Abstract

Abstract: Students who decide to get married face various challenges in completing their studies. Learning motivation is a motivating factor for married students in carrying out their education process well. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research subjects were three married students from the Kerinci State Islamic Institute (IAIN). Data collection is done by interview. The results showed that the learning motivation of married students came from external sources, namely wanting to finish college so that after graduation, they could focus on taking care of their children and the support of parents and husbands to complete their studies immediately. The challenges in managing their learning motivation are related to the distance between home and campus—difficulty handling time in carrying out duties as a student and wife. The study's results also show that the ability to divide roles between husband and wife can help married students deal with time management problems. Keywords: Dynamics, Learning Motivation, Married, Students Abstract: Mahasiswa yang memutuskan menikah menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam menyelesaikan studinya. Abstract

This article will begin with an overview of REBT theory before moving on to a discussion of the ethics governing the field of psychology. This paper will try to answer the question whether Ellis's (1955) REBT theory can be used independently during therapy sessions, or whether it requires a combination of ethics and values to provide the best service to clients or not. Ethical considerations must be applied to the application of theory to improve it and make it more useful in therapy sessions, therefore it is important to determine how well theory can function on its own while still meeting the needs of its clients.

Abstract

This study is being done in Kerinci to find out how people understand and interpret gender and how the five Kerinci men and women are being used as informants based on life guidance, social relationships, perceptions of patriarchy, social behavior, and the woman's dual role. Case studies and phenomenological data are used in this qualitative study. The informants are chosen on purpose. There are five Kerinci men and women with more than one job, such as government workers, business owners, politicians, or people who run home businesses. The results of this study show that in five cases of Kerinci man and wife informants understand and interpret gender as agreement and conformity of man's and woman's function in taking the role based on cultural and religious values, which are Hargo lihi, adat istiadat, raso sgan, raso go, and religiosity, as part of life-guidance, because these values become the binding frame of man and wife in gender implementation. In the five Kerinci man and wife as informants’ case, the double roles of women are seen in the financial development, spiritual gift, motivation, and achievement of themselves and their family. This is because Kerinci people don't stop their wives from working, and their religion lets them do so as long as they keep their hargo lihi, self-esteem, and husband's agreement. Even though there isn't much time to spend at home with your husband in the evening, that doesn't mean it's not good.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of individual counseling services using a classical psychoanalytic approach in enhancing academic resilience among students with Sensing and Feeling personality types. The study participants consisted of 65 tenth-grade students at SMAN 2 Kota Sungai Penuh, grouped based on the MBTI test results. Resilience measurements were conducted through pretest-posttest assessments, before and after the intervention. The results indicated a significant increase in academic resilience in both personality groups, with a greater increase observed in students with the Feeling type. A paired sample t-test revealed significant differences in academic resilience before and after counseling in both personality types, while an independent sample t-test confirmed differences in the intervention’s impact across the types. These findings suggest that the classical psychoanalytic approach effectively helps students understand emotional conflicts and boosts academic resilience, particularly among Feeling-type students. This study recommends tailored counseling approaches based on personality types for optimal results

Abstract

Because women in Indonesian society gain more experience in the family, one of which is education instilled through family gender culture, women's career aspirations are believed to have their own characteristics. In today's society, the current condition of female students' career expectations is apprehensive. Most of the female students do not have any professional characteristics, such as career aspirations. This research involving 109 female students from various cultural contexts will divide their findings into two categories: patriarchal family education and matriarchal family education. The main objective of this research is to investigate the career expectations of female students in relation to patriarchal and matriarchal family education, and to compare the two household categories. As a result, the majority of female students from societies that place a patriarchal emphasis on gender have expectations of career self-efficacy, whereas those from societies that place a matriarchal emphasis on gender have expectations of outcomes. Parametric analysis of variance (ANOVA) test was used for comparative analysis. The test results show F = 75.011 for career expectations on self-efficacy and F = 145.467 for outcome expectation (OE). 0.000 is a significant value for both variations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the CAKEP strategy implementation in assisting the Merdeka Curriculum implementation at SLB N 1 Sungai Pagu. The CAKEP strategy, comprising five main components: Coaching, Execution Arrangement, Collaboration, Expert Involvement, and Limitless Care, was applied to enhance inclusive education quality for students with special needs. The results indicate that this approach effectively improved teacher competence, parent involvement, and community support in creating a more conducive learning environment. Increased teacher motivation, optimized resource utilization, and external support from psychologists and community leaders significantly enhanced the curriculum’s effectiveness. These findings highlight the importance of cross-sector partnerships in inclusive education and offer a potential model for other resource-limited schools.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance teachers’ competencies in implementing mathematics instruction oriented toward the development of students’ critical thinking skills through training on the RHOMI (Realistic and Holistic Mathematics Integration) model. The program was conducted at SMPN 8 Kota Sungai Penuh using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, positioning teachers as active participants throughout all stages of the program, including planning, action, observation, and reflection. The PAR approach was selected to ensure that the training was participatory, contextual, and sustainable, in line with teachers’ actual classroom needs. The results indicated an improvement in teachers’ understanding of realistic and holistic mathematics learning, as well as a shift in instructional practices from procedural teaching toward more dialogical, reflective, and critical-thinking-oriented learning. Teachers were able to design RHOMI-based instructional materials that integrated real-life contexts with mathematical concepts in a coherent manner. Furthermore, the program fostered collaboration and reflective practices among teachers. Therefore, the PAR-based RHOMI training proved to be an effective community service strategy for improving the quality of mathematics instruction and enhancing students’ critical thinking skills

Abstract

This article explores the transformation of teachers in Indonesia's elite Islamic schools from moral exemplars (murabbi) to service providers, set against processes of middle-class social reproduction. Drawing on Pierre Bourdieu's theory of capital conversion and symbolic violence, complemented by Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas's concept of the "loss of adab"—the erosion of knowledge's proper moral hierarchy—the study reveals how high-fee institutions (annual costs often exceeding IDR 70–300 million in 2025, as seen in schools like X Islamic School and modern pesantren) prioritize quantifiable religious credentials (tahfidz, MTQ victories, Arabic fluency) as markers of class distinction. Through qualitative multiple case studies of five urban schools, involving interviews with parents, teachers, administrators, and alumni, findings highlight teachers' displacement: evaluated via KPIs and parental surveys, they internalize subordinated roles, fracturing their exemplary authority. This commodification perpetuates performative piety among students while eroding authentic adab transmission. The paradox is stark: institutions meant to foster spiritual formation instead reinforce stratification, producing generations adept in religious forms but often deficient in inner virtue—a subtle de-islamization masked as excellence.
