Abstract

Natural disasters (floods) can cause psychological impacts and potential public health hazards. Children carrying out daily activities will be disturbed, including learning, fear, and remembering the flood under normal conditions. Children need mental health and psychosocial support, which are essential in creating and supporting states that allow optimal growth and welfare of children in disaster situations. Deket Sub-district, one of the sub-districts in Lamongan Regency, is a frequent flood. Sidomulyo Village has the highest flood height, with water levels between 15 to 37 centimeters in 2022. SDN Sidomulyo 1 is one of the schools affected by this annual flood. This activity aims to increase elementary school teachers' knowledge and skills in providing Psychosocial Structured Activities (PSSA) through empowering elementary school teachers. The method used is the first stage: training elementary school teachers, the second stage: assisting elementary school teachers in carrying out PSSA for elementary school students, and the third stage: is evaluation and follow-up plans. Abstract

Hypertension is a chronic disease that often occurs in the world. Individual involvement in self-care is very important, in controlling blood pressure. The inability to carry out treatment will increase the risk and complications. The aim study is to explore the experiences and behavior of self-management and self-care of hypertension patients. The study is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The technique for taking participants was a purposive sampling of ten hypertensive patients. Data was collected using semi-structured interviews and then analyzed thematically based on the methodological framework of constructivist basic theory. Participant statements describing patient experiences in self-care include six themes, namely the cause of recurrences, emotional response, social support, self-care behavior, barriers to self-care, access to health facilities. The support factors of social support from family, health workers, and affordability of health services greatly influence self-care. An adequate support system, especially from nurses, is needed by patients because it will increase active participation so that patients will try to improve their care and skills in self-care.

Abstract

Introduction: Anemia experienced by pregnant women will hurt the baby, namely the risk of premature birth, low birth weight, and an increased risk of perinatal death. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and the behavior of pregnant women in efforts to prevent anemia. Methods: This study used analytical research with a cross-sectional approach, the population in this study was all pregnant women in Madiun. This study used purposive sampling techniques. The sample used in this study was 112 respondents. To find out the relationship between variables in this study, the Chi-Square statistical test was used with the result that if the p-value is 0.05, it means that there is a significant relationship between the two variables. Results: The results of the study using the Chi-Square correlation test showed that the Fischer Exact Test value was 0.001. Because the Chi-Square test value is 0.001 < 0.005, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between family support and the behavior of pregnant women in efforts to prevent anemia. Conclusions: Families are expected to always provide motivation, help, and accompany pregnant women so that pregnant women feel safe, comfortable, and calm.

Abstract

Establishing the correct nursing diagnosis in patients with COVID-19 is crucial for determining the most effective nursing care to help patients recover optimally. The research aims to describe and analyze nursing diagnoses in COVID-19 patients treated in isolation rooms and Intensive Care Units (ICUs). This research used secondary data analysis from 296 hospital medical records of COVID-19 patients at dr. Soegiri Lamongan Hospital from February to August 2021. The researchers employed a simple random sampling technique to collect the data and analyzed it using descriptive statistics. The research revealed that the common symptoms and nursing diagnoses among hospitalized COVID-19 patients included hyperthermia, coughing, shortness of breath, decreased consciousness, ineffective airway clearance, impaired gas exchange, self-care deficit, impaired spontaneous ventilation, spontaneous circulatory disorders, knowledge deficit, and shock risk. The results of this study provide information about variations in nursing diagnoses among COVID-19 patients. Thus, nurses can use this primary data to develop comprehensive standards of nursing care for COVID-19 patients.

Abstract

Introduction: The Indonesian National Nurses Association has developed nursing language standards adapted to cultural differences and uniqueness of Indonesian nursing services, namely the Indonesian Nursing Diagnostic Standards. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever cases in Indonesia have experienced a shortening cycle, which has led to a rise in the incidence rate (IR) and a fall in the case facility rate (CFR). This study was to learn how to describe the application of the Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards (SDKI) in documenting nursing diagnoses in children with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). Methods: Retrospective descriptive research design with secondary data.  The secondary data used in the study, namely sourced from medical records from February 1, 2021 - March 31, 2022. The number of samples is 30 medical records using the total sampling technique. Data collection using observation sheet. Data analysis uses univariate analysis. Results: Most of the priority nursing diagnosis labels in DHF pediatric patients are by the Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards, namely hyperthermia. However, all the writing of actual nursing diagnoses does not comply with the Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards, which consists of writing three parts: [problems] related to [cause/related factors] as evidenced by [signs/symptoms], but the writing of nursing diagnoses is only in the form of problems or problems and causes. Conclusions: There needs to be a refreshing knowledge about the Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards to improve the knowledge and skills of nurses in documenting nursing diagnoses.
