Abstract

This study aims to identify pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies in the Sunggal variety of rice (Oriza sativa L.). This research was conducted in June 2023. The research location was carried out in rice fields belonging to farmers in Sidorejo Hamlet, Polokarto District, Sukoharjo Regency. This research is descriptive qualitative by making direct observations or observations on rice fields, interviews and literature. The results showed that there were 7 pests that attacked this single variety rice plant, consisting of 5 pests from the insect class (insects), 1 from the mollusk class, and 1 from the aves class. Pests caused by insects (insects), namely: rice bug (Leptocorisa oryzae), ground bed bug (Scotinophara coarctata), white rice stem borer (Scirpophaga innotata Walker), armyworm (Spodoptera litura), grasshopper (Oxya servile). Caused by molluscs, namely the golden snail (Pomacea canaliculate) and caused by birds, namely sparrows (Lonchura sp). While there are 6 caused by diseases, namely caused by fungi/fungi there are 5 and caused by bacteria there is 1. Among those caused by fungi/fungus namely: brown leaf spot on rice (Helminthosporium oryzae), narrow brown leaf spot on rice (Cercospora oryzae), stem rot in rice (Sclerottium oryzae), rice leaf blight (Rhizotonia solani) and leaf blast (Pyricularia grisea). Caused by bacteria, namely bacterial leaf blight of rice (bacteria: Xanthomonas oryzae pv oryzae). Then lastly there is one that is caused by a lack of nutrients, namely: potassium deficiency.

Abstract

In today's digital era, conventional learning media has begun to be abandoned. Currently, many modern learning media have been developed such as interactive multimedia, video media, and others so that the learning process becomes fun and students are actively involved in the learning process. The purpose of this study is; to explore the diversity of ferns in the Indrokilo Boyolali Botanical Garden and develop interactive biology multimedia materials for high school. The methods used are field exploration, taxonomic identification, and development of interactive multimedia. The research location is at the Indrokilo Boyolali Botanical Garden and the research was conducted for 3 months starting from December 2022 to February 2023. The results of the research and identification at the Indrokilo Botanical Garden found 31 types of ferns from 14 families and 3 classes. The interactive multimedia developed combines text, images, animations, and interactive videos. This multimedia has been evaluated and received positive validation results, so it can be used as interactive media in high school. Interactive media with other plant samples still needs to be developed because the Indrakilo Botanical Garden is a source of plant diversity

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Manajemen internalisasi kepedulian ingkungan pada anggota karang taruna Andeta Taman Kulon Wiroko Trtomoyo Wonogiri. 2) Program dan pelaksanaan kegiatan kepedulian lingkungan dalam skala mingguan dan bulanan bagi anggota katang taruna Andeta Taman Kulon Wiroko Tirtomoyo Wonogiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, lokasi penelitian berada di Dusun Taman Kulon Wiroko Tirtomoyo Wonogiri. Subyek penelitian ini adalah ketua karang taruna Andeta Taman Kulon, sekretaris dan dua anggota karang taruna. Sedangkan Ketua RT dan Kepala Dusun sebagai informan Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: 1) Dari perencanaannya dilakukan pada setiap rapat rutin bulanan karang taruna yakni setiap malam minggu di awal bulan. Pengorganisasian SDM saat kegiatan dengan melibatkan seluruh anggota dan menunjuk seksi kebersihan sebagai penangung jawab. Pelaksanaan kegiatan kepedulian lingkungan ada yang bersifat mingguan dan bulanan. Pengawasan dilakukan oleh ketua karang taruna dan Kepala Dusun. Evaluasi ini dilakukan pada saat rapat rutin dibulan berikutnya. 2) Kegiatan karang taruna Andeta Taman Kulon sebagai bentuk internalisasi kepedualian lingkungan yakni memungut sampah rumahan yang dilaksanakan satu kali dalam seminggu dan sapu bersih lingkungan di 3 RT dan masjid yang masing-masing satu kali dalam sebulan. Kata-kata Kunci:  manajeman, kepedulian lingkungan, karang taruna

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tumbuhan lumut (Bryophyta) yang dapat digunakan untuk penyusunan media pembelajaran berupa Multimedia Interaktif, mengetahui keragaman dan kelimpahan tumbuhan lumut (Bryophyta) di Kawasan Wisata Alam Candi Muncar, untuk mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran yang disusun ditinjau dari aspek materi, aspek media, dan aspek pemanfaatan berdasarkan penilaian guru biologi dan ahli, sehingga memperoleh media pembelajaran yang interaktif menurut validator dan mengetahui cara penerapan multimedia interaktif hasil penelitian dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode eksplorasi dengan menerapkan purposive sampling dalam pengambilan stasiun. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan analisis data menggunakan indeks nilai penting, indeks keragaman Shanon-Wiener dan indeks kriteria penilaian Tri Cipto Tunggul Wardoyo. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa jenis-jenis tumbuhan lumut ditemukan di Kawasan Wisata Alam Candi Muncar sebanyak 17 spesies. Keragaman tumbuhan lumut di Kawasan Wisata Alam Candi Muncar terkategori sedang dengan nilai indek H’ sebesar 2,72. Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) tertinggi, yaitu Hypnum circinale kelas Bryopsida sebesar 19,51 dan terendah, yaitu spesies Lepidozia cupressina kelas Hepaticopsida sebasar 5,33. Penilaian ketiga ahli menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran berupa multimedia interaktif Sangat Layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran yang valid. Penerapan media pembelajaran di dalam kelas dengan memanfaatkan multimedia interaktif sebagai bahan ajar pada saat pembelajaran sesuai dengan materi atau KD yang telah tertulis pada silabus.

