Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Nutritional needs are a very important requirement for a baby's growth and development. Most of the nutrients needed for babies aged 0-6 months are determined by the quantity and quality of mother's milk because exclusive breastfeeding has a balanced composition and is ideal for babies. The problem of malnutrition is considered by the community as a matter of course so often babies who experience malnutrition are not taken to the community health center or hospital. from the results of a preliminary study in Menganti Village, Glagah Subdistrict, Lamongan Regency, out of 10 babies aged 0-6 months, 10% of infants with poor nutritional status were found. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the nutritional status of infants aged 0-6 months. Methods: The design of this study is a correlation study with a cross sectional approach, with a mother population of 26 respondents, a sample of 25 respondents. Sampling using simple random sampling technique, data taken using questionnaire sheets and observation sheets, then analyzed by spearman test with a significance level of 5 0.05. Results: The results showed that (40%) mothers gave exclusive breastfeeding and (72%) babies had good nutritional status. The statistical test results obtained rs = 0.345 and p = 0.092, where p> 0.05..  Conclusion: The conclusion in this study is that there is no relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and infant nutritional status. The implications of this study require the role of health workers to provide health education to mothers about breastfeeding that is appropriate for infants

Abstract

Introduction : Continuous urinary incontinence is the continued and uncontrolled passing of urine without distension and a feeling of fullness in the bladder due to neurological dysfunction. This condition is often found in the elderly post-ischemic stroke. The study aimed to describe nursing care of continuous urinary incontinence in the elderly post-ischemic stroke in Lamongan. Methods : This study used a case study approach (case report) on a participant through the nursing process approach. The sample in this study is one patient, an elderly post-ischemic stroke. This research was conducted in 2021 in Lamongan with three visits to patients' homes for seven days. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and physical examination. This research instrument uses the gerontic nursing care format and sandvik severity index. Results : Continuous urinary incontinence nursing care with the main intervention for urinary incontinence treatment (I.04163) and the supporting intervention is pelvic muscle exercises (I.07215) can be applied to elderly post-ischemic stroke according to the expected outcomes. The continuous urinary incontinence has a partially resolved on the third home visit. The client can hold urine several times when the bladder feels full, reduced the frequency of night urination, and rarely wakes up because of wet diapers. Sandvik Severity Index shows a value of 4 (moderate incontinence). Conclusions: Improving nursing care need for collaboration between patients, families, and health workers in performing pelvic muscle exercises independently, continuously, and regularly to increase the strength of the detrusor-sphincter muscles and showed improvement in urinary continence.

Abstract

Children’s physical, mental, social, and emotional growth and development are influenced by nutrition, health, and education. This factor can be identified by conducting early screening to see growth and development deviations in children. So interventions can be carried out as early as possible as an initial corrective action or deviations do not become more severe, and referrals are made as early as possible according to indications. Data on the coverage of health services for children under five in Lamongan Regency was 1,738 (92.3%) of 1,882 toddlers in 2019, while data in Pucuk Subdistrict contained 36 under-fives with less nutrition than 2,591 under-fives who were weighed aged 0-59 months (1.4%), 29 short toddlers out of 2,588. toddlers 0-59 months height measured (1.1%), and 68 underweight toddlers (2.6%). The target of the activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of cadres in carrying out the Stimulation of Early Detection and Intervention of Growth and Development (SDIDTK). The method is carried out in three stages, the socialization stage in the form of health education and training of cadres, the work stage in the form of mentoring during Integrated Healthcare Center (Posyandu), and the evaluation and recommendation stage. Cadres are very enthusiastic in following the material and are active during mentoring. The increase in knowledge was seen in the pre-test and post-test scores.
