Abstract

Learning activities must use media that are in accordance with the character of students at the junior high school level, so that they can increase the enthusiasm of students to learn. The reality faced by junior high school students in state schools in Lembang is that students are less enthusiastic in paying attention to the material presented by the teacher. This is due to the absence of the use of images and the delivery of the dominant material using the script. This study intends to explain the impact of the application of dynamic website-based learning media on the material for writing folk poetry in seventh grade junior high school. Qualitative descriptive is the method and approach used in this research. In February 2022 this research was conducted. The data obtained in this research came from questionnaires, quizzes, and observation sheets. The output based on this research tells that, by using dynamic website media that emphasizes the principle of flexibility, it can increase the value and creativity of students in writing folk poetry texts. in writing people's poetry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1). menganalisis puisi yang berjudul “Surat Cinta” karya WS Rendra secara semiotik, (2) mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian dari puisi yang berjudul “Surat Cinta” karya WS Rendra, dan (3) mendeskripsikan makna-makna dalam puisi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif yang menceritakan dan menggambarkan isi dari puisi yang dianalisis. Puisi “Surat Cinta” karya WS Rendra dianalisis secara semiotik guna mencari makna dan tanda-tanda kebahasaanya sehingga makna yang tersembunyi dapat terungkapkan dengan jelas. Hasil penelitian analisis semiotik pada puisi “Surat Cinta”, dapat dilihat secara kontekstual bahwa tokoh aku sangat mengharapkan dan mencintai seorang wanita, bahkan ketika banyak rintangan yang menghadang ia tetap teguh pendiriannya untuk mencintai perempuan itu.

Abstract

Melalui lirik dari lagu yang dipadukan dengan nada dan irama, seorang musisi bisa menyampaikan pesan atau bercerita kepada orang lain secara tidak langsung. Dalam memaknai sebuah lirik lagu biasanya terjadi sebuah penyimpangan makna yang disebabkan dari penggunaan gaya bahasa maupun penggunaan istilah kiasan yang menjadikan lirik lagu tersebut memiliki makna konotasi atau bukan makna yang sebenarnya. Begitu juga dengan lirik lagu Di Atas Meja karya Payung Teduh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna dalam lagu dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dan dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan semiotika dengan menentukan penanda (signifier) dan petanda (signified). Langkah-langkah penelitian, yaitu: (1) Menentukan lagu, (2) Menentukan bait dari lirik lagu, (3) Menelaah lirik lagu menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Saussure (kata-kata), (4) Merumuskan aspek penanda dan petanda, (5) Menguraikan hasil analisis data. Hasil yang didapat dari uraian hasil analisis yaitu yang menjadi penanda (signifier) ialah lirik dari lagu Di Atas Meja sedangkan yang menjadi petanda (signified) adalah pemaknaan dari lirik lagu tersebut. Adapun makna dari lirik lagu ini adalah setiap permasalahan hidup pasti ada jalan keluar, tidak perlu takut dan menyerah dengan keadaan, hadapi dengan tenang walaupun kegelisahan selalu datang. Kata Kunci: Lirik, Makna, Semiotika

