Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Trade Openness, and Inflation on Economic Growth (GDP). The data used in this research was taken from the World Bank, covering a sample of 5 countries in ASEAN during the period 2014 to 2023 which met the research criteria. The type of data used is secondary data, and the analysis is carried out using panel data regression techniques, which are a combination of time series and cross section data. The research results show that the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) variable has a significant and positive effect on Economic Growth. On the other hand, the Trade Openness and Inflation variables do not show a significant effect, with a negative direction on economic growth. The coefficient of determination value shows that the combined influence of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Trade Openness and Inflation on Economic Growth reaches 27.1453%, while the rest can be explained by other variables. To encourage economic growth in the 5 ASEAN countries, it is recommended that the government increase capital flows from foreign investment (FDI). Apart from that, it is important for the government to maintain stability in Export Import and inflation to support sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

The digital age has significantly transformed how Generation Z accesses and processes information through social media platforms. Platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube have become primary means for disseminating information rapidly and extensively. However, this ease of access also creates opportunities for the spread of hoax news, which can distort public perception and trigger social unrest. This study aims to examine how critical thinking skills can aid Generation Z in identifying and filtering hoax news on social media. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing a literature review and secondary data analysis, this research outlines steps of critical thinking such as evaluating sources, assessing evidence, fact-checking, and being aware of information biases. The results suggest that critical thinking is not only a vital skill for sorting information, but also a foundational element in fostering effective digital literacy among Generation Z.

Abstract

Salah satu tafsir terkini, Tafsir Al-Manār, ditulis oleh Muhammad Rasyid Ridha dan didasarkan pada ajaran gurunya, Muhammad Abduh. Tafsirnya beraliran Al-Adabī wa al-Ijtimāī dan bertipe Tafsīr bi al-Rayī dengan metode tafsir Tahlīlī. Gaya penafsiran yang menekankan pada isu-isu kemasyarakatan ini inovatif. Tafsir Abduh, berbeda dengan para ahli tafsir sebelumnya, lebih menekankan pada unsur petunjuk Al-Qur'an dan lebih fokus pada semangat ajaran universal. Abduh ingin para pembacanya baik cendekiawan maupun awam memahami bahwa karya-karya tafsir tradisional terdahulu tidak akan menjawab persoalan-persoalan penting yang mereka temui sehari-hari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan dua metode. Pertama, metode Analisis isi berdasarkan makna variabel tafsir (manhaj, al-thariqoh, al-Ittijah, al-Lawn dan mazhab). Kedua, yaitu menggunakan metode komparatif. Bagaimana metodologi penafsiran Muhammad Abduh dalam Tafsir Al Manar dan bagaimana penafsiran Muhammad Abduh terhadap ayat ayat dalam surat Al Fatihah. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pandangan ini didorong oleh jatuhnya populasi Muslim dan dipengaruhi oleh empirisme Muhammad Abduh dan Muhammad Rasyid Ridha. Sementara itu, pemaksimalan akal sebagai sumber informasi disebutkan dalam seluruh persoalan kemasyarakatan yang dibahas dalam tafsir Al-Manār. Salah satu kekurangan utama dari penafsiran Abduh adalah kecenderungannya untuk mengedepankan rasionalisme. Abduh berupaya menafsirkan Al-Qur’an dan hadits dengan logika modern, yang terkadang mengabaikan konteks historis dan budaya di mana teks-teks tersebut diturunkan.

Abstract

Tafsir Raudhatu Al-'Irfan fi Ma'rifati AlQur'an karya K.H. Ahmad Sanusi Pendekatan dijelaskan di halaman ini. Ditulis dalam aksara Arab Pegon dan Sunda. Kajian ini penting karena tiga alasan: pertama, akan meningkatkan kesadaran akan nilai sejarah sebagai jendela peradaban suatu negara; kedua, akan menyoroti perlunya generasi muda melek huruf agar dapat membaca tulisan-tulisan ulama Indonesia; dan ketiga, akan memajukan kajian tafsir di Indonesia. Pendekatan pengumpulan data yang penulis lakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif, yaitu mencoba menyajikan data dengan cara yang dapat dipahami dan terorganisir agar dapat diterima. Setelah itu, langkah selanjutnya adalah mengumpulkan data yang diperlukan, mendeskripsikannya, dan melakukan analisis kualitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan dua metode. Pertama, metode Analisis isi berdasarkan makna variabel tafsir (manhaj, al-thariqoh, al-Ittijah, al-Lawn dan mazhab). Kedua, yaitu menggunakan metode komparatif. Bagaimana metodologi penafsiran K.H Ahmad Sanusi dalam tafsir Raudhatu Al-'Irfan fi Ma'rifati Al-Qur’an.  Disini penulis akan memaparkan kisah hidup K.H. Ahmad Sanusi, Metode, Gaya, Sumber, Manfaat Utama, dan Kekurangan Kitab Tafsir Raudhatu al-'Irfan fi Ma'rifati Al-Qur'an. Metodologinya ijmali, gaya fiqih Syafi’i dan lughawi, sistematika ejaannya ‘Utsmaniyah, dan sumber penafsirannya adalah bi al-ra’yi al-mahmud, sesuai dengan temuan penelitian.

Abstract

Coconut shells are a vital raw material for charcoal briquette production, and ensuring their quality is crucial for producing high-quality charcoal products. This study develops an optimized deep learning model for detecting, classifying, and evaluating coconut shell quality using Mask R-CNN, with a specific focus on bridging the gap between theoretical model development and practical industrial implementation. Unlike previous studies that only evaluate model performance in Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), this research conducts comprehensive evaluation across both IDE and industrial web platforms. The Mask R-CNN model is modified by replacing the default ResNet-101 backbone with optimized variants including ResNet50-FPN and MobileNet-FPN to address performance degradation during deployment. A dataset comprising 1,611 coconut shell images with 8,922 annotated objects across four quality classes was created for training. Experimental results demonstrate that MobileNet-FPN achieves optimal balance between accuracy and computational efficiency, with 96% mAP@0.50 on training and 84% mAP@0.50 on validation. Class-wise analysis reveals "Wet and Fibrous" as the most challenging class (74.8% AP@0.50) due to feature overlap with parent classes and class imbalance effect, while "Clean and Dry" achieves highest performance (91.2% AP@0.50) due to distinctive visual characteristics. Statistical analysis confirms significant performance differences between architectures (p < 0.05). Deployment evaluation reveals MobileNet-FPN consistently achieves average inference time of 4.79 seconds on web platform with lowest variance (SD = ±2.41s), suitable for industrial quality control applications. The developed Flask-based web application enables charcoal briquette producers to evaluate raw material quality efficiently, demonstrating the importance of deployment-aware optimization for practical industrial application.
