Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of commitment and work discipline on customer satisfaction through service quality as a mediating variable at PT Bank Negara Indonesia KCU Makassar. This study was conducted to determine the extent to which commitment and work discipline can influence customer satisfaction directly and indirectly through service quality. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative method. Data were collected through distributing questionnaires to 133 respondents who were customers at PT Bank Negara Indonesia KCU Makassar which had previously been determined using the Slovin formula. The data analysis technique used was Partial Least Square (PLS) with the help of the Smart-PLS program to test the direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results of this study indicate that Commitment does not directly influence Customer Satisfaction, but has a significant effect on Service Quality. Work Discipline has a significant effect on Service Quality and customer satisfaction. Service Quality does not have a significant effect on customer satisfaction. In addition, Commitment and Work Discipline do not affect Customer Satisfaction through Service Quality as a mediator. These findings indicate that human resource factors, particularly work discipline, play a more dominant role in increasing customer satisfaction than commitment or service quality directly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh keterlibatan kerja dan kepuasan kerja terhadap retensi anggota aktif pada Himpunan Pelajar Mahasiswa Turatea Komisariat Universitas Negeri Makassar. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anggota aktif, yakni sebanyak 96 orang, yang sekaligus dijadikan sampel melalui teknik sampel jenuh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, kuesioner berbasis skala Likert, serta dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda, dilengkapi uji instrumen, uji asumsi klasik, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap retensi anggota aktif. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin besar partisipasi, tanggung jawab, serta rasa keterikatan anggota dalam aktivitas organisasi, maka semakin tinggi keinginan mereka untuk tetap bertahan dalam keanggotaan. Selain itu, kepuasan kerja juga terbukti memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap retensi anggota aktif, menunjukkan bahwa rasa puas terhadap peran, hubungan sosial, serta sistem organisasi mampu meningkatkan komitmen anggota untuk berkontribusi secara berkelanjutan. Secara simultan, keterlibatan kerja dan kepuasan kerja memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap retensi anggota aktif, yang berarti kedua faktor tersebut memiliki peran strategis dalam memperkuat keberlangsungan organisasi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social media usage on impulse purchases of viral skincare products and to examine the role of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) as a mediating variable among Generation Z in Makassar City. Specifically, this research investigates: (1) the effect of social media usage on impulse purchases, (2) the effect of social media usage on FOMO, (3) the effect of FOMO on impulse purchases, and (4) the mediating role of FOMO in the relationship between social media usage and impulse purchases. This study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design to explain causal relationships among the variables. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 180 Generation Z respondents in Makassar City who had purchased or were familiar with viral skincare products promoted through social media platforms. The data analysis technique used was Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The analysis included outer model testing to evaluate validity and reliability, as well as inner model testing to assess direct and indirect relationships using the bootstrapping method. The results show that all proposed hypotheses are supported. Social media usage has a positive and significant effect on impulse purchases and significantly increases FOMO. Furthermore, FOMO positively and significantly influences impulse purchases and partially mediates the relationship between social media usage and impulse purchases. These findings highlight the important role of emotional and psychological factors in shaping impulsive buying behavior among Generation Z.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of price perception on customer loyalty via consumer satisfaction as an intervening variable at PT. Isuzu Mobilindo Plaza in Makassar City. The study considers price perception as the independent variable, customer loyalty as the dependent variable, and consumer satisfaction as the intervening variable. The population studied were consumers of PT. Isuzu Mobilindo Plaza products at least three times and who live in Makassar City and are aged 28–60 years. PT. Isuzu Mobilindo Plaza products at least three times and have used PT. Isuzu Mobilindo products for at least three years. A total of 104 people were selected for the study using a purposive sampling technique. The study employed a quantitative approach with a Structural Equation Modelling – Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) data analysis technique, using SmartPLS 3.2.9 software. The results indicate that price perception has a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Additionally, the final results show that consumer satisfaction mediates the effect of price perception on customer loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of career development on the job satisfaction of employees of PT. PLN (Persero) Distribution Main Unit and Load Control Center (UIP3B) SULAWESI. The research method uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observations, interviews, and questionnaires which were distributed to 70 respondents. