Abstract

In 2023, Hadi et al. found the solvability of the Fermat equation over the general linear group GL2(Zp) for p=2 and p=3. In particular, for Pythagorean equation over GL2(Z2) there are 12 solutions. In this research, we represent the set solutions as a graph and investigate the properties.

Abstract

AbstractVolatility plays important role in options trading.  In their seminal paper published in 1973, Black and Scholes assume that the stock price volatility, which is the underlying security volatility of a call option, is constant.  But thereafter, researchers found that the return volatility was not constant but conditional to the information set available at the computation time.  In this research, we improve a methodology to estimate volatility and interest rate using Ensemble Kalman Filter (EnKF).  The price of call and put option used in the observation and the forecasting step of the EnKF algorithm computed using the solution of Black-Scholes PDE.  The state-space used in this method is the augmented state space, which consists of static variables: volatility and interest rate, and dynamic variables: call and put option price. The numerical experiment shows that the EnKF algorithm is able to estimate accurately the estimated volatility and interest rates with an RMSE value of 0.0506.Keywords: stochastic volatility; call option; put option; Ensemble Kalman Filter. AbstrakVolatilitas adalah faktor penting dalam perdagangan suatu opsi.  Dalam makalahnya yang dipublikasikan tahun 1973, Black dan Scholes mengasumsikan bahwa volatilitas harga saham, yang merupakan volatilitas sekuritas yang mendasari opsi beli, adalah konstan. Akan tetapi, para peneliti menemukan bahwa volatilitas pengembalian tidaklah konstan melainkan tergantung pada kumpulan informasi yang dapat digunakan pada saat perhitungan.  Pada penelitian ini dikembangkan metodologi untuk mengestimasi volatilitas dan suku bunga menggunakan metode Ensembel Kalman Filter (EnKF).  Harga opsi beli dan opsi jual yang digunakan pada observasi dan pada tahap prakiraan pada algoritma EnKF dihitung menggunakan solusi persamaan Black-Scholes.  Ruang keadaan yang digunakan adalah ruang keadaan yang diperluas yang terdiri dari variabel statis yaitu volatilitas dan suku bunga, dan variabel dinamis yaitu harga opsi beli dan harga opsi jual. Eksperimen numerik menunjukkan bahwa algoritma ENKF dapat secara akurat mengestimasi volatiltas dan suku bunga dengan RMSE 0.0506.Kata kunci: volatilitas stokastik; opsi beli; opsi jual; Ensembel Kalman Filter.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat berupa pelatihan untuk guru-guru sekolah tingkat dasar di kecamatan Geger Bitung kabupaten Sukabumi. Tujuan kegiatan pelatihan adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kompetensi profesional Guru Sekolah Tingkat Dasar dalam pembelajaran matematika berbasis Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK). Kompetensi profesional TIK adalah kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk kepentingan pembelajaran. Kompetensi ini dapat menjadi penguat bagi kompetensi guru secara keseluruhan. Kompetensi TIK yang baik untuk guru adalah menguasai dasar-dasar TIK, mendalami pengetahuan tentang TIK, mampu mengkreasi pengetahuan dengan TIK, dan berbagi ilmu tentang TIK. Kegiatan pelatihan diutamakan pada bagaimana guru-guru sekolah tingkat dasar memanfaatkan TIK dalam pembelajaran matematika. Guru dapat memanfaatkan TIK untuk mempersiapkan proses pembelajaran dan atau ketika proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Dengan TIK guru dapat menambah bahan ajar dan mencari referensi tentang metode pembelajaran yang tepat untuk siswanya. Dalam pembelajaran guru dapat menyampaikan materi dengan lebih mudah diterima oleh siswa dengan bantuan pemanfaatan TIK. Adapun media pembelajaran yang disampaikan adalah Microsoft Sway yaitu aplikasi presentasi online yang dikembangkan oleh Microsoft, termasuk dalam rangkaian produk Microsoft 365. Sway termasuk dalam kategori Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) yaitu aplikasi presentasi interaktif dari Microsoft yang memungkinkan pengguna membuat dan berbagi berbagai jenis konten, seperti laporan, cerita pribadi, dan presentasi. Sway menggunakan TIK untuk memfasilitasi pembuatan dan penyebaran konten digital tersebut dan termasuk dalam kategori perangkat lunak (software) dalam TIK, karena merupakan program komputer yang berjalan di sistem operasi. Metode pelatihan yang dilakukan berupa pemaparan teori dan praktek yang dilakukan secara mandiri oleh guru-guru sekolah tingkat dasar.   AbstractCommunity service activities include training for elementary school teachers in Geger Bitung Subdistrict, Sukabumi Regency. The purpose of the training is to improve the professional competence of elementary school teachers in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based mathematics learning. Professional ICT competence is a teacher's ability to utilize information and communication technology for learning. This competency can strengthen a teacher's overall competency. Good ICT competencies for teachers include mastering the basics of ICT, deepening knowledge of ICT, creating knowledge with ICT, and sharing knowledge about ICT. The training focuses on how elementary school teachers utilize ICT in mathematics learning. Teachers can utilize ICT to prepare for and/or during learning. With ICT, teachers can add teaching materials and find references about appropriate learning methods for their students. In learning, teachers can deliver materials more easily understood by students with the help of ICT utilization. The learning media delivered is Microsoft Sway, an online presentation application developed by Microsoft, included in the Microsoft 365 product series. Sway is included in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) category, an interactive presentation application from Microsoft that allows users to create and share various types of content, such as reports, personal stories, and presentations. Sway uses ICT to facilitate the creation and distribution of digital content. It is included in the ICT software category because it is a computer program that runs on an operating system. The training method used is theoretical and practical presentations carried out independently by elementary school teachers.

