Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries that has various types of mushrooms, both those that are edible and those that are not. One type of edible mushroom is the oyster mushroom. In its growth, oyster mushrooms are greatly influenced by the temperature and humidity in the mushroom house. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of temperature and humidity on mushroom productivity and to identify the optimal temperature and humidity for mushroom growth. The research method involved measuring temperature and humidity in the morning, afternoon, evening, and night every day for 2 months, namely June and July 2024. The temperature and humidity data collected were the daily averages. After obtaining the average daily temperature and humidity data, the next step was to observe the shape and color of the oyster mushrooms and collect data on the number of mushrooms obtained each day for 2 months. From the data analysis, it was found that the oyster mushrooms hardened and turned yellow when the temperature and humidity were unstable for mushroom growth. The optimal average temperature and humidity were 27°C and 82%, with the number of mushrooms obtained being 55kg/day.

Abstract

SDN 92 Pekanbaru berlokasi di Jl. Patin No. 80 Kelurahan Umban Sari, Kecamatan Rumbai, Kota Pekanbaru. Pengelola sekolah menghadapi permasalahan ketersediaan air bersih dan sehat sesuai persyaratan kualitas air bersih yang distandarkan PERMENKES No.416/MENKES/PER/IX/1990. Sumber air pada SDN 92 Pekanbaru diperoleh dari sumur bor, namun kondisi air yang digunakan untuk keperluan di kamar mandi siswa dan guru saat ini masih kurang sehat. Air yang digunakan mengandung besi, hal ini dapat ditunjukkan dari menempelnya karat pada bak penampung air. Solusi yang dapat ditawarkan adalah menggunakan proses penyaringan. Penyaringan dilakukan menggunakan media berpori berupa pasir atau kombinasi dari pasir aktif, zeolit, karbon aktif dan lainnya. Media tersebut ditempatkan dalam pipa fiber diameter 8 inchi. Pembuatan dan pemasangan penyaring air di SDN 92 Pekanbaru telah menghasilkan air bersih dengan kriteria tidak berbau dan tanpa melalui proses pengendapan. Air yang dihasilkan saat ini tidak berwarna dan berdasarkan hasil pengujian dengan TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meter diketahui nilai TDS hasil penyaring bernilai 15. Kondisi ini memenuhi syarat kesehatan air bersih yang telah ditetapkan pada PERMENKES No.416/ MENKES /PER/IX/1990.

Abstract

Potensi objek wisata yang terdapat di Batu Bersurat belum tergarap dengan serius dan maksimal. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari minimnya sarana informasi dan promosi terkait keberadaan objek wisata di wilayah ini. Selain itu, minimnya keberadaan sarana pendukung turut menjadi penyebab rendahnya kunjungan wisatawan di wilayah ini. Berdasarkan pada permasalahan tersebut. Tim melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian dalam bentuk pengembangan sarana dan penyediaan akses informasi wisata dalam rangka meningkatkan minat dan kunjungan wisatawan di Kelurahan Batu Bersurat, Kabupaten Kampar. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diawali dengan pembuatan foto udara dan foto landscape di area wisata Batu Bersurat dengan menggunakan wahana pesawat terbang tanpa awak tipe fixed wing. Selanjutnya kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan pembuatan video udara sinematik dengan memanfaatkan dua unit pesawat tanpa awak tipe rotary wing (drone). Hasil dari pembuatan media promosi wisata berbentuk video udara sinematik, foto landscape dan foto udara, selanjutnya diintegrasikan ke dalam media informasi wisata berbasis website yang juga dibuat oleh tim pengabdian. Diharapkan dengan adanya media promosi dan media informasi wisata ini, memudahkan pengelola objek wisata di Batu Bersurat, untuk mempromosikan ke khalayak ramai terkait keindahan objek wisata yang terdapat di Batu Bersurat.

Abstract

Induction motor plays an important role in the industrial realm that serves as a driving parts such as the conveyor, lathes and others. Regarding to this important role, the early detection of induction motor damage becomes important for system operation, so that it could not stopped without scheduled. The types of damage that often occur in induction motor are mechanical unbalance, rotor damage and bearing damage. The usual detection method which uses vibration measurments has some disadvanteages such as it is very expensive, physical contact with the induction motor that occurs and the sensors are less heat resistant on induction motor. The author uses sound signal detection method that is cheaper regarding to the cost, it has no physiscal contact with the induction motor and heat resistant. The sound signal is generated by the exicitation of the artificial damage which is provided to the induction motor. Artificial damage is given by damaging the bearing, rotor and mass unbalance. Sound signal data from artificial damage test result on induction motor is processed by using fast fourier transform method. The result of the research obtains the amplitude increased number for one time motor rotation 2970 rpm (1xrpm) is 49.5 Hz, 144.5 Hz for bearing damage frequency and 78.5 Hz for the rotor damage frequency.Keywords : Induction motor, mechanical unbalance, bearing, rotor, signal sound, fast fourier transform

