Abstract

PT. XYZ  is one of corporate company engaged in the snack industry. One of  PT. XYZ fast moving product is Choco Roll. Choco Roll product have many forming raw material. There is around 20 raw material and packaging material to make 1 box of Choco Roll. Problem that aries at PT. XYZ is in the the supply of raw materials related to the scheduling of ordering raw materials. The company wants to store enough raw material inventory to be able to immediately fulfill all production processes, but this method is not effective and efficient because it will increase storage costs, expiration may occur, and there is a risk of price drops at any time. When a company wants to try to reduce costs by decrease the level of inventory of raw materials on hand, namely the inventory of raw materials that are already in the warehouse, but this condition will disrupt the production process if there are frequent shortages or stockouts of raw materials. Therefore to reduce the inventory cost, it needs to be make best planning in determining the number of ordered of raw material. The company must use a more scheduled raw requirements planning method to obtain a more optimal inventory cost. The purpose of this study is to determine the exact number quantity and order frequency to reduce inventory cost. This research uses lotting technique Least Total Cost (LTC) and Least Unit Cost (LUC) base on Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method. Based on the result of the Choco Roll demand from June 2022 to May 2023 obtained the total inventory cost of IDR 67,683.53 decrease by 25% to company real planning.

Abstract

PT Dapur Boga Lestari is a company that produces noodles and is located in Sidoarjo, East Java Province. Flour and eggs are the primary ingredients in the noodles themselves. In meeting its requirements, the business frequently faces numerous obstacles. PT Dapur Boga Lestari lacks a distinct company-wide method for controlling these basic materials. Despite the fact that the company must control the inventory of raw materials for flour and eggs in order to prevent shortages and excesses of raw materials, which incur additional costs for the company, The results of the calculations indicate that the min-max stock method yields a lower total cost than the company method. In each period, the min-max stock method results in a 19% cost reduction for flour raw materials. In terms of egg primary materials, the company saved 29% from April 2023 to February 2024 and 25% from March 2024 to January 2025. This research provides information that assists businesses in identifying investments that will not benefit their production processes.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a leading company in the palm oil industry, but there are still problems that need to be addressed in its supply chain management. The problems include 3% product returns from cooking oil shipments to distributors under the brands Sania cooking oil, Fortune cooking oil, Sovia cooking oil, and Siip cooking oil. In addition, there are fluctuations in demand, an increase in demand of 170% with a demand of 20,774 tons and a decrease in demand of 59% with a demand of 7,225 tons at an average monthly production of 12,195 tons. This research aims to design Supply Chain Resilience with a Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach. This QFD approach uses a 3-level HOQ. HOQ 1 assesses the relationship between customer needs and potential risks, resulting in risk prioritization. HOQ 2 assesses the relationship between potential risks and risk causes, resulting in the prioritization of risk causes. HOQ 3 assesses the relationship between risk causes and resilience measures, resulting in the prioritization of resilience measures. From the research results, 20 resilience measures were obtained and the 5 highest ranks were obtained as priority resilience measures, namely insurance, marketing quick response, product quality, customer relations, preventive maintenance and repair. The results of the resilience measure design are expected to be used as risk mitigation for the company.