Abstract

Although realistic and context-based approaches to mathematics instruction have garnered increasing attention, empirical syntheses evaluating the overall effectiveness of the Realistic Problem-Based Learning Model (PBMR) in elementary education remain scarce. This study conducts a quantitative meta-analysis to assess the impact of PBMR on students’ critical thinking and mathematical problem-solving abilities. Guided by the PRISMA framework, a systematic review and random-effects meta-analytic model were applied to 18 eligible studies involving a total of 1,234 elementary students across various regions in Indonesia. Data were extracted using a structured coding protocol and analyzed through effect size computation (Hedges’ g), heterogeneity testing, and publication bias assessment. The results reveal that PBMR has a significant and substantial effect on critical thinking (g = 0.74) and mathematical problem-solving skills (g = 0.68), consistently outperforming conventional teaching methods. These findings support the theoretical foundation of constructivist pedagogy and Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), affirming the role of contextualized learning in facilitating both horizontal and vertical mathematization and in enhancing higher-order cognitive functions. Practically, the study positions PBMR as a pedagogical model that aligns with Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum and other competency-based educational reforms. It concludes that the integration of authentic, context-rich problem scenarios fosters meaningful mathematical understanding and metacognitive development. The study recommends the incorporation of extended PBMR learning cycles into instructional design and curriculum planning. Future research directions include conducting larger-scale randomized controlled trials, employing standardized assessment tools, and exploring the implementation of PBMR in digital and hybrid learning settings.

Abstract

Abstrak Fraktal merupakan objek geometri matematika yang memiliki aplikasi di berbagai bidang. Batik fraktal merupakan satu di antara penerapan konsep geometri fraktal. Hal ini terjadi karena fraktal memiliki pola yang menarik seperti keserupaan dan proses rekursi yang dapat menghasilkan objek yang indah sehingga bisa dibuat menjadi pola batik. Di sisi lain, proses pembuatan batik fraktal dapat dikaitkan dengan proses pembentukan karakter dan dianggap sebagai suatu kajian untuk proses peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada guru dan siswa. Artikel ini membahas penerapan materi batik fraktal matematika dalam pembentukan karakter dan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada guru dan siswa di Kabupaten Sukabumi provinsi Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan yaitu studi literatur dan dilanjutkan dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan di lokasi. Dari kajian dan kegiatan yang dilakukan, didapatkan hasil bahwa materi batik fraktal ini cocok untuk dikembangkan dan diaplikasikan pada konsep pembentukan karakter dan pemecahan masalah pada guru dan siswa. Para guru juga mendapatkan wawasan baru dari konsep fraktal matematika yang dapat dikaitkan dengan seni dan hal lainnya. Karakter dalam pembelajaran matematika dapat diturunkan dari kegiatan membuat batik fraktal ini baik kepada guru maupun siswa. Abstract Fractals are mathematical geometric objects with applications in various fields. Fractal batik is one application of the concept of fractal geometry. This is because fractals possess interesting patterns, such as similarities and recursion processes, which can produce beautiful objects that can be made into batik patterns. Furthermore, the process of making fractal batik can be linked to character building and is considered a study for improving problem-solving skills in teachers and students. This article discusses the application of mathematical fractal batik material in character building and improving problem-solving skills in teachers and students in Sukabumi Regency, West Java Province. The method used was a literature review followed by on-site activities. The study and activities concluded that this fractal batik material is suitable for development and application in character building and problem-solving concepts for teachers and students. Teachers also gained new insights from the concept of mathematical fractals, which can be linked to art and other subjects. Character development in mathematics learning can be derived from this fractal batik-making activity for both teachers and students.