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression with the help of SPSS software version 26. The results of the analysis show that career development has a positive and significant influence on employee job satisfaction. With a determination coefficient (R2) value of 2.8%, it identifies that 2.8% variation in job satisfaction is explained by career development implemented by the company. Meanwhile, the remaining 97.2% were influenced by other factors not studied in this study. These findings confirm that a planned and fair career development program can improve job satisfaction, thereby helping companies achieve better organizational performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work-life balance and workload on the work stress of civil servants (PNS) at SMAN 1 Luwu Timur. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 42 civil servants at SMAN 1 Luwu Timur. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression to test the effect of work-life balance and workload variables on work stress. The results showed that work-life balance did not significantly affect the work stress of civil servants at SMAN 1 Luwu Timur, while workload significantly affected work stress. Simultaneously, work-life balance and workload significantly affected work stress. These findings indicate that workload is the main factor affecting the level of work stress among civil servants.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of discipline and work motivation on employe productivity at the Maros Regency Personnel and Human Resources Development Office. The method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. The research sample consisted of 58 respondents, which included all employes at the office, using a saturated sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the SPSS program with multiple linear regression analysis to examine the influence of independent variables on work productivity. The research results indicate that work discipline has a positive and significant influence on employe productivity, with a calculated t-value of 6.848, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.67 and a significance level of 0.000. This means that the higher the employee's discipline, the more their work productivity increases. Work motivation also has a positive and significant effect with a calculated t-value of 7.851 and a significance level of 0.000, indicating that good motivation can drive improved employe performance. Simultaneously, work discipline and motivation have a significant effect on productivity with a calculated F-value of 64.012 > F-table value of 2.40 and a significance level of 0.000. Based on the Beta value, work motivation (0.587) has a more dominant influence than discipline (0.512). However, the coefficient of determination (R Square) value of 0.103 indicates that only 10.3% of the variation in work productivity can be explained by these two variables, while the remaining variation is influenced by other factors such as work environment, competence, and management support. In real-world conditions, even tho employes have good discipline and motivation, external factors also play an important role in increasing productivity. Therefore, human resource management must consider various aspects to improve overall performance.

Abstract

Local governments are trying to increase MSME’s income by encouraging economic growth through digital marketing. The existence of MSME’s plays a vital role in society because MSME’s greatly influence efforts to increase revenue for the community. The rapid flow of globalization has made technological developments digital, making business actors follow digital trends in response to the changing era. Many people have switched from conventional marketing to digital marketing. This situation emphasizes that business actors must optimize their marketing strategies and productivity by switching to digital marketing. Even amid many new businesses emerging, their companies can survive and grow by adopting digital marketing strategies. Based on these conditions, digital marketing training and development efforts need to be made to market unique and modern products so that they can generate more sales and be widely known to the public. The initial step taken by the community service team was to socialize the community regarding the training and development of digital marketing and strategies. Through the socialization of digital marketing, it is hoped to increase the insight of MSME’s actors about digital marketing strategies and the tools they can use.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilandasi oleh kesadaran bahwa pegawai merupakan inti dari keberlangsungan organisasi, dan motivasi kerja mereka tidak hanya lahir dari kewajiban, tetapi juga dari ruang belajar, kesempatan berkembang, dan rasa dihargai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan dan pengembangan karir terhadap motivasi kerja pegawai pada Balai Pemasyarakatan (Bapas) Kelas I Makassar. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 54 pegawai yang menjadi responden, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik regresi linear berganda melalui SPSS Statistics 25. Variabel penelitian meliputi pelatihan dan pengembangan karir sebagai variabel independen, serta motivasi kerja sebagai variabel dependen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja, menegaskan bahwa proses pembelajaran yang terarah mampu meningkatkan keterampilan, kepercayaan diri, serta semangat pegawai dalam menjalankan tugas. Pengembangan karir juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, menunjukkan bahwa adanya kejelasan arah karir, kesempatan promosi, dan dukungan organisasi mampu menumbuhkan rasa memiliki, komitmen, serta keinginan pegawai untuk memberikan kontribusi terbaik. Secara simultan, pelatihan dan pengembangan karir berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja, yang berarti keduanya menjadi faktor penting dalam membangun lingkungan kerja yang mendorong pegawai bekerja dengan lebih bermakna, bertanggung jawab, dan berorientasi pada tujuan. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya investasi berkelanjutan pada peningkatan kompetensi dan jenjang karir pegawai agar organisasi mampu menciptakan suasana kerja yang mendukung, memotivasi, dan memberdayakan setiap individu secara manusiawi.
