Abstract

Public transport (PT) serves as the backbone of transportation systems, ensuring inclusive mobility for all travelers. Despite its benefits, PT is not a popular transport mode in cities in developing nations. While service quality factors have been widely examined in studies of PT preferences, the role of attitudes remains underexplored, particularly in developing countries. This study aims to reveal preferences for PT in Jember by including factors related to socio-demographic and attitude, where ordered logit model is used to estimate the parameters. The results indicate that potential adopters of the future PT services are younger individuals and workers who prefer convenient payment methods such as cash or QR codes, and who are sensitive to walking distances greater than 600 m to access stops. In contrast, frequent motorcycle users, those with easy access to existing PT, and individuals with stronger environmental consciousness appear less willing to adopt. For policymakers, this highlights the importance of designing PT services with shorter access distances, simple payment systems, and targeted particular policies to shift motorcycle users, thereby enhancing the likelihood of broader adoption in similar contexts.

Abstract

Letjen Panjaitan Road and Letjen S. Parman Road are national roads connecting Jember City and Banyuwangi City. Public roads with massive traffic volumes and high accident rates are a scourge in the community. Traffic accidents result in much loss, both property and vehicle damage costs, as well as medical care costs. In order to obtain road conditions that minimize the risk of traffic accidents, it is necessary to identify locations that are prone to traffic accidents. The method for handling accident-prone locations uses the Road Infrastructure Safety Audit form. Traffic accident data from 2014-2018 obtained from the Jember Police Traffic Unit with accident-prone locations occurred in the KM 1 + 250 to KM 1 + 500 road segments. Road infrastructure safety audits get a non-hazardous (NH) risk category. The road geometry in the field is following the geometric procedures for inter-city road planning issued by the Department of Public Works and Bina Marga.

Abstract

Bypass Mojokerto is main route of transportation between cities and provinces used to divert areas with high density activities. Based on data from Satlantas Mojokerto, traffic accidents throughout 2019 contained 436 accident cases with 57 people died. The causative factor for traffic accidents is geometric conditions of road that unsuitable with standard design Bina Marga in 1997. Therefore needed to analyze the geometric relationship between roads and road safety on section of Bypass Mojokerto KM Sby 51 – KM Sby 63. The research data used road geometric including radius of the curve, degree of curvature, and superelevation as well as the safety element data including value of the Equivalent Accident Number (EAN), accident number, and accident rate. Field survey was conducted to determine location of bend in KM. Then data processing uses googlemaps and google earth. Meanwhile, safety element data was obtained from Mojokerto Police. Geometric road data obtained were processed using Autocad and calculations were using excel. In this researh, the analysis used to analyze effect of relationship is the statistical test method of linear, multiple, and polynomial regression analysis using excel. The results of three analyzes were compared in order to obtain the percentage value that had the greatest influence on traffic safety. Based on research results, road geometric can have the best affect on road safety are superelevation, degree of curvature and slope with R2 each values of 39.34%; 49.94%; 35.65%. The results of superelevation analysis of road safety using polynomial regression analysis with a value of R2 = 0.393 and Y = -46518X2 + 4716.3X - 100.92. Meanwhile, the results of degree of curvature on road safety using polynomial regression analysis has a value of R2 = 0.499 and Y = 0.0002X2 - 0.0123X + 0.2412. In addition, the results of road safety slope analysis used polynomial regression analysis has a value of R2 = 0.356 and Y = 6.1457X2 - 9.3246X + 6.4163.

Abstract

Kecelakaan lalu lintas merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian tertinggi di dunia.Angka kecelakaan dengan korban meninggal dunia dari tahun 2009 hingga saat ini tidak menunjukkan penurunan.Kecelakaan terjadi karena beberapa faktor yaitu berkendara dengan kecepatan yang tinggi, melakukan kegiatan yang dapat menggangu konsentrasi berkendara, melawan arus, dan sebagainya.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik kecelakaan di Jalan Hayam Wuruk Kabupaten Jember. Berdasarkan data kecelakaan yang didapatkan dari web resmi IRSMS (Integrated Road Safety Management System) dari tahun 2014 hingga 2018, kecelakaan yang terjadi di Jalan Hayam Wuruk tercatat 118 kecelakaan. Karakteristik kecelakaan yang terjadi di Jalan Hayam Wuruk berdasarkan tingkat keparahan korban paling banyak mengalami luka ringan dengan tipe kecelakaan yang sering terjadi adalah tabrakan saat menyalip dari kanan, tabrakan depan-belakang, dan tabrakan kendaraan belok kanan dengan kendaraan yang datang dengan arah yang berlawanan. Pada keterlibatan pengguna jalan terjadi pada sepeda motor dengan persentase yang tertinggi. Berdasarkan waktu terjadi kecelakaan paling banyak terjadi pada pagi hari (05.01-09.00) dan malam hari (17.01-21.00).Berdasarkan penyebab terjadi kecelakaan paling banyak disebabkan oleh pengendara yang ceroboh dengan persentase tertinggi. Kata Kunci : IRSMS, Karakteristik, Kecelakaan, ABSTRACT Traffic accidents are one of the highest causes of death in the world. From 2009, accident rates with fatalities not showing a decline. Accidents occur due to several factors, such as driving at high speed, doing activities that can disrupt the driving concentration, wrong way driving, etc. The purpose of this research is to know the characteristic traffic accident on the Hayam Wuruk in Jember. Based on accident data from official web IRSMS (Integrated Road Safety Management System) since 2014 until 2018, accident that occurred on the Hayam Wuruk recorded 118 accidents. The characteristics of accidents that occured on the Hayam Wuruk Street based on the severity of the victims who suffered minor injuries with the accident™s types that occurred are collisions when overtaking from the right side, front-rear collisions, and collisions of vehicle turning right side with a vehicle that coming in the opposite direction. In the involvement of road users occurred on motorcycles with the highest percentage. Based the time of accident occurred most at morning(05.01-09.00) and night (17.01-21.00). Based on the causes of accidents most often caused by careless motorists with the highest percentage. Keywords: Characteristic, Accident, IRSMS
