Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how Metrojambi.com as one of the media online reporting cases of violence against women. This research is qualitative research. Techniques of data collection using techniques refer and note assisted by data collection tables. Data analysis was performed with a description of perspective analysis of Sara Mills. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that from news of violence against women in the case of rape in media online Metrojambi.com published from August 2016-October 2018, construct women as subject, not as object of exploitation. However, in its presentation, women are still described as marginal, weak, defenseless and sensitive. Metrojambi.com's online media positions the reader as an ideological subject. Abstract

Epizeuxis in a collection of Anwar Chairil Poems: I'm a Bitch Animal. This article aims to investigate the epizeuxis style found in the lines of Chairil Anwar's poems: I am a bitch animal. The collection of poems consisted of 76 poems from Chairil Anwar from 1942-1949 totaling 76 poems, 2 poetry transcripts, and Chairil Anwar's letters to H.B Jassin. Descriptive method is using in this research. There are 21 poems that contain epizeuxis style. Found three epizeuxis language style contained in a collection of Chairil Anwar's poems. First, the language style is repeated directly in a row. Secondly, the style of language with important words repeated as affirmation. Third, the style of language that is considered important words repeated several times in a row.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to reveal (1) the nature of Minangkabau quatrains, (2) fundamental philosophy of Minangkabau quatrains and (3) the functions of Minangkabau quatrains. This research is uses the descriptive qualitative design. The results of the research show that (1) Minangkabau quatrains use Minangkabau language as means of communication, follow the philosophy of “from, by and for” Minangkabau society which are inspired from things related to Minangkabau and its thinking pattern and come from Minangkabau society, (2) the fundamental philosophy of Minangkabau quatrains is “alam takambang jadi guru”, (3) Minangkabau quatrains have some multifunctions for the life of the Minangkabau society. Keywords: minangkabau’s magic spells, fundamental philosophy, and function.

Abstract

Children can experience a disorder in their communication which is called speech delay. Speech delay is a condition when a child has difficulty in expressing his feelings or desires to other people. This difficulty is shown in inability to communicate or speak clearly. This article discusses the case of a child named ZH who experienced speech delays reaching the age of five year old. This is a case study research with qualitative approach. The data were collected by recording and writing, and then were analyzed by data reduction technique.  The authors drew final conclusions based on the data obtained and supported by theoretical studies. The results showed that parental communication patterns greatly influence language development in children. In this case, the communication pattern of parents towards ZH refers to the Tan-Soederbergh and Xavier Tan methods. This has resulted in many significant advances for language development in ZH. At the age of five, ZH has started to use vocabulary a lot to ask questions and explain things.

Abstract

The research is carried out to describe the role and position of bundo kandung as woman who was instrumental in the formation of the next generation character in the local Minangkabau’s novels during the new order. The research uses qualitative description method , and content analysis approach. The result shows that the role and position of women as bundo kandung have been carried out well enough both as a wife and a mother. However, some might just take advantage materially from spouses in which the women or wives cannot stay when things go wrong in their family. Even so, the role of women as bundo kandung is shown through Rumah Mande attitude in taking care of their brother’s children. In the novel, Persiden, bundo kandung is supposed to be taken into account of the Minangkabau tradition. But, their position does not work as it is. The reason for this is men who get the title as penghulu or mamak hold more power than bundo kandung does. Rinnai Kabut Singgalang also shows that bundo kanduang’s authority is getting lessened in the eyes of Minangkabau community. Bundo is simply a people’s symbol, but not to own full rights in the formation personality children and children in his family. The novel Mengurai Rindu describes women as bundo kandung have a great responsibility for their family, community, and husband’s community. In this novel visible that women are not only responsible for the formation of children’s personality, but is also able to protect her husband’s family.

