This research aims to describe the implementation of inclusive and fair human resource management (HR) practices in realizing diversity and equality in the workplace. The research method used was a descriptive approach with sampling using total population techniques or saturated samples of 105 BUMD employees in the port services sector in East Java. Data was collected using the Diversity Management Climate Scale (DMCS) and the Workplace Inclusion Scale (WIS), and analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The research results show the company's commitment to increasing inclusion and fairness in the workplace, but there are still challenges in achieving optimal levels of employee satisfaction. The steps that have been taken are positive steps, but require in-depth evaluation of existing policies and procedures, as well as active employee participation in the improvement process. Through a holistic and sustainable approach, port services BUMD companies in East Java can create a more inclusive and equitable work environment, which will have a positive impact on the company's overall performance and productivity.

Abstract

This paper attempts to dismantle the pattern of trauma narratives developed in Indonesian literature by the second generation of the Pemberontakan PKI Madiun 1948. This second generation carries an Islamic narrative that is opposed to Communism. The narrative position of the Pemberontakan PKI Madiun 1948 is different from the G30S PKI 1965, in which the first PKI was the perpetrator, and the second PKI was the victim. The trauma narrative appears in the Ayat-Ayat yang Disembelih (2015) biography by Anaf Afifi and Thowaf Zuharon. The second generation lacks direct memory, which in Marianne Hirsch’s view, is postmemory. Accordingly, the theory used in this paper is Hirsch's postmemory, which believes that the second generation inherits trauma through investment in imagination, projection, and creation. The analytical method used is the methodological implications of postmemory theory with qualitative data. The pattern of the trauma narrative that emerges from the Islamic narrative to the PKI is; reflexive secondary first-person and mental transmission.

Abstract

Companies operating in the sector of meeting people's basic needs and using high technology are required to be able to provide quality services. HR management plays an important role, and efforts to improve the quality of HR require development strategies, one of which is building a culture of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). One way that is considered effective is by improving quality of work of life (QWL) to build OCB. This descriptive research took 42 employees holding supervisory positions at PT. PLN NP Surabaya, data was collected through HR assessment documents and Thurstone scale model questionnaires. The results of factor analysis show that QWL is represented in three components that influence OCB, namely the benefits component, work environment and career development. Aspects of OCB that can be observed are communication and feedback, which appear in the form of alturism, namely employees showing an attitude of being willing to help colleagues who need help, and civic virtue, such as involving themselves in company activities even though these activities are not needed in their work. This research proves that QWL has a positive and significant effect on the formation of OCB at PT. PLN NP in Surabaya.

Abstract

This study examines four Indonesian women’s travel narratives published between 2011 and 2014: The Naked Traveler One Year Round The World Trip (Trinity), The Jilbab Traveler (Asma Nadia), Perempuan Merah Putih (Nungky Irma Nurmala Pratikno), and London: Angel (Windry Ramadhina) through the concept of ambivalent agency by Ullah (2025) and Spivak’s (1994) notion of the double bind. This study reinterprets these contradictions not as conscious political strategies, but as symptoms of a complex, often complicit, negotiation with hegemonic power. The analysis reveals that agency in these texts is achieved through patterned accommodations to the very structures they critique: Trinity articulates agency through self-orientalizing mimicry that internalizes the tourist gaze; Nadia navigates the commodification of piety, transforming the jilbab into a neoliberal lifestyle brand; Nungky operates within the gendered constraints of State Ibuism, performing empowerment only within state-sanctioned nationalism; and Ramadhina utilizes intimate relationality to manage the anxiety of the unhomely. The study concludes that Indonesian women’s travel writing is less a site of pure resistance than a space of ambivalence, where the postcolonial subject must inhabit conflicting norms, simultaneously resisting and reproducing patriarchal and capitalist logics to achieve mobility.
