Abstract

 ABSTRACTIn the interest of increasing student understanding, teachers are expected to be able to select and sort out various methods, models, and approaches that are appropriate to current circumstances. Applying an appropriate learning approach is expected to minimize boredom in learning activities. The purpose of this study is that teachers are expected to be able to apply a contextual approach to the learning outcomes that will be obtained by students. The method used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis, which describes learning outcomes through data in the form of diagrams taken from several student questionnaires and teacher interviews. The results showed that students' understanding of the material before applying the contextual approach to learning outcomes was the limited understanding of students regarding the description text material. It can be concluded that the application of the contextual approach for students needs to be improved again.ABSTRAKDemi kepentingan meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik, guru diharapkan mampu memilih dan memilah berbagai metode, model maupun pendekatan yang sesuai dengan keadaan saat ini. Dengan menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran yang sesuai diharapkan dapat meminimalisir rasa bosan terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah guru diharapkan dapat menerapkan pendekatan kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar yang akan diperoleh peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini analisis statistik deskriptif, yaitu mendeskripsikan hasil belajar melalui data berupa diagram yang diambil dari angket sejumlah siswa dan wawancara guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman peserta didik akan materi sebelum penerapan pendekatan kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar yaitu keterbatasannya pemahaman peserta didik terkait materi teks deskripsi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan kontekstual bagi peserta didik perlu ditingkatkan kembali.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the teacher's role in literacy skills. This role can be increased by developing training and strategies to improve teacher literacy. In this regard, this study aims to describe the implementation of training development and strategies for strengthening teacher literacy. First, analyze the needs and design of training development and teacher strengthening strategies, especially literary literacy, in the form of training models and materials/modules. The research method uses Research and Development (R&D). The research instrument at the preliminary stage used a questionnaire, while at the development stage it used an assessment instrument for training design and literacy strengthening strategies, and instruments to determine the impact of implementing and strengthening literacy strategies. Data was collected by means of observation, interviews, and field notes. The product was socialized and tested with a random sampling technique. The results of this applied research are product development through five processes, namely: 1) a preliminary study in the form of needs analysis. 2) Design of teacher literacy booster training in the form of training model designs using the Moodle-assisted Blended Learning model and learning materials or modules using the Problem Based Learning approach. 3) Validation by peer review and expert validation. 4) Evaluation of the development of training and strategies for strengthening teacher literacy. 5) Dissemination and implementation of products boldly (Moodle) and offline. Strengthening literacy is better than before, it can be seen from the higher posttest results, and the response is positive.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1). menganalisis puisi yang berjudul “Surat Cinta” karya WS Rendra secara semiotik, (2) mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian dari puisi yang berjudul “Surat Cinta” karya WS Rendra, dan (3) mendeskripsikan makna-makna dalam puisi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif yang menceritakan dan menggambarkan isi dari puisi yang dianalisis. Puisi “Surat Cinta” karya WS Rendra dianalisis secara semiotik guna mencari makna dan tanda-tanda kebahasaanya sehingga makna yang tersembunyi dapat terungkapkan dengan jelas. Hasil penelitian analisis semiotik pada puisi “Surat Cinta”, dapat dilihat secara kontekstual bahwa tokoh aku sangat mengharapkan dan mencintai seorang wanita, bahkan ketika banyak rintangan yang menghadang ia tetap teguh pendiriannya untuk mencintai perempuan itu.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form, meaning, and function of diction and figurative literary language of the journey contained in a collection of poems by A Romantic Journey the Beginning by Desi Anwar. Desi Anwar's method of stylistic assessment of ARJTB used in this study is descriptive-analysis through literature studies. The technique used in this study is by collecting data in the form of documentation, namely from ARJTB poetry by Desi Anwar as the research material object. While the formal object is the diction and figurative literature of travel. The results showed: (1) Studying denotative and connotative diction, the choice of words in my lyrics shows that the contents of ARJTB poetry are not merely channeling factual information but there are convincing goals, persuading, reminding, and insinuating with contextual understanding of a particular culture; (2) The figurative language in ARJTB's poetry hides the true meaning with an image and the poet has tricks to create a richer, more effective, and more suggestive effect in the language of poetry; (3) By Meaning, the ARJTB poem contains a fairly detailed description of the author's experience and perception of a place. I lyrics can give pragmatic information about a place visited and a description of people's culture through the author's perception; (4) The function of travel literature can analogize a story of narration and change one's intellectual attitudes to be wiser and pay attention to the meaning of beauty in every corner of the place (spot) that has been explored

Abstract

In the current curriculum, Curriculum 2013, the text becomes the main concept which develops the learning material. As for one of the material taught in the 2013 curriculum is the text of a film / drama review. The film / drama’s review texts discussed in the 2013 curriculum require the students be able to produce the review texts which suitable with their language structure and rules. Therefore in this study the author observes the analysis of structure and rules, especially among the sentences in writing of a film / drama review text by a class XI student. It uses a qualitative research approach with descriptive methods.The data source in this study is based on document. It is a collection of text reviews of films / plays by students of class XI. The objects of research are class XI or second grade of senior high school. This research using documentation and questionnaires as a data collection technique. The data is collected by using a test technique. The test is carried out with the same film for all students, a film from a TV drama entitled " Aku Malu Bapakku Badut ". All student are able to write review texts. In the analysis of the structure of text reviews as the work of class XI or second grade students with total of 36 student works, all students are able to write text structure review. While in conjunction between sentences, out of the 36 students, only 31 students used inter-sentence conjunctions.