Abstract

Pengamatan di rumah-rumah Desa Semanggi terutama RW 12 menunjukkan bahwa hampir setiap rumah terdapat sedikit lahan kebun dan sedikit tanaman khususnya sayuran. Wawancara dilakukan kepada beberapa warga RT 6, RW 12, Desa Semanggi menunjukkan bahwa warga khususnya Paguyuban Ibu-Ibu Santa Teresa Calcuta, Wilayah Santo Lucas, Semanggi, Pasar Kliwon, Surakarta kesulitan menanam beberapa tanaman sayur di area rumah mereka. Salah satu solusi yang ditawarkan kepada warga adalah cara penanaman sayuran melalui metode hidroponik. Penanaman sayuran dengan metode hidroponik memberi peluang untuk dapat menanam walaupun dengan lahan yang sempit. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan cara penanaman sayuran melalui metode hidroponik. Metode yang digunakan terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu tahap pertama meliputi persiapan dan observasi kebutuhan, tahap kedua yaitu pemberian angket pretes, tahap ketiga yaitu penyampaian materi dan diskusi, tahap keempat yaitu praktek pembuatan hidroponik, tahap kelima yaitu praktek cara merawat tanaman hidroponik, dan tahap keenam yaitu pemberian angket postes. Hasil pelatihan pembuatan hidroponik diperoleh hasil semua peserta (11 peserta) memperoleh skor angket postes meningkat 25% dari skor pretes. Produk tanaman hidroponik hasil karya peserta dinilai dan memperoleh skor ? 70 (skala 100) yang artinya sudah mencapai target minimal skor penilaian.

Abstract

One of the skills in the 21st century in learning that must be possessed by students is skills in critical thinking, but in reality critical thinking skills at the level of high school education are still relatively low. The purpose of this research is to improve the critical thinking skills of class X high school students by using the Problem Based Learning model accompanied by Socioscientific Issuess. This research is a classroom action research which has 4 stages, including planning, action, observation and also reflection. The subjects of this study were 34 students of class X SMA Negeri in Sukoharjo. Data on critical thinking skills was taken at the end of each cycle. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, tests/assessment techniques, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study is to use comparative descriptive. The results of the research on students' critical thinking skills scoring showed that in cycle I it was obtained by 41% (14 students), in cycle II it was obtained by 73% (25 students), and in cycle III it was obtained by 91% (31 students). These results indicate an increase in students' critical thinking skills has increased from cycle I to cycle III by 50%. So it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning model with Socioscientific Issuess can improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai pada penelitian ini adalah; 1. Untuk mengetahui efektifitas model pembelajaran komparatif yang diintegrasikan dengan pendekatan kolaboratif pada mata kuliah Anatomi Tumbuhan ditinjau dari kemampuan analisis mahasiswa. 2. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa setelah setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan pendekatan kolaboratif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian eksperimental. Subyek penelitian yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa semester II regular program studi pendidikan Biologi FKIP Univet Bantara Sukoharjo angkatan 2017/2018 sebanyak 12 orang.Waktu penelitian mulai bulan April sampai Juli 2018. Hasil belajar (kemampuan Analisis) yang diukur adalah hasil pre test dan pos-tes setelah selesai proses pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kolaboratif yang berbasis komparatif. Tehnik pengumpulan data dengan test dan analisis data dengan Uji Mann Whetney. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa;  1. Model pembelajaran Komparasi yang diintegrasikan dengan pendekatan kolaboratif pada mata kuliah Anatomi Tumbuhan sangat efektif dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa 2.  Model pembelajaran Komparasi yang diintegrasikan dengan pendekatan  kolaboratif  pada  mata  kuliah  Anatomi Tumbuhan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar (kemampuan analisis) mahasiswa secara signifikan dari rata-rata 63,08 menjadi 85,77

