Abstract

Transisi demografi (demographic transition) seringkali disebut juga dengan transisi vital. Transisi vital disini mengandung arti lebih sempit yaitu perubahan-perubahan tingkat kelahiran dan tingkat kematian dimulai dari tingkat kelahiran dan kematian tinggi, berangsur-angsur berubah menjadi tingkat kelahiran dan tingkat kematian rendah, dan tingkat kematian menurun lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan tingkat kelahiran. Kota Malang merupakan salah satu kota di Jawa Timur yang berhasil mencapai target TFR yaitu 1,75. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu berupa piramida penduduk, sex ratio, dan rasio ketergantungan

Abstract

Enhancing the quality of education can be achieved by incorporating technology and developing engaging media for students. This research focuses on the development of an educational e-comic covering the hydrosphere and its impact on life, using the ADDIE model—specifically, the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, and Implementation (ADDI). Expert validation confirmed the e-comic’s eligibility with an average score of 93%, classifying it as "very suitable" for educational use. Teachers and students from Senior High School Tumpang (Class XI-F, Social 3) participated in a media suitability test, with teachers rating it at 82% and students at 88%, both falling into the "very appropriate" category. An effectiveness test, conducted with students in Class XI-F, yielded a "moderate" gain score, indicating the e-comic as "sufficiently effective" in supporting learning. Thus, this e-comic meets the standards of suitability and effectiveness for teaching the topic "The Influence of the Hydrosphere on Life”.

Abstract

Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is an effective model for developing students' critical thinking skills in addressing geosphere-related problems. The application of the PBL model provide interactive educational content that supports analysis and problem solving on seismic materials.  This study examines the impact of integrating Google Sites into PBL on students' critical thinking, with a focus on seismic phenomena, a critical topic in geography education. The research was carried out in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Malang using the post-test control group design design with experimental class X.C and control class X.E. Critical thinking tests have been tested for validity and reliability using critical thinking indicators adapted from Irmawati. Independent sample t-test results with Sig. (2- tailed) are 0,000 or < 0.05 and the ratio of critical thought skills in experimental classes is higher than in control class. The findings indicate a statistically significant improvement in critical thinking skills for students in the experimental group (PBL with Google Sites) compared to the control group (conventional methods). The integration of the PBL model with Google Sites promotes ongoing student collaboration and enhances critical thinking skills in analyzing real-world seismic issues.

Abstract

Pemanfaaatan media pembelajaran yang kurang variatif akan menyebabkan penurunan motivasi belajar siswa. Jika diabaikan, hal ini akan berpengaruh terhadap kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang dipelajari. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk mengembangkan media ular tangga guna meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII. Metode yang dipakai untuk mencari jawaban dari tujuan penelitian yakni penelitian pengembangan model ADDIE meliputi analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Data penelitian mencakup lembar observasi dan angket dengan analisis deskriptif. Implementasi media ular tangga diterapkan sekali pada subjek penelitian kelas VIII SMP Negeri 28 Malang dengan melibatkan 20 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media ular tangga layak untuk dimanfaatkan guru sebagai media pembelajaran karena dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa baik pada indikator semangat belajar, keaktifan, maupun ketertarikan. Peneliti selanjutnya direkomendasikan untuk mengembangkan pertanyaan dan jawaban yang dekat dengan lingkungan siswa sesuai dengan materi ajar sehingga dapat dipakai untuk kelengkapan kartu soal dan jawaban pada komponen media ular tangga.