Abstract

This research was motivated by the difficulty of students in understanding learning materials Indonesian especially writing fable texts. Based on the results of observations made by researchers, the causative factors are low learning motivation and the ability to think of students in learning activities. In addition, the use of teaching materials in schools is also still conventional, only using package books. Teaching materials in the form of package books allow teacher center learning-based learning activities or learning carried out in one direction, where educators act as the core benchmark that provides material in learning. Therefore, the need for teaching materials that allow students to learn independently so that learning results are obtained optimally, especially in learning to write fable texts, one of which is teaching materials in the form of electronic modules. The purpose of this study was to find out how students respond to the use of Canva application-assisted electronic modules in learning fable texts in junior high school. The method used is qualitative descriptive with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The use of electronic modules was responded very well by students, it can be seen from the final results of data processing that there were 90.22% of responses that stated positive, the highest results were obtained in the third statement with a percentage of 97.71% and the first and fifth statements with a percentage of 96%.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the semiotic meaning of one of Sapardi Djoko Damono's poems entitled "Gray forest in the rain." In this poem there are many meanings or symbols that are difficult for the reader to understand. Therefore, the reader analyzes this poem. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Descriptive qualitative is a method that can describe, analyze, explain, interpret, and reveal the meaning and facts of scientific logic. The stages carried out by researchers in analyzing semiotic meaning are reading and understanding the entire content of the poem. Furthermore, the signs and markers found will be analyzed using Ferdinand De Saussure's theory, because in semiotic studies Ferdinand De Saussure's theory is considered the most important to analyze the signs, symbols, symbols conveyed by the poet in his work. The result of the poem 'Gray forest in the rain' depicts silence, darkness, and deep sadness. Each stanza and line in the poem depicts sadness as if the rain is falling and the forest reveals the real silence in endless sadness. Weeping is always enveloped in all the humming that is said.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of project-based learning through TikTok in improving student’s understanding of Indonesian procedural text. TikTok as a popular social media platform was chosen due to its potential to attract student’s interest and engagement in the learning process. The research method used is qualitative research with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and questionnaires involving 30 students. The results showed that project-based learning through TikTok was well implemented, encouraging student’s active participation and collaboration. Most students gave positive perceptions towards the use of TikTok, feeling that this media made learning more interesting, helped them understand the material better, and improved creativity and collaborative skills. In addition, the use of TikTok proved effective in improving student’s understanding of procedure texts, with the majority of students reporting improvements in conceptual understanding, memory, and retention of the material. Overall, this study confirms that the integration of TikTok in learning provides a significant positive impact, making learning more interactive and relevant to student’s needs in the digital age. This conclusion demonstrates the importance of exploring and utilizing social media as a tool in education to improve learning quality and student engagement.

Abstract

This research article is motivated by the problem of students' lack of interest in learning in explanatory text writing skills which is caused by the use of learning media and learning models that seem ordinary and do not attract students' attention, resulting in a decrease in students' interest in learning. This article aims to determine students' responses to the Picture and Picture model assisted by the Milkshake application and to determine students' ability to write explanation texts. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through questionnaires and tests. Research result show that the Picture and Picture model help Milkshake app has good response​ For used in learning , with an average of 73% response student . Next , results test knowledge and skills average 84 percent after implementation was carried out, thus it was stated that the ability of all class.

Abstract

Presentation is an essential skill in many fields, whether academic, business, or social, and social. In this competitive era, individuals who are not skilled in presentation will lose and be left out. In business and professional fields, communication skills become a basic competency that supports career development and business success. In the academic field, good communication skills can support academic achievement, while in the social field, presentation skills will support a person's existence in their respective social roles. Given the importance of this skill and the many obstacles most people face in understanding and mastering effective presentation techniques to convey messages well to an audience. I feel the need to share my understanding of the theoretical and technical aspects related to presentation skills so that it can be a solution to communication barriers when making presentations and foster confidence to appear to speak clearly and structured in front of the audience. This module is designed to provide guidance on effective presentation techniques using a variety of approaches, such as the use of attractive visuals, organized material structure, and the appropriate use of body language and voice intonation will be discussed in detail. It is hoped that by understanding and applying these techniques, you will become a better speaker and be able to convey information more effectively. This module is systematically packaged so that it is ready to be learned by any learner to achieve the Public Relations Competencies and Sub-Competencies, namely the Presentation Skills Competency Unit. Abstract

