Abstract

For breeders who own a large number of chickens, it becomes a difficult task to keep them fed around the clock. Generally, farmers sprinkle feed on the feed ticket using their hands and walk along the cage, where the laying hens are very spacious. Such activities for chicken farmers will take time and energy. Such activities for chicken farmers will take time and energy. The main controller of this system uses the MCU Node which is connected to an RTC (Real Time Clock) to adjust the feeding time of chickens in real time. This automatic tool has two parts, namely the main container serves as a place to store food reserves, equipped with a servo motor that functions to open the valve so that the feed can come out to the feed in the cage.

Abstract

The development of science and technology is so rapid today, so that various ideas appear in the field of electronics. Then to help human life, we have tried to apply electronic technology to simple systems. This research is intended to examine the use of Smartstick (assisting stick) for people with visual impairments. So far it is known that walking aids for blind people are very simple, they do not use electronic devices. Furthermore, the Arduino application is applied to this tool, namely this stick is equipped with 3 sensors that operate 180°, then sound alarm, vibration and GPS. When a blind person approaches an object, the alarm will sound and inform the distance between the blind person and the object. With a sensor range of 180 degrees, objects that are below the middle and even above will be detected, so that the Smartstick user will be able to avoid the possible distance until the warning alarm goes offautomatically. Therefore, blind people don't have to worry about crashing into other unwanted objects.

Abstract

Heart health is an important thing to monitor, because the heart is an important vital organ and is prone to disturbances, especially for the elderly. Such as stroke, arrhythmia and other heart diseases. Usually a heart rate detector is only owned by people who work as health workers and health agencies, and if someone who has heart disease such as stroke and arrhythmia wants to check his heart health, he must come to a doctor or health agency. Therefore, a measuring device and monitoring of heart rate are made on a regular basis. This heart rate measuring and monitoring device is based on a microcontroller and android with a periodic database-based monitoring system. By using the MAX 30100 sensor which has an average error of approximately 3% with a difference value of more than 3 bpm with existing standard measuring instruments.

Abstract

Abstract- In the recent years, fashion brands and retailers in the West have introduced supplier’s codes of conduct to strengthen international labour standards in their supply chain. Village funds have been allocated since 2015, and increase overtime. In 2015, the allocation of village funds amounting to Rp.28.8 trillion increased to reach Rp60 trillion in 2018. Village funds were used to finance government administration, implementation of development, community development, and community empowerment. This research uses the difference-in-difference (DID) which is adapted to continuous treatment method to analyze the impact of village funds on the work of rural communities. The analysis uses "repeated" cross section data from SUSENAS 2012-2017. We found that an increase in village fund per capita was more likely to raise the labor hours in agriculture and service industries, primarily on non-Java islands. The recommendation of this study is the need for regulation to standardize the proportion of village funds allocation based on the demographic (or number of poor people) and geographical (land area) conditions of the regions. Moreover, increasing the effectiveness of organizational management can be implemented by increasing the capacity of village officials.

Abstract

Reducing carbon dioxide emissions is key to mitigating the adverse effects of global climate change. The expansion of the financial industry has become a vital aspect of economic growth, yet it may induce carbon dioxide emissions. This study investigates the relationship and causality between financial development and carbon dioxide emissions in Indonesia. The analysis uses data from 1971 to 2018 for per capita carbon dioxide emissions and credit provided by the financial sector as the main variables, while uses GDP, energy consumption, export value, and population density as the control variables. The Johansen cointegration test and VECM Granger causality are used to analyze the relationship and causality between main variables. The result indicates that financial development has a positive short-run and long-run relationship with carbon dioxide emissions, with bidirectional causation in the long run. It suggests that the government's program to develop the financial sector may harm Indonesia's carbon dioxide emissions. Therefore, the government should consider the environmental implications of financial development and introduce policies that incentivize financial actors to promote green finance and low-carbon technologies and support green initiatives.

Abstract

The manufacturing sector is one of the economic sectors that plays a crucial role in economic development in Banten Province. This study aims to identify the impacts of the People’s Business Credit (KUR) Program on the manufacturing sector in Banten Province. The methodology used in this study is input-output analysis to determine how the KUR Program may influence the economic sectors, especially the manufacturing sector in Banten Province. The study uses the input-output table released by the Statistics Bureau at the regional level. In Banten Province, there are five sectors with the highest value of KUR. These sectors are Wholesale and Retail Trade, Accommodation and Food Service Activities, Other Service Activities, manufacturing, and Real Estate Activities. The result suggests that the KUR Program may have a good influence on the flourishing of manufacturing sectors in Banten Province. The KUR Program may have the most significant impact on the manufacturing sector when the KUR Program is distributed to the manufacturing sector itself. However, the allocation of the KUR Program to other economic sectors, especially Wholesale and Retail Trade: Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles, Accommodation and Food Service Activities, and Other Service Activities, may also have significant effects on the manufacturing sector. It may indicate that the KUR Program strategy in Banten Province may be suitable to develop the manufacturing sector in Banten Province.

Abstract

Blind people are often hampered in their mobility, while currently available assistive technology includes manual sticks and electronic mobility devices. Currently, the development of smart canes is still being carried out in many studies. Smart cane works by detecting the distance of the cane to obstacles in front of you. From detecting this distance, the response the user gets is generally in the form of vibrations and sounds from the buzzer. The sound provided by the buzzer cannot differentiate the distance between obstacles. Therefore, this study proposes the existence of additional sound playback responses to differentiate far, middle, and near obstacles. Apart from that, the design of the prototype refers to the shape of a flashlight. The smart cane is designed using an Arduini UNO microcontroller with a rechargeable battery power supply with three response components, namely two ISD 1820 modules connected to a speaker to detect long distances (201-300 cm) with a "Hati-hati" sound and medium distances (101-200 cm) with an "Awas" sound, as well as a buzzer and piezoelectric component in the form of a "beep" sound and vibration for close distances (1-100 cm) to obstacles. The result is that both the ultrasonic sensor and response components work according to design. Apart from that, the rechargeable battery supply feature and the implementation of the prototype design make it easier for users to store and use for daily activities.