Abstract

In the preliminary survey that has been conducted in the classroom, students have the value of poetry writing skills under the minimum completeness criteria that have been set by the school. The background of this study is the low ability to write poetry texts of Junior High School students. Students ' ability to write poetry texts needs to be improved because students must be trained in pouring words with imagination in the surrounding environment. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the discovery learning learning model with the help of flipbook media, the results of writing poetry texts after the implementation of the learning model and the activities of teachers and students during the learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis techniques. The Data were obtained based on the results of the application of the discovery learning learning model assisted by flipbook media which can improve the writing skills of Al Inayah Kutamukti Junior High School students. The presentation includes: 1) learning syntax, 2) the results of students ' poetry writing skills, and 3) the results of observations of teacher and student activities. The data obtained in this study are presented in Tabular Form and analyzed descriptively. The data processing is done by researchers, namely display, reduction and conclusions. The results of descriptive analysis after the first application, the steps of learning to write poetry texts using the discovery learning method assisted by flipbook media, namely the provision of stimuli or stimuli with flipbook media. 2) identify problems on how to write poetry 3) collect data from several sources facilitated by teachers 4) process information 5) proof and 5) draw conclusions. Second, the value of students in writing poetry obtained an average of 82 with the lowest value of 79 and the highest 86. The Data showed that the results of writing poetry students have reached the minimum criteria of completeness is 75. Then the last activity of teachers and students in the learning process based on the observation of 88% which means it has a good category. These results can be concluded that the learning model of discovery learning assisted by flipbook media is effective for learning to write poetry.

Abstract

This commitment in the form of training is motivated by the professional competence of teachers in the development of learning assessments. The assessment functions as a teacher's effort to be able to find the advantages and disadvantages of the learning process that is being implemented or that has been implemented. However, there are still many teachers who consider the assessment process to be only a formality. The assessment is not authentic, or the teacher gives conventional assessments, which tend to be carried out only to measure graduate learning outcomes, as if the assessment were separate from the learning process, without paying attention to assessments that can improve student competency during the learning process. Under these conditions, teachers need an assessment approach that is used in learning. This training aims to train teachers in developing an assessment of learning (AafoL) model through a gamification-assisted genre pedagogy approach. The training was held at the MGMP Indonesian Middle School, Garut Regency, West Java, at SMPN 2 Cibiuk, Garut Regency. The training uses methods: tutorial, workshops, structured assignments, and consultations. As a result, the teacher can have a basic understanding of assessment and its application in learning Indonesian. The teacher can compose HOTS-based Indonesian questions and provide good assessments.

Abstract

This research examines the depiction of Gajah Mada's political framework in literary works, which aims to dissect concepts such as power dynamics, personal interests, policy formulation, and cultural elements, as well as exploring the sharpness of Gajah Mada's leadership.The method used by Alan Swingewood's literary sociology.Data collection and data analysis in this research were carried out by means of literature study, namely first, reading the Gajah Mada novel which was used as the object of study intensively and critically; second, identifying data related to aspects of Gajah Mada's political system; third, inventory or record all identification data.The result of this research is that Gajah Mada's political power, represented as a wise and charismatic leader, highlights Indonesia's need for a democratic, transparent and accountable political system, as well as strengthening national unity and integrity. Gajah Mada's political interests, such as state stability, deconcentration of power, and sustainable development, can be adapted as political alternatives by strengthening checks and balances, independent control institutions, government transparency, community participation, and eradicating corruption. Gajah Mada's political policies succeeded in uniting the archipelago under Majapahit, providing inspiration for Indonesia to improve economic policies, develop justice and eradicate corruption. Gajah Mada's political culture, which involves the mandate of officials, deliberation, and attention to the welfare of the people, can be a basis for strengthening national unity and integrity as well as increasing national awareness through education.

Abstract

The study is based on the unique nature of each creation of lyrics that contain both intrinsic and extrinsic elements in each line. The goal of this research isn't to analyze the language style on a dazed lyric antology book by icsan scooter. Researchers analyze the lyrics using a descriptive approach. The source of the data used by researchers is that of 5 lyrics from a total of 60 lyrics. Researchers focused 6 figures of speech on the study: metaphor, personification, hyperbole, anafora, epistrophur and asonansi. Research data is summed up: (1) lyrics with the most grammatical usage are those that are entitled confused with a total of 25 different language styles. The lyrics with the least grammatical usage are those titled shankara with a total of 9 different language styles. (2) the metaphorical style is 11, as many as 10 personified, 11 of hyperbole, anafora as many as 8, epistrofa as 4, and 23 as of assonance. With a total of 67 figures of speech on the five lyrics that have been analyzed.

Abstract

Puisi merupakan sebuah karya tulisan yang mengandung amanat atau pesan didalamnya, pesan yang disampaikan dalam sebuah puisi memiliki makna yang dapat diambil hikmahnya. Sehingga perlu dilakukan analisis pesan yang terkadung pada puisi secara mendalam, agar dapat ditemukan hal yang dapat dipetik untuk memaknai kehidupan. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apa pesan atau amanat yang terkandung dalam puisi asa yang tak terbilang? Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan amanat atau pesan yang terkandung pada puisi tersebut. analisis pesan yang terkandung dalam puisi “asa tak terbilang” penting untuk diteliti agar menemukan pesan yang disampaikan oleh penyair dalam puisi tersebut. penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang mana hasil penelitian dideskripsikan dengan menyimpulkan isi pesan  yang terkandung dalam puisi. Teknik atau cara analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu membaca isi puisi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat hasil kesimpulan bahwa pesan yang terkandung didalam puisi “asa yang Tak Terbilang” Karya Siti Suharni Simamora yaitu, sekeras apapun kehidupan dan seberapa banyak impian yang dicita-citakan, jangan pernah berhenti untuk menjalani dan menggapainya sehingga dapat menyelesaikan ribuan asa yang tak terbilang dan tidak berputus asa.