Abstract

Nagari Nanggalo merupakan pintu gerbang menuju kawasan wisata Mandeh. Namun, nagari ini belum diberdayakan potensi alam dan budayanya, padahal selain ibu kota kecamatan, nagari ini berposisi di jalan utama Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan “mememberdayakan adat/tradisi berpakaian dan baralek melalui program Nanggalo sebagai Nagari Budaya (NNB) menyangga keberlangsungan wisata Mandeh, dengan kontribusi menyelamatkan tradisi dari keterancaman kepunahan dan mengembangkannya sebagai potensi pariwisata yang bernilai ekonomis. Metode yang digunakan kualitatif-deskriptif; pengumpulan data dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi kepustakaan; pelaksanaannya menggunakan metode partisipan observer, aktif partisipan, intervensi sosial, problem solving, dan adaptif appresiatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keberdayaan masyarakat sesuai permasalahan nagari, yakni (1) tingginya animo masyarakat memakai pakaian adat/tradisi ‘baju kuruang basiba’, baik dalam acara-acara adat-istiadat maupun dalam acara-acara formal kedinasan; (2) masyarakat termotivasi merealisasikan prosesi adat-tradisi ‘baralek’ kembali pada adat yang asali dan melaksanakan setiap prosesinya dengan antusias untuk kepentingan pelestarian dan komoditi wisata.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the character values that have been applied, the supporting and inhibiting factors encountered in the implementation of character education for Indonesian subjects. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The data in this study are in the form of opinions, notes on situations and conditions in the field and documents regarding the planning, implementation and assessment of educational character in the process of learning drama texts in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Gunung Omeh. The data sources for this research are written data sources, interviews, and drama text learning process activities. The data collection techniques for this research are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques of this research are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study are as follows. First, the teacher implements several character values in learning Indonesian, such as the application of polite and responsible values. Second, the inhibiting factors for the implementation of character education in learning Indonesian in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Gunung Omeh are the low awareness of students in obeying the rules, student learning motivation is still lacking, student awareness of tasks and responsibilities is still lacking.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat aspek yang mempengaruhi pemerolehan bahasa, kesalahan seperti apa yang dilakukan anak dalam pemerolehan bahasa di usia 5 tahun, dan aspek pendukung pemerolehan bahasa pada anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitiani ini diketahui bahwa aspek yang paling berpengaruh dalam pemerolehan bahasa adalah keluarga. Kesalahan yang ditemukan adalah pergantian fonem dan hilangnya fonem.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 16 Padang. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah bapak/ibu guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, kepala sekolah, wakil kurikulum, guru pendidik lain dan juga peserta didik di SMP Negeri 16 Padang. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa data primer dan data sekunder. Sumber data dalam penilitian ini ada tiga. Pertama, kepala sekolah SMP Negeri 16 Padang. Kedua, wakil kurikulum SMP Negeri 16 Padang. Ketiga, guru bahasa Indonesia kelas VII SMPN 16 Padang. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri. Hasil penelitian ini ada tiga. Pertama, penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka yang dilakukan oleh guru Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 16 Padang belum maksimal. Kedua, guru bahasa Indonesia mengalami kesulitan mengubah mindset atau pola pikir terkait kebiasaan lamanya dalam mengajar. Ketiga, guru harus memperluas pengetahuan dan mencoba hal-hal baru termasuk melakukan memvariasikan metode-metode dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the values of character education contained in the collection of short stories Rumah Ibu by Harris Effendi Thaha, to describe the values of character education that often appear in the collection of short stories Rumah Ibu by Harris Effendi Thahar, to describe the values of character education that rarely appears in the short story collection Rumah Ibu by Harris Effendi Thahar, and describes the values of character education that are not found in the short story collection Rumah Ibu by Harris Effendi Thahar. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive method. The data in this study are narrative sentences and units of events that contain character education values. Sources of data in this study were 12 short stories contained in the collection of short stories Rumah Ibu by Harris Effendi Thahar. The results showed that there were 18 values of character education in the short story collection Rumah Ibu by Harris Effendi Thahar, the value of character education that often appears is the value of religious character education, the value of character education that rarely appears is the value of disciplined and democratic character education.