Abstract

Kurikulum 2013 SMA terdapat Kompetensi Dasar yang didalamnya memuat materi mitigasi bencana alam. Salah satu indikator capaian dalam materi tersebut adalah menganalisis persebaran wilayah rawan bencana di Indonesia. Capaian tersebut mengharuskan siswa untuk dapat menganalisis persebaran wilayah bencana. Atas dasar tersebut peneliti mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang didalamnya memuat materi kajian bencana alam yang dilihat dari aspek risiko yakni bahaya, kerentanan, dan kapasitas. Story map dengan judul “Risiko dan Mitigasi Bencana Banjir di Kabupaten Jombang”. Tujuan penelitian dan pengembangan adalah menghasilkan media story map yang valid dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran geografi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah research dan development dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Analyze). Instrumen yang digunakan menggunakan angket tertutup dan terbuka berupa angket uji validasi media, validasi materi dan tanggapan guru serta siswa. Hasil uji validasi materi mendapatkan persentase 96,4 persen dan validasi media mendapat 98 persen dengan kualifikasi sangat valid. Hasil uji coba pada siswa dan guru dilakukan dengan 1 kali pembelajaran tatap muka dengan model PBL dan memberikan angket tanggapan terhadap penggunaan media story map dengan kualifikasi Baik dengan persentase 77,2 persen dari siswa dan Sangat Baik dengan persentase 93,3 persen dari guru. The 2013 high school curriculum contains Basic Competencies which includes natural disaster mitigation material. One of the indicators of achievement in the material is to analyze the distribution of disaster-prone areas in Indonesia. This achievement requires students to be able to analyze the distribution of disaster areas. On this basis, the researchers developed learning media which contained natural disaster study material viewed from the risk aspect, namely hazard, vulnerability, and capacity. Story map with the title "Risk and Mitigation of Flood Disasters in Jombang Regency". The purpose of research and development is to produce a media story map that is valid and suitable for use in learning geography. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Analyze). The instruments used were closed and open questionnaires in the form of media validation test questionnaires, material validation and teacher and student responses. The results of the material validation test got a percentage of 96.4 percent and media validation got 98 percent with very valid qualifications. The results of trials on students and teachers were carried out with 1 face-to-face learning with the PBL model and provided a response questionnaire to the use of story map with good qualifications with a percentage of 77.2 percent of students and Very Good with a percentage of 93.3 percent of teachers.

Abstract

Natural resource material in geography subjects is real, conceptual, and related to the environment around students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop media that supports these needs. This is in accordance with the results of the analysis of student needs which is known as many as 15 students need learning media in the form of mobile applications. The development of mobile applications in this study is based on the analysis of the weaknesses of the previous media which only presents material conceptually. Through the analysis of these needs, it is necessary to develop mobile learning-based learning media on the distribution and management of natural resources. This development research aims to produce learning media based on mobile learning on the distribution and management of natural resources. This development research applies to the ADDIE model with four stages, including analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The product development results are in the form of an html file and an android apk named NARESa. The advantages of this learning media product are that it has an attractive appearance, is easy to use in the learning process, and presents contextual material. Suggestion from media expert validator is to add developer identity. Suggestions from material expert validators are that it is necessary to add sustainable principles and to add concept maps. The media feasibility test was carried out in class XI students of SMAN 7 Malang. Based on the results of the feasibility test, the media got a score of 84% with qualifications suitable for use. Suggestions for further research are the development of learning media that does not depend on an internet connection, so it is not slow in opening the existing features.

Abstract

A mother’s decision to engage in employment carries significant social and economic implications for both the family and the individual. This study aims to examine the influence of education level, family income, and participation in family planning programs on mothers’ decisions to work in Kedampul Village, Duwet Subdistrict, Malang Regency. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing logistic regression analysis to investigate these relationships among 77 respondents. The results indicate that education level and participation in family planning programs do not significantly affect mothers’ decisions to work. Conversely, family income has a significant influence, where lower family income increases the likelihood of maternal employment. These findings highlight the predominance of economic factors over educational attainment and family planning participation in shaping maternal labor force participation in this rural context. This study offers insights for policymakers and stakeholders focused on women’s empowerment and family welfare in similar socio-economic settings.