Abstract

Abstract. A team of biology education department Univet Bantara Sukoharjo has conducted active learning module training for teachers at Ta'mirul Islam Junior High School Surakarta. The purpose of the training was 1) To provide an understanding of the active learning-based modules 2) To provide training in developing active learning modules. The method used was lecture and question and answer, as well as guidance on the preparation of active learning based modules. Training activities begin with pretest and delivery of materials by seminar method (lecture). After the seminar, training was conducted with the module by the method. The teachers then went on to complete the live teacher learning module at home for two weeks. In the following week (2nd meeting) a review and guidance for improvement take 2.5 hours (150 minutes), and the activity ends with posttest. The learning outcomes show an average score. 27.22 of scale 100. The score indicates that the understanding of the learning module of the active learning module is still low and necessary. The average posted result is 86.11 (scale 100). The pretest-postest rate for each participant results in more than 25%, which means that the increase from pretest to posttest meets the target. Training products assemble teaching modules as well. Obtaining a score of assessment of 4 teaching modules from teacher training result that is more than 70 (scale 100) which have fulfilled target minimum score 70 (scale 100).Keywords: active learning, module, teachers Abstrak. Tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat prodi pendidikan biologi Univet Bantara Sukoharjo telah melaksanakan pelatihan penyusunan modul berbasis active learning bagi guru-guru di SMP Ta’mirul Islam Surakarta. Tujuan dari abdimas adalah 1) Untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang modul berbasis active learning dan 2) Untuk memberikan pelatihan dalam penyusunan modul berbasis active learning. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah dan tanya jawab, serta bimbingan praktek penyusunan modul berbasis active learning. Kegiatan pelatihan diawali dengan pretes dan penyampaian materi dengan metode seminar (ceramah). Setelah kegiatan seminar, dilaksanakan pelatihan penyusunan modul dengan metode workshop. Guru kemudian melanjutkan penyelesaian  modul berbasis active learning guru di rumah selama 2 minggu. Pada minggu berikutnya (pertemuan PPM ke 2)  dilakukan review dan bimbingan perbaikan selama 2,5 jam (150 menit) dan kegiatan diakhiri dengan posttest. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor pretes sebesar 27,22 dari skala 100. Skor tersebut menunjukkan pemahaman tentang penyusunan modul ajar berbasis active learning masih rendah dan perlu adanya pelatihan penyusunan modul ajar berbasis active learning. Hasil rata-rata postes yaitu sebesar 86,11 (skala 100). Sedangkan peningkatan skor pretes-postes setiap peserta diperoleh hasil lebih dari 25% yang berarti peningkatan dari pretes ke postes sudah memenuhi target. Produk pelatihan penyusunan modul ajar juga dinilai. Perolehan skor penilaian 4 modul ajar dari guru hasil pelatihan yaitu lebih dari 70 (skala 100) yang artinya sudah memenuhi target minimal skor 70 (skala 100).Kata kunci : active learning, modul, kelompok guru

Abstract

Most of the women from PKK Gabahan RT 05 work as housewives who need to acquire skills that can increase their family income. They have never received counseling or training on making Aromatherapy Candles from universities or other institutions. From the results of the interviews, several residents wanted counseling and training on making aromatherapy candles which could be used as an alternative to therapeutic drugs and could also increase financial income. For this reason, the biology education study program Abdimas Team will provide training to PKK Gabahan RT mothers. 05 Rw. 15 Jombor about making Aromatherapy Candles. They want counseling on this theme because most people don't understand how to make Aromatherapy Candles. The objectives of the community service are to provide education on how to make Aromatherapy Candles. Training is carried out once. The method used is lecture and question and answer, as well as practical guidance on how to make Aromatherapy Candles. The target of this counseling and training is to increase understanding of how to make Aromatherapy Candles among mothers who are members of the PKK Gabahan RT. 05 Rw. 12 Jombor by 20%. From the results of the training in making Aromatherapy Candles among women members of the PKK Gabahan hamlet RT 05 RW 12 Jombor, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in understanding of the process of making Aromatherapy Candles from an average score of 39.28 to 81.63, meaning there has been an increase in understanding of 39.28 to 81.63. 42.34 (112.52 %). The results of Aroma Therapy Candles can be used by mothers as health therapy medicines for their own needs or can also be sold to increase family income.

Abstract

The majority of PKK mothers in Tanjung Barepan Cawas village are housewives, they need additional income. In the dry season, soybean waste in Cawas is abundant and is only used as animal feed, it can be processed into compost, as an alternative family income. The purpose of this service is to provide training in making compost. Providing skills in applying compost to planting media. The methods used are lectures, questions and answers, and practice. The target of this training is to increase understanding of how to make compost by 20%, and the results of the skills are very good. The results of the training can be concluded, there was an increase in understanding of the process of making organic compost from an average value of 38.23 to 89.14, (153.04%). The value of skills in making compost and its application to media and plants was 88.92 and 88.71, meaning that all participants are skilled in making fertilizer and its application to plants. Compost making activities and the like still need to be carried out, because they have many benefits for residents in increasing skills and family income.
