Abstract

Abstract

Widas Subwatershed in Nganjuk Regency is a tributary of the Brantas Subwatershed that often experiences flooding during the rainy season. The data on flooding is still in the form of numbers and tables so it needs to be mapped. The presentation of data in the form of a map is needed so that readers can analyse its distribution and help in mitigation planning against flood disasters. The purpose of this research is to analyse the level of flood hazard in the Widas Subwatershed of Nganjuk Regency and present it in the form of a map. The method used was scoring of 6 flood parameters, namely slope, land elevation, soil type, rainfall, land use, and river density, then weighting with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The result of this research is that Widas Sub Watershed of Nganjuk Regency is dominated by flood hazard area of 33,375.95 Ha while the flood hazard area is 3,415.55 Ha. Flood hazard areas are found in 28 villages in Gondang, Loceret, Nganjuk, Pare, Sukomoro, and Tanjunganom sub-districts. The flood-prone areas are caused by 4 main factors: low land elevation, Alluvial soil type, residential land use, and the density of the river is very sparse.

Abstract

One of the lessons that can improve every student's skills is Project-Based Learning (PjBL). PjBL itself can help students acquire knowledge by solving real-world problems in project tasks. This learning phase can gradually increase students' motivation. At first, students will have difficulty with this, but over time they will gain experience to get used to solving different problems in each part of the project. Therefore, students' competence will continue to increase in the final phase as more and more of them put learning theory into practice. To determine to what extent the students' learning success increases through the use of PjBL in class, the use of joint project tasks in several subjects is examined. The study was conducted using Classroom Action Research (PTK) consisting of 2 cycles. The research location is at SMKN 1 Blitar with the research sample being type XII PPIB 1. The tools used are observation forms for quantitative data and interview forms for qualitative data. Observation of student learning activities is carried out during the teaching and learning process. The general project task topics covered are Software Application and Building Interior Design (APLPIG), Construction Cost Estimation (EBK), and Building Utility Construction (KUG). The observed results show that in cycle 1 the average value of student learning activities is 69.19%, while in cycle 2 the average value of student learning activities is 78. 82%. Based on the results of hypothesis testing in each subject, it was found that the average score of each student increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2. In addition, through observing 7 types of learning activities, we also found that each student increased in each subject. type of learning activities in PTK. In summary, learning activities increased when PjBL was implemented Abstrak Salah satu jenis pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan individu setiap siswa adalah pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PjBL). Kesimpulannya, terjadi peningkatan aktivitas pembelajaran selama pelaksanaan PjBL.

Abstract

Vocational High Schools (SMKs) are educational institutions that emphasize equipping students with specific skills that can be directly applied in the workforce, aiming to reduce unemployment rates. However, unemployment in Indonesia remains significantly high among SMK graduates, which is largely attributed to the low work readiness of students. This study aims to examine the influence of practical learning and field work practical experience (PKL) on the work readiness of class XII students in the Building Design, Modeling, and Information Expertise Program (DPIB) at SMK Negeri 6 Malang, both partially and simultaneously. The research employed a quantitative approach using a saturated sampling technique, with all 89 students of class XII DPIB participating as respondents. Data collection was conducted through structured questionnaires and observations. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, multiple regression analysis, multiple correlation analysis, and calculations of relative and effective contributions, assisted by IBM SPSS Statistics software. The results indicate that both practical learning and field work experience have a significant and positive effect on students’ work readiness. When analyzed partially, each variable contributes differently: practical learning accounts for an effective contribution of 15.9% while field work experience contributes 48.2%. In terms of relative contribution, practical learning accounts for 24.8% and field work experience 75.2%. Collectively, these findings demonstrate that practical learning and field work experience significantly enhance the readiness of students to enter the workforce. This highlights the importance of integrating hands-on learning experiences and real-world field work into vocational education to better prepare students for professional environments and improve their employability. The study recommends that SMKs continue to strengthen practical learning curricula and provide ample field work opportunities to ensure graduates possess both the technical skills and work readiness necessary for successful employment.
