Abstract

The education of deaf children presents unique challenges, especially in communication and social interaction. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of sign language in improving the learning experience of deaf students at SLB Negeri Bekasi. This research uses a qualitative method, which is by conducting observations as observations of deaf students in carrying out learning and conducting interview sessions with teachers related to the students observed. The research focused on a sample of two fourth graders and two first graders, to explore their learning experiences and methods related to the use of sign language in the classroom. The main stages of the research included identifying barriers to effective implementation of sign language and developing strategies to increase its use in educational settings. Findings show that sign language significantly facilitates communication, allowing students to express their thoughts and feelings more effectively, which in turn improves their social interactions and academic performance. The study also highlights the importance of customized teaching methods that incorporate sign language to meet the specific needs of children with hearing loss. In conclusion, the research underscores the need to integrate sign language into the curriculum to foster an inclusive learning environment, which ultimately contributes to the academic and social development of children with hearing loss.

Abstract

The learning by doing method or learning method involves students directly to the learning material, which helps students play an active role in the classroom. This study aims to analyze the process of applying the learning by doing method in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in elementary schools. This research uses qualitative methods and literature studies, which collect a number of theories from various books and scientific journals. The main stages in this research are to find out how to apply the learning by doing method, what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in the process of applying the learning by doing method. It can be outlined that in this study the learning by doing method will be very helpful in increasing student interest, high curiosity, helping students solve problems independently and wisely, and developing critical and creative thinking skills. Metode learning by doing atau metode pembelajaran yang melibatkan siswa secara langsung terhadap materi pembelajaran, yang membantu siswa berperan aktif di dalam kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalis proses penerapan metode learning by doing dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini mengguanakan metode kualitatif dan studi literatur, yaitu mengumpulkan sejumlah teori dari berbagai buku dan jurnal ilmiah. Tahapan utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui bagaimana cara penerapan metode learning by doing, faktor pendukung dan penghambat apa saja dalam proses penerapan metode learning by doing. Dapat digaris besari bahwa dalam penelitian ini metode learning by doing akan sangat membantu dalam meningkatkan minat siswa, rasa keingintahuan yang tinggi, membantu siswa memecahkan masalah secara mandiri dan bijak, serta mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Kompetensi dan Lingkungan Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Guru SDN Kecamatan Leuwiliang Dengan Kepuasan Kerja Sebagai Variabel Intervening. Variabel independen terdiri atas kompetensi dan lingkungan kerja, variabel dependen terdiri atas kinerja guru dan variabel intervening terdiri atas kepuasan kerja. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru Sekolah Dasar Kecamatan leuwiliang yang berjumlah 165 guru dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling, Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode asosiatif dan penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisa Analisis Jalur (Path Analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja dan kinerja guru. Namun, kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel intervening tidak memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar dari pada pengaruh langsungnya.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Trade Openness, and Inflation on Economic Growth (GDP). The data used in this research was taken from the World Bank, covering a sample of 5 countries in ASEAN during the period 2014 to 2023 which met the research criteria. The type of data used is secondary data, and the analysis is carried out using panel data regression techniques, which are a combination of time series and cross section data. The research results show that the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) variable has a significant and positive effect on Economic Growth. On the other hand, the Trade Openness and Inflation variables do not show a significant effect, with a negative direction on economic growth. The coefficient of determination value shows that the combined influence of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Trade Openness and Inflation on Economic Growth reaches 27.1453%, while the rest can be explained by other variables. To encourage economic growth in the 5 ASEAN countries, it is recommended that the government increase capital flows from foreign investment (FDI). Apart from that, it is important for the government to maintain stability in Export Import and inflation to support sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

The digital age has significantly transformed how Generation Z accesses and processes information through social media platforms. Platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube have become primary means for disseminating information rapidly and extensively. However, this ease of access also creates opportunities for the spread of hoax news, which can distort public perception and trigger social unrest. This study aims to examine how critical thinking skills can aid Generation Z in identifying and filtering hoax news on social media. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing a literature review and secondary data analysis, this research outlines steps of critical thinking such as evaluating sources, assessing evidence, fact-checking, and being aware of information biases. The results suggest that critical thinking is not only a vital skill for sorting information, but also a foundational element in fostering effective digital literacy among Generation Z.