Abstract

Rotating machines that have been operating within a certain period of time there is frequent vibration. The vibration is usually caused by unbalance, misalignment, bearing defect, and others. Unbalance is ranked as a first cause of vibration, which more than 80% cases of vibration caused by unbalance. This condition causes the balancing process needs to be done. A commonly method of vibration measurement uses vibration sensors such as accelerometer or vibrometer, that should be affixed to the machine in operation. This can cause discomfort and may even dangerous the operator when measuring the machines. The solution of the problem can be done using non contact measurement, where the sensor is not attached directly to the test equipment. Microphone is a device that can record the sound signal without necessarily contact the tested device. The unbalance tendency of the test is characterized by the presence of the dominant frequency at one rotational speed (1 x rpm). From the test, the result of balancing of normal condition on one rotor and two rotors are 0.039 V and 0.031 V with balancing efficiency 87.88% and 80.74% respectively. The addition of unbalance mass on one rotor and two rotors is obtained balancing result of 0.031 V and 5.88x10-3 V with efficiency balancing of 93.58% and 97.43% respectively.Keywords : voice signal, unbalance, balancing, microphone, unbalance mass

Abstract

The pipeline system leads an important role and ubiquitous feature of modern society which is used as one of the high integrity fluid transport function, but has a major problem such as leakage and blockage. Detection methods are typically performed using ultrasonic pressure and wave differences at a relatively high price. The research method used is detection by using sound signal. Sound signal method is smart structural health monitoring that can detect problems quickly and precisely which has the advantage that is cheaper cost. Sound signals are given for leakage, blockage, and joint damage to water and waterless conditions of different sizes and positions. The sound signal data is processed by fast fourier transform and wavelet transform methods. From the test obtained the result increase amount of damage given the greater the amplitude generated with the largest estimation error in full blockage condition with water of 5%.Keywords : Sound signal, leakage, blockage, fast fourier transform, wavelet transform

Abstract

This study explores the potential of using sound signals to visualize corrosion within pipes. Early detection of pipe damage is crucial in preventing leaks and larger losses, especially in industries that rely on pipes for fluid distribution. Sound-based methods have advantages in detecting damage in hard-to-reach areas without direct contact with the pipe's surface. This study demonstrates that microphones mounted on the pipe surface can capture variations in sound signal characteristics related to corrosion conditions. To simulate corrosion in pipes, a layer of plasticine was applied to a specific area of the pipe's inner surface, creating a model of corrosion damage. The test results show that microphone positions aligned with the corroded area produce higher signal coefficients compared to non-corroded areas. With further processing, these signal data have the potential to be visualized as 3D images, providing a more detailed representation of the internal conditions of the pipe.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to obtain a design and prototype of quadcopter’s frame, which be developed further as a quadcopter that capable of carrying payload of 1.5 kg with flight time of more than 20 minutes. The design begins with estimating the values of Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW), required thrust, propeller dimensions, and wheelbase dimensions of the quadcopter. The results show the MTOW of the quadcopter was 5 kg, with each motor requiring of 2.5 kg of thrust per arm. The wheelbase dimension was 790 mm, and the propeller diameter of 17 inches. A wheelbase dimension was utilized to develop three conceptual frame designs for the quadcopter. The three conceptual designs were selected using a decision matrix table. The selected design was calculated for its structural strength by applying a load of 2.5 kg on each motor mounting. The results show the maximum stress value of 21.17 MPa, the maximum deflection of 3.5 mm, and safety factor of 22.44. Then, the prototype of quadcopter’s frame was manufactured. Therefore, the producing of prototype was measured the mass and deflection. Based on the measurements conducted, the quadcopter frame has an actual mass of 595 grams and a maximum deflection of 3.7 mm. The actual deflection value and the actual mass are close to the deflection and mass obtained from the calculation.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh tim pelaksana pengabdian Universitas Riau. Lokasi kegitan pengabdian ini bertempat di Gedung Politeknik Pelayaran Sumatera Barat (Poltekpel Sumbar). Adapun kegiatan yang dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk melakukan evaluasi penghematan konsumsi energi listrik pada bangunan tiga lantai di Politeknik tersebut. Secara umum, tahapa pengabdian ini terdiri atas survei awal dan survei lapangan, melakukan pengukuran system penerangan, menganalisis konsumsi energi system penerangan Gedung, dan membuat rekomendasi potensi penghematan konsumsi energi system penerangan. Program pengabdian ini telah dapat terlaksana dengan baik dimana pihak poltekpel sumatera barat teralibat aktif saat survei dan penyediaan data. Dari hasil survei dan evaluasi yang telah dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa kuat pencahayaan penerangan saaat digunakan pada malam hari masih dibawah ketentuan yang disyaratkan. Potensi penghematan konsumsi energi listrik yang dapat diterapkan adalah metode pendekatan efisiensi energi yaitu dengan cara penggantian lampu TL dengan lampu LED. Penghematan energi listrik yang didapat mampu mencapai 2.393,1 kWh/bulan.

Abstract

Kegagalan material poros akibat dari pembebanan berlebihan sering kali terjadi pada dunia industri. Kegagalan tersebut biasanya berupa defleksi (lendutan) yang berdeformasi secara plastis. Pemilihan material ulang poros perlu dilakukan agar kegagalan serupa tidak kembali terjadi pada poros saringan gram roll grinding machine#4. Pemilihan ulang material poros saringan gram ini dilakukan menggunakan metode ashby dengan mempertimbangkan indeks dari material tersebut. Didapatkan bahwa awalnya poros menggunakan material AISI 1015 dengan yield Strength sebesar 300 MPa. Sementara itu tegangan maksimum yang terjadi pada poros akibat beban gram sebesar 318 Mpa, sehingga poros terdeformasi secara plastis. Material baru yang dipilih adalah Low Carbon Steel AISI 1022, namun dapat pula dipertimbangkan menggunakan Medium Carbon Steel AISI 1045. Pemilihan ini didasarkan dari tujuan pemilihan material poros yang selain kuat, namun juga relatif ringan dan juga relatif murah.
