Abstract

. TikTok is an effective platform for influencers to build popularity and increase interaction with audiences. This study aims to analyze Tasya Farasya's strategy in conveying beauty content on TikTok and its contribution to engagement and popularity. Using descriptive qualitative methods, data were collected through documentation, observation, and interviews. Data analysis was carried out using a qualitative content analysis approach. New media theory (Flew, Power, and Littlejohn) is used to understand the role of TikTok's digital interactivity, while Social Influence Theory (Kelman) explains Tasya's influence through three levels: compliance, identification, and internalization. The results of the study showed that Tasya Farasya leveraged TikTok's interactive features, such as comment replies, viral trends, and direct interactions to build engagement. The storytelling technique in product reviews and the "Tasya Farasya Approved" label also strengthens her credibility as a beauty influencer. The study concludes that influencer success depends not only on the quality of the content, but also on communication strategies, audience engagement, and the ability to build trends and trust. These findings are expected to be a reference for influencers and content creators in developing effective strategies on social media, especially TikTok.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how symbolic interaction shapes the personalities of characters in the 5 Panca Wanda Mask performance. The purpose of this study is to determine the characters and dance styles in 5 Panca Wanda Mask, and to educate the people of Cirebon to know that the Mask Dance was created in order to spread Islam. By relying on George Herbert Mead's symbolic interaction theory and Sugiyono's qualitative approach, we try to understand how the symbols in the masks reflect the stages of human personality development. In 5 Panca Wanda Mask, there are five characters Panji, Samba, Rumyang, Tumenggung, and Kelana, each of which symbolizes a different phase of life, from babies, children, teenagers, to adults. Their characters are depicted through facial expressions, colors, movements, and the way they interact on stage. As a result, this performance reflects the process of individual identity formation as explained by Mead, namely the stages of imitation, play, and group play. Symbols in masks are not only a means of communication, but also shape people's understanding of a person's role and existence. So, this study opens up insight into how traditional performing arts can be a reflection of the process of social interaction that shapes human personality.

Abstract

Socio-cultural interaction is an essential element that must be continuously preserved in the safeguarding of cultural heritage sites, including the environment of the Kasepuhan Palace in Cirebon City. The area surrounding the palace is inhabited by a community known as the Magersari residents, who historically have had a special relationship with the palace. The aim of this study is to identify the forms of sacred ceremonies organized by the Kasepuhan Palace authorities and to examine how the Magersari residents engage in socio-cultural interactions within the royal family’s environment—both through direct participation and established communication. Furthermore, the study analyzes the factors that support the continuity of these activities. This research also seeks to explore the perceptions of the general public and visitors regarding the presence of Magersari residents in the palace area. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the Magersari residents actively participate in sacred events such as Muludan, Suroan, Saparan, and the ceremonial cleansing of gamelan instruments. They also serve as tour guides and vendors in the palace square area. The study concludes that there is a strong and mutually supportive relationship between the Magersari residents and the Kasepuhan royal family, which is manifested through sustained socio-cultural interactions. This relationship is influenced by religious, cultural, economic, environmental, and communicative factors.

Abstract

Family communication in building a support system in adolescents is a very important issue because through open and quality communication families can provide emotional, moral, and practical support that is important for adolescents. The purpose of the research is to be more enthusiastic in running a good and successful life, in terms of parental support and the mentality of adolescents in the digitalisation era and the ability of parents to listen actively. Researchers chose a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study approach and supported using the Family Communication Pattern Theory (FCPT) from Koerner and Fitzpatrick (2002). The results of this study suggest that enhancing family bonds is essential for honest communication and constructive action. Good communication also allows adolescents to feel heard, understood, and get appropriate direction from parents or other family members. Families can provide support such as, information support which functions as a source of receiving information directly, for example advice and suggestions, family assessment support can provide direction such as forms of gratitude and recognition, and instrumental support with family contributions in the form of facilities or infrastructure. Therefore, the family as a support system can help prevent adolescent mentality if there is no real family support, attention or affection, then changes in norms become a source of forming self-character such as temperament, unruly, more confident, and some even yell at parents.