Abstract

Abstrak: Materi dinamika litosfer merupakan salah satu topik utama dalam kurikulum geografi di tingkat sekolah menengah atas, karena membahas proses-proses geologi yang membentuk dan mempengaruhi struktur bumi. Berdasarkan observasi serta wawancara bersama guru mata pelajaran geografi di SMAN 1 Tumpang, siswa kurang pemahaman dalam materi dinamika litosfer. Hal ini dikarenakan tidak mempunyai bahan ajar seperti buku atau sumber referensi yang disarankan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni guna mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan media instagram pada siswa terhadap minat belajar siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 Tumpang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain survei dan di analisis hubungan dari pengguna instagram dengan minat belajar siswa. Hasil uji spearman adalah 0.704 dan signifikansinya kurang dari 0.05, hasil ini menunjukkan hubungan kuat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa penggunaan platform instagram dalam pembelajaran terbukti meningkat partisipasi dan ketertarikan siswa pada materi. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis digital, khususnya dalam meningkatkan minat belajar geografi di era teknologi saat ini.  Abstract: The topic of lithosphere dynamics is one of the main topics in the high school geography curriculum, as it discusses the geological processes that form and influence the structure of the earth. Based on observations and interviews with geography teachers at SMAN 1 Tumpang, students lack understanding of lithosphere dynamics. This is because they do not have teaching materials such as books or recommended reference sources. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of using Instagram on students' interest in learning among 10th-grade students at SMAN 1 Tumpang. The study uses a quantitative approach with a survey design and analyzes the relationship between Instagram use and students' interest in learning. The Spearman's correlation coefficient is 0.704, and the significance level is less than 0.05, indicating a strong relationship. The results of this study indicate that the use of the Instagram platform in learning has been proven to increase student participation and interest in the material. These findings have important implications for the development of digital-based learning media, particularly in increasing interest in learning geography in the current technological era.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas dan hambatan dalam pelaksanaan program Keluarga Berencana (KB). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data yang digunakan yaitu sumber data primer dan sekunder. Data primer dikumpulkan dengan cara melakukan wawancara mendalam dan observasi lapangan. Wawancara mendalam mencakup informasi pencapaian target dan sasaran, pelaksanaan, dan hambatan program KB. Data sekunder dikumpulkan melalalui publikasi BPS, BKKBN, DUKCAPIL, laporan BPKB Kecamatan Bandar, dan penelitian terdahulu. Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Bandar Kabupaten Pacitan dengan unit analisis adalah 8 desa. Landasan teori dan konsep fertilitas menggunakan Davis & Blake (1956). Informan penelitian terdiri dari 2 penyuluh KB sebagai informan kunci dan 11 Pasangan Usia Subur sebagai informan pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program KB di Kecamatan Bandar efektif untuk menurunkan angka kelahiran. Program KB yang efektif diketahui dari target program KB yang ratarata sudah tercapai, diantaranya TFR, ASFR (15-19), dan CPR. Meskipun program KB sudah efektif akan tetapi masih terdapat unmet need KB yang disebabkan oleh faktor pekerjaan suami, penyakit, dan juga biaya. Dalam pelaksanaan program KB masih terdapat beberapa hambatan seperti keterbatasan jumlah penyuluh KB dan minimnya partisipasi Pasangan Usia Subur (PUS) laki-laki dalam mengikuti penyuluhan.

Abstract

Menjadi pekerja migran merupakan salah satu cara bagi perempuan untuk berpartisipasi dalam angkatan kerja. Banyak orang Indonesia mungkin dapat memasuki dunia kerja dan mengejar gaji yang lebih tinggi dengan bekerja di luar negeri. Studi ini mencoba untuk melihat hubungan antara partisipasi kerja perempuan untuk menjadi pekerja migran Indonesia di Hong Kong dengan usia, tingkat pendidikan dan status perkawinan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Sukun dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif melalui pendekatan korelasional dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 88 responden. Peneliti mengumpulkan data penelitian melalui observasi, wawancara terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Adapun pengolahan data dengan statistik inferensial menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa variabel tingkat pendidikan dan status perkawinan mempunyai korelasi yang kuat dan signifikan dengan partisipasi kerja perempuan. Sedangkan variabel usia mempunyai korelasi yang lemah serta tidak signifikan dengan partisipasi kerja perempuan. Adapun motif ekonomi menjadi motif utama dari responden untuk menjadi pekerja migran Indonesia di Hong Kong. Kata kunci: Migran , Usia, Pendidikan, Status Perkawinan
