-Based National Assessment (ANBK) which is carried out at the middle school level, namely in class 5 for SD/MI, class 8 for SMP/MTS, and class 11 for SMA/MA/SMK. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through analysis by studying manuscripts and documentationliberia riserct through data analysis. A summary of the research results shows that the government has succeeded in implementing the maximum competency assessment (AKM), known as ANBK, to all educational institutions throughout Indonesia. Even though there are still many shortcomings in applying it to educational institutions, this policy has been implemented. The conclusion of the national assessment is a new breakthrough in policy to improve the quality of education through maximum competency assessment (AKM). SD IT Qordova has implemented ANBK well and smoothly even though there are still many shortcomings and needs improvement, one of which is a lack of resources and laboratory space as a place to carry out ANBK.

Abstract

This study fundamentally aims to comprehend the construction of religious life in the community, dissect the process of socialization or the introduction of religion within the community, and analyze the internalization of religious life from the perspective of Peter L. Berger. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-holistic method. Data are gathered through documentation and the study of texts authored by Hasan Mustapa. The data analysis method employed is literary analysis, particularly focusing on Hasan Mustapa’s work, “Sasaka Dika Islaman,” using procedures that encompass thematic identification, inclusion and exclusion criteria, structuralization, interpretation, and integration. The findings of this study reveal that: (1) The construction of religious life in the Sundanese community, as depicted in “Sasaka Dika Islaman,” reflects a reflective model of the development of individual and communal life; (2) The process of socializing religious teachings and values produces two patterns of religious behavior in individuals within the community, namely critical and apathetic religious behaviors, each with its own consequences; (3) The process of internalizing religious life gives rise to a duplicative consciousness, encompassing a social self and a non-social self, resulting in alienation. This study contributes to the academic knowledge and discourse in the fields of Religious Studies and Sociology of Religion. The analysis of Peter L. Berger’s social construct offers a fresh perspective in comprehending the religious behaviors of individuals and communities, particularly within the Sundanese community as elucidated in Hasan Mustapa’s work, “Sasaka Dika Islaman.”

Abstract

The phenomenon of religious communication through online media, such as YouTube, has introduced new dimensions to religiosity, categorized as religion online and online religion. Religion online uses digital platforms as tools for disseminating religious messages and storing information, such as digital manuscripts and sermons, accessible anytime. In contrast, online religion creates a space for active religious communication and practices, especially prominent during the COVID-19 pandemic when religious activities shifted online. This study focuses on the online religion aspect by examining the spiritual experiences expressed by Sundanese cultural figure Kang Yat R through the Si Rawing storytelling series on YouTube. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews with Kang Yat R and analysis of YouTube content. The results reveal that Si Rawing reflects Kang Yat R’s religious experiences in three dimensions: thought (doctrine), action (ritual), and community (group), in alignment with Joachim Wach's framework. This study underscores the role of online platforms in preserving and transmitting religious and cultural heritage to younger generations.

Abstract

The discourse on interfaith marriage is still a topic that is always discussed by Islamic thinkers today, along with the large number of Muslims in Indonesia who practice it. This paper will examine the tafsir of interfaith marriages from the perspective of Indonesian scholars of tafsir, namely Hamka, Quraish Shihab, and Musdah Mulia, including the socio-political driving factors of these scholars conclude the tafsir of interfaith marriages. This research is qualitative research using library data sources. The study results indicate differences in tafsir by these three commentators, where Hamka and Quraish Shihab generally conclude that interfaith marriages are prohibited. However, both of them also allow men to marry Ahli Kitab (Jews and Christians) on the grounds of an emergency or for the sake of Islamic da'wah. On the other hand, Musdah Mulia allowed interfaith marriages because there were no clear arguments for interfaith marriages. Musdah Mulia also reasoned that there is no concrete evidence that interfaith marriage is the cause of the breakdown of a family, where interfaith marriages also help keep family life in harmony. This difference in conclusions was driven by socio-political factors when the three ulama worked, especially in adjusting to the context of national political stability.
