Abstract

The learning outcomes of third-grade Indonesian Language students at Pucuksari Elementary School, Kendal Regency, were low, as evidenced by daily test data. Most students scored below the Minimum Passing Criteria (KKM ≥ 75), with only a few exceeding this threshold. Teaching methods were primarily teacher-centered and lacked diversity in instructional media, leading to low student engagement. To address these challenges, action research was conducted in the classroom using a jigsaw cooperative learning model supplemented with visual media. The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of this model in enhancing teacher skills, student activities, and learning outcomes in Indonesian Language lessons. The research design comprised two cycles, each involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The participants were 23 third-grade students—12 boys and 11 girls—from Pucuksari Elementary School. Data collection techniques included both non-test methods (observation, interviews, field notes, documentation) and test methods (written assessments). Findings revealed significant improvement in student engagement and learning outcomes, particularly in topics related to transportation technology. Achievement rates increased from 67% in Cycle I to 88% in Cycle II. Similarly, learning mastery rose from 55% with 9 students meeting criteria in Cycle I to 95% with 22 students achieving success in Cycle II. Conclusively, the implementation of the jigsaw cooperative learning model with pictorial media substantially enhanced student activities and learning outcomes. Teachers are encouraged to adopt this model to create more dynamic and engaging learning environments, yielding better academic results for students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Read Aloud-based learning videos to improve Early Childhood Literacy at Early Childhood Education Al-Quran Dian Asshobri which is appropriate and effective. The development of Read Aloud-based learning videos was developed with a System-based R & D research model, namely ADDIE. Product feasibility was tested by three experts, namely material experts, instructional design experts, and learning media experts as well as student feasibility tests through one-to-one tests, small-scale and large-scale tests. The sample media in this study were group B students with an age range of 5-6 years. The results showed that the quality of the Read Aloud-based learning videos developed was classified as good (89.71%), good for one-to-one trials (88.67%), good for small groups (90.20%) and very good for large groups (92.76%). Meanwhile, the t_count value is 7.87459 and the t_table value at a significant level of 5% is 2.306004, so t_count > t_table or 7.87459 >2.306004, so h_a is accepted and h_0 is rejected. This means that there is a significant difference in student learning outcomes before and after being given treatment. This shows that the Read Aloud-based learning videos are feasible and effective and can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Learning outcomes in Arabic language subjects in secondary schools are still low, so effective teaching materials are needed to improve Arabic language learning outcomes. The study aims to develop and test the feasibility and effectiveness of developing electronic modules based on blended learning flipped classroom in class X Arabic subjects at Nuraida Islamic Boarding School Bogor. The study uses a development model Borg and Gall which is integrated with the Rowntree model. To test the feasibility of the researcher using validation from media experts, design experts and material experts and also considering the results of user responses from teachers and students. From the results of the feasibility test carried out by material experts at 81.33%, instructional design/media experts at 90%, teacher users at 90% and student users at 95%. Overall, the category was "very feasible". The results of the pretest and posttest data analysis show that the average pretest score of students is 52 and the average posttest score of students is 90, while the maximum average score is 70. Based on effectiveness testing using the N-Gain Score formula, a result of 0.8 was obtained in the high category or a percentage of 90. Per the conversion of the achievement level of the N-Gain score review results with a value of >76 which is categorized as effective. This means that the e-module developed is effective in improving student learning outcomes in Arabic language subjects. So, it can be concluded that the electronic module based on the blended learning flipped classroom in Arabic subjects that was developed is feasible and effective to use.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has drastically changed the order of our lives in various aspects. One of the significant impacts is the increased risk of stunting in children. Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive caused by malnutrition and lack of nutrients over a long period of time. Children who are stunted have a shorter height than other children of their age and tend to experience delays in physical and mental development. Stunting can have a long-term impact on a child's quality of life, including problems with health, education and future productivity. Family resilience has a central role in preventing stunting in children. In the COVID-19 pandemic situation, an appropriate strategy is needed to reduce the occurrence of stunting, especially in CIjujung village, Sukaraja sub-district, Bogor Regency. The strategies are increasing access to nutritious food and providing training on how to generate additional income so that fulfillment of nutritious food can still be carried out, education on nutrition, good sanitation, routine health checks, exclusive breastfeeding and social support can help families prevent stunting in pandemic period. Thus, the role of the family in providing adequate nutrition and supporting the growth and development of children is very important in maintaining a healthy and strong generation in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of realistic animated fairy tale videos based on storytelling methods to improve the language skills of early childhood group B at Garuda Yaksa Kindergarten, Bogor Regency. Based on the low language skills of children, as indicated by initial data that 53% of children are in the category of Not Yet Developing, 27% Starting to Develop and only 20% Developing as Expected. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) by combining the Lee and Owens model and the ASSURE model. The media development process includes needs analysis, media design, animated video production, validation by experts (materials, media, and instructional design) as well as limited and extensive trials. The results of the study indicate that the developed realistic animated fairy tale video media is effective in improving children's language skills. This is proven by a comparison of the pretest and posttest results in three cycles of testing the N-Gain score assessment categorization with a final score of 86% where there is a significant increase in the learning outcome score. In addition, this media is also able to increase children's interest and active participation during the learning process. The conclusion of this study is that realistic animated fairy tale video learning media based on storytelling has proven to be feasible and effective as an alternative solution in creating an interesting, interactive and meaningful learning process for early childhood, especially in improving language skills in the digital era.
