Abstract

Banjir menjadi bencana hidrologi yang paling sering terjadi. Di Kelurahan Sempusari Kaliwates Jember, tercatat 3 kali banjir pada tahun 2022 dengan korban meninggal terseret arus sebanyak 3 orang. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan karang taruna kelurahan Sempusari melalui penggunaan aplikasi pantau banjir sebagai early warning system dan pelatihan evakuasi korban. Kegiatan ini merupakan penerapan IPTEK dosen berupa aplikasi pantau banjir dan pelatihan evakuasi korban. Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner, Teknik observasi dan ceklist. Mitra yang terlibat sejumlah 30 orang, dengan hasil kegiatan berupa aplikasi pantau banjir berbasis android dan web, peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan karang taruna dalam melakukan evakuasi korban banjir. Diketahui 83% mitra mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan, 86,6% mitra cukup terampil dan terampil dalam penggunaan aplikasi pantau banjir, dan 90% mitra memiliki keterampilan cukup baik dan baik dalam evakuasi korban. Luaran kegiatan berupa manual book aplikasi, publikasi pada media massa, koran online serta artikel ilmiah

Abstract

Kadar hemoglobin dapat mengalami perubahan selama kehamilan dan kepatuhan dalam mengonsumsi tablet tambah darah serta asupan nutrisi menjadi faktor kunci dalam menjaga keseimbangan kadar hemoglobin tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami secara mendalam mengenai gambaran kepatuhan konsumsi tablettambah darah, asupan zat besi dan vitamin C, serta kadar hemoglobin pada ibu hamil di Puskesmas Panceng, Kabupaten Gresik. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus deskriptif. Populasi penelitian melibatkan seluruh ibu hamil trimester II di wilayah Puskesmas Panceng, dengan sampel sebanyak 34 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar checklist kepatuhan konsumsi tablet tambah darah, food recall 24 jam untuk mengukur asupan zat besi dan vitaminC, serta pengukuran kadar hemoglobin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar ibu hamil kurang patuh dalam mengonsumsi tablet tambah darah, dengan 65% responden yang patuh. Analisis asupan makan menunjukkan bahwa sejumlah besar ibu hamil mengalami defisit asupan zat besi dan vitamin C. Kadar hemoglobinsebelum intervensi menunjukkan bahwa 44% ibu hamil mengalami anemia, tetapi setelah intervensi, hanya 6% yang masih mengalami anemia. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa kepatuhan konsumsi tablet tambah darah, asupan zat besi dan vitamin C, serta intervensi gizi dapat berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kadar hemoglobin pada ibu hamil. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini melibatkan perluasan program intervensi gizi selama kehamilan, peningkatan edukasi, dan penguatan dukungan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kesehatan ibu hamil.

Abstract

Gluten, the primary protein in wheat and its derivatives, and lactose, the natural sugar in milk and dairy products, may trigger adverse health effects such as bloating, diarrhea, and metabolic disturbances in sensitive individuals. Gluten-free dietary interventions have also been reported as supportive therapy for certain health conditions, including autism. This study aimed to analyze consumer profiles, identify key preferences, and assess the potential local market demand for gluten- and lactose-free (GFLF) cookies. A descriptive observational study applying descriptive market analysis rather than predictive modeling was conducted among the general population in Jember, Indonesia. Using accidental sampling, data were collected from 120 respondents between July and August 2025 through an online questionnaire (Google Forms). The instrument assessed demographic characteristics, consumer awareness, product preferences, and purchase intentions. Data were analyzed descriptively using frequency distribution tables. The majority of respondents were young adults with income levels below the regional minimum wage. Approximately 78.4% expressed interest in GFLF cookies, and 65% indicated willingness to purchase them despite higher prices compared with conventional cookies. The main motivations for purchase were perceived health benefits (50%) and curiosity or willingness to try new products (30%). The acceptable price range was IDR 15,000–25,000 per 100 g. Estimated market demand ranged from 400 to 1,200 packages per month. These findings indicate a promising market opportunity for GFLF cookies in Jember, supported by increasing consumer awareness and interest in healthier food alternatives. Product development strategies should prioritize affordability, sensory quality, and consumer education to facilitate product downstreaming, commercialization, and sustainable market adoption of functional food products.

Abstract

Malnutrition, particularly stunting, remains a significant public health concern in Indonesia. In Jember Regency, the prevalence of stunting in 2024 reached 11.4%, which is notably higher than the East Java provincial average of 5.1%. Despite various intervention efforts, the reduction in stunting cases has not been significant, largely due to the lack of evidence-based approaches. This study aimed to analyze the spatial distribution of stunting cases using a geospatial approach. Data were obtained from the electronic Community-Based Nutrition Recording and Reporting System (e-PPGBM) of the Jember District Health Office for the years 2024–2025. The unit of analysis was 31 sub-districts in Jember Regency. Spatial analysis was conducted using Quantum GIS (QGIS) version 3.40.2. In 2024, 58% sub-districts were categorized as very high prevalence, 19.4% sub-districts as high, 19.4% sub-districts as moderate, and 3.2% sub-districts as low. In 2025, the distribution shifted, with 32.3% sub-districts categorized as very high, 25.8% sub-districts as high, 25.8% sub-districts as moderate, and 16.1% sub-districts as low. Trend analysis revealed that 12.9% sub-districts experienced an increase in stunting cases, 41.9% sub-districts remained unchanged, and 45.2% sub-districts showed a decline. Regarding the spatial relationship between regional distance and stunting incidence, urban and coastal areas tend to have fewer cases than highlands areas. Research findings indicate that this is due to limited access to animal protein sources, particularly seafood. Most residents rely on their own livestock products, such as eggs, chicken, and others. Prioritizing interventions in areas with high and very high prevalence rates while strengthening programs to sustain regions with low stunting cases, supported by enhanced geospatial analysis in nutritional surveillance to enable more effective stunting reduction strategies.
