Abstract

This research aims to determine the practice of artificial intelligence in deepfake applications against cybercrime threats. Current technological developments have given rise to communication media using artificial intelligence technology in deepfake applications. The deepfake application can change a person’s visual and audio using a deep learning system and is widely used by the public and business actors. However, this technology often leads to cybercrime such as fraud and identity theft. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through literature review and analysis descriptively. The findings answer problems related to fraud and identity theft, focusing on the East Java Governor case, and emphasize the need for preventive measures by the public and government to avoid misuse of deepfake applications.

Abstract

The existence of media convergence is an effort to adapt radio to the digital era. Although many people think that radio will no longer survive in the midst of technological and information developments, in fact, many radios still survive and have loyal listeners and partnerships to use radio advertising services. This form of research aims to find out the application of media convergence carried out by Shelter 95.6 FM Radio's public relations to maintain its existence amid the presence of various new media as competitors and the development of technology and information. This research uses qualitative research methods and data collection by interviewing 2 sources with public relations and broadcasters and descriptive observations and data collection techniques through previous literature studies, strengthened by the Media Convergence theory developed by Henry Jenkins through the 3C approach (computing, communication & content). Some of the applications made by Shelter FM to compete with other media are the application of computing convergence media Shelter FM has adapted by broadcasting Shelter FM outside with only a laptop, microphone, and audio mixer and the application of communication convergence media live radio broadcasts and also streaming Shelter FM radio in the Shelter FM application and content convergence media by delivering information and broadcasting using digital technology, namely social media to expand networks and audiences.

Abstract

Family communication in building a support system in adolescents is a very important issue because through open and quality communication families can provide emotional, moral, and practical support that is important for adolescents. The purpose of the research is to be more enthusiastic in running a good and successful life, in terms of parental support and the mentality of adolescents in the digitalisation era and the ability of parents to listen actively. Researchers chose a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study approach and supported using the Family Communication Pattern Theory (FCPT) from Koerner and Fitzpatrick (2002). The results of this study suggest that enhancing family bonds is essential for honest communication and constructive action. Good communication also allows adolescents to feel heard, understood, and get appropriate direction from parents or other family members. Families can provide support such as, information support which functions as a source of receiving information directly, for example advice and suggestions, family assessment support can provide direction such as forms of gratitude and recognition, and instrumental support with family contributions in the form of facilities or infrastructure. Therefore, the family as a support system can help prevent adolescent mentality if there is no real family support, attention or affection, then changes in norms become a source of forming self-character such as temperament, unruly, more confident, and some even yell at parents.