The research is motivated by the problem of creative writing of student literary works that is not optimal. Therfore, the research aims to determine the extent to which the STEAM approach can influence online learning of creative writing of student literary works. The research method used a qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this research were students of class 2017-B1. The process of collecting data through the task of writing an anthology of poetry and the results of a short story test. The results of this research point to a pre-implementation STEM approach with an average short story writing quality of 59.47% and a poetry writing score of 57.98% which should have a minimum target score of 75%. After the post-implementation STEM approach was carried out, the final score for writing short stories was 83.40% or an increase of 3.34%, while writing short stories obtained a score of 82.34% or an increase of 3.29% from the previous target score. It can be said that the STEAM approach in online learning of creative writing of literary works is different from previous learning. AbstrakPenelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan menulis kreatif karya sastra mahasiswa yang belum optimal. Maka penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pendekatan STEAM dapat mempengaruhi pembelajaran daring menulis kreatif karya sastra mahasiswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa angkatan 2018-B1. Proses pengumpulan data melalui tugas menulis antologi puisi dan hasil tes cerpen. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini dengan cara mendeskripsikan hasil menulis antologi puisi dan hasil tes cerpen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pendekatan STEM pra implemntasi dengan rata-rata kualitas menulis cerpen 59,47% dan nilai menulis puisi sebesar 57,98% yang seharunya target skor nilai sebesar 75% minimal. Setelah dilakukan pendekatan STEM pasca implementasi diperoleh skor akhir menulis cerpen sebesar 83,40% atau meningkat sebanyak 3,34% sedangkan menulis cerpen diperoleh skor sebesar 82,34% atau meningkat sebanyak 3,29% dari target nilai sebelumnya. Dapat dikatakan pendekatan STEAM dalam pembelajaran daring menulis kreatif karya sastra memiliki perbedaan dari pembelajaran sebelumnya.

Abstract

This research examines the identity of the Sundanese people contained in the Ciung Wanara (CW) myth. The research method uses the Levi-Strauss structuralism approach, which is assumed to be able to interpret myths comprehensively through innate discoveries which are the meeting point between surface and deep structure. The stages of research were carried out in several locations, namely (1) the search for Ciung Wanara data was divided into episodes and units; (2) synchronous and diachronic series were made to find the surface structure; (3) looking for a deep structure with a binary opposition path; and (4) innate discovery. The results showed that there were 17 episodes and 49 units. From the synchronic and diachronic tables for my theme, five triangular patterns were found, namely the queen's triangle pattern, the Supreme triangle pattern, the parents' triangle pattern, the life triangle pattern, the natural triangle pattern, and also found the Sundanese political triad. The most dominant pattern is contained in the Ciung Wanara myth, namely the triangular way of life, patterns of thinking, patterns of behavior, and patterns of action which are the identity of the Sundanese people and the application of the triad of Sundanese Politica (silih asih, silih asah, and silih asuh). AbstrakPenelitian ini mengkaji jati diri orang Sunda yang terdapat dalam mitos Ciung Wanara (CW). Penelitian menunjukkan model logis orang Sunda mengatasi konflik atau kontradiksi yang terjadi di antara mereka. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan strukturalisme Levi-Strauss yang diasumsikan dapat memaknai mitos secara komprehensif melalui penemuan innate yang merupakan titik temu antara surface dan deep structure. Tahapan penelitiannya, yaitu (1) pencarian data CW dibagi dalam episode dan unit; (2) dibuat deret sinkronis dan diakronis untuk menemukan surface structure; (3) dicari deep structure dengan jalan oposisi biner; dan (4) penemuan innate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 17 episode dan 49 unit. Dari hasil penyusunan tabel sinkronis dan diakronis untuk mytheme ditemukan lima pola segitiga, yaitu pola segitiga permaisuri, pola segitiga Mahatinggi, pola segitiga orang tua, pola segitiga kehidupan, pola segitiga alam, dan ditemukan pula trias politika Sunda. Pola yang paling dominan terdapat dalam mitos CW, yaitu pola segitiga kehidupan, pola berpikir, pola bersikap, dan pola bertindak yang menjadi kekhasan jati diri orang Sunda, serta penerapan dari trias politika Sunda (silih asih, silih asah, dan silih asuh).
