Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of pedagogical competence among Catholic Religious Education (CRE) teachers at SD Negeri 004 Tering, East Kalimantan. Pedagogical competence serves as a foundation for effective instruction, particularly when integrated with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach that connects faith-based content to students’ real-life experiences. Using a descriptive qualitative design, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis involving one CRE teacher and nine students. The findings indicate that the teacher demonstrates comprehensive pedagogical competence across lesson planning, instructional delivery, and authentic evaluation aligned with the CTL framework. The integrated learning cycle consisting of planning, implementation, and reflection, illustrates how faith values are contextualized through discovery, questioning, and reflective activities. This process cultivates moral awareness, critical thinking, and spiritual sensitivity among students. The study concludes that the pedagogical competence of CRE teachers functions as a transformative medium linking faith teachings with everyday life, embodying the essence of learning by believing within the spirit of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The bakery industry faces challenges in optimizing production due to limited raw materials and multiple product types. This study aims to analyze a system of linear equations representing the relationship between product quantities and raw material usage using the Gaussian elimination method. A case study involving bread, sweet bread, and cake production was conducted based on the availability of flour, sugar, and eggs. The system was formulated and solved using Gaussian elimination to obtain its general solution. The results show that the system has infinitely many solutions, indicating multiple feasible production combinations that fully utilize available resources. One practical solution identified is the production of 20 units of bread, 30 units of sweet bread, and 20 units of cake. This combination ensures optimal use of raw materials without waste. The findings demonstrate that Gaussian elimination is an effective method for supporting production planning and decision-making. Overall, linear algebra provides a reliable approach for optimizing resource allocation in the bakery industry.

Abstract

Background: Although freshwater fish are highly nutritious, fish products are processed using traditional and limited methods. Shredded fish (abon) is a diversified product with high economic value and a long shelf life, but it has low fiber content. Saba banana blossom is a local ingredient that is rich in nutrients and fiber and can increase the fiber content of shredded fish products.Objective: This study aimed to analyze and conduct organoleptic tests on the addition of 25% saba banana blossoms to various types of shredded fish samples.Methods: An experimental design was employed using a non-factorial completely randomized design with three treatments and three replicates. Organoleptic tests were conducted in August 2025 at the Organoleptic Laboratory with 30 panelists, whereas chemical tests were performed at the Food and Agricultural Product Analysis Laboratory. Data analysis was performed using analysis of variance, followed by Duncan’s multiple range test if significant differences were observed.Results: Organoleptic tests on shredded tilapia, catfish, and carp with 25% saba banana blossom showed no significant effects on color (mean score 3.62; p>0.05), taste (mean score 3.63; p>0.05), aroma (mean score 3.68; p>0.05), and texture (mean score 3.51; p>0.05). Proximate analysis indicated that the highest moisture, ash, fat, protein, carbohydrate, and fiber contents were 4.34 %, 6.31%, 25.08%, 50.99%, 22.69%, and 1.41%, respectivelyConclusion: The addition of 25% saba banana blossom did not significantly affect the color, taste, aroma, or texture of the shredded carp, tilapia, and catfish. The highest average proximate values were observed for shredded catfish. Future studies should use other fish species and involve expert panels and consumers for organoleptic testing to obtain more accurate results.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis coding Python dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep pecahan dan desimal pada siswa kelas VIII SMP. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memahami konsep matematika yang bersifat abstrak serta dominasi pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang memberikan pengalaman belajar interaktif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 03 Percut Sei Tuan yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes awal dan tes akhir yang dianalisis menggunakan N-Gain untuk mengukur peningkatan hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan setelah penerapan pembelajaran berbasis coding Python. Rata-rata skor meningkat dari 57,33 menjadi 81,87 dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,81 yang termasuk kategori tinggi. Selain itu, ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 13% menjadi 100%. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis pemrograman mampu membantu siswa mengonstruksi konsep matematika melalui aktivitas eksploratif dan representasi komputasional. Secara teoretis, hasil penelitian ini memperkuat pendekatan konstruksionisme dan computational thinking yang menekankan pembelajaran aktif berbasis pemecahan masalah. Secara praktis, integrasi Python dalam pembelajaran matematika dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran inovatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses belajar di sekolah.
