Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the combined influence of leadership style and work discipline on the performance of State Civil Apparatus at the Office of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises in Jayapura City. Research Design and Methodology: The research employs a survey method with a quantitative and associative approach. The sample comprises 69 ASNs selected using convenience sampling from a population of 275 ASNs in Jayapura City. Data was collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and direct observations. Instrument validity and reliability were tested using SPSS and classic assumption tests, including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity—multiple linear regression analysis. Findings and Discussion: The results indicate that leadership style and work discipline positively and significantly influence ASN performance. Transformational and transactional leadership styles and high work discipline significantly enhance ASN performance. However, contextual differences affect these relationships, underscoring the need for a holistic approach in ASN performance management. Implications: The study has significant implications for public sector management policies and practices. The findings highlight the necessity of a flexible and integrative approach in applying leadership styles and work discipline to improve ASN performance. Future research should explore specific conditions under which these variables most effectively enhance ASN performance.

Abstract

Purpose: This study analyzes the impact of work motivation and creativity on employee performance at the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) in Papua Province. Research Design and Methodology: This research employs a quantitative method with a causal-comparative design. Primary data were collected through questionnaires from 77 BPS Papua employees, while secondary data were gathered from literature reviews. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to determine the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable. Findings and Discussion: The findings indicate that work motivation significantly impacts employee performance, aligning with motivation theories such as Maslow's hierarchy of needs and Herzberg's two-factor theory. However, work creativity does not have a significant effect on employee performance. This suggests that the routine and administrative tasks at BPS Papua may not require high creativity. Implications: These findings suggest that BPS Papua's management should focus on developing programs that enhance work motivation through training, fair incentives, and a supportive work environment. Further research is recommended to explore other factors that may influence employee performance and extend the study to different sectors and regions to test the consistency of these findings.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines and analyzes the effect of Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC), which consists of advertising, sales promotion, public relations, personal selling, and direct and online marketing, on the brand image of electronic television products. Research Design and Methodology: This study's population consists of 2,576 customers who use Panasonic brand televisions. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in 100 respondents selected from the Jayapura area. This research employs a quantitative method using primary data from questionnaires distributed to respondents. Data were analyzed through several stages, including descriptive statistical analysis, validity and reliability testing, and hypothesis testing using the coefficient of determination (R²), partial test (t-test), and simultaneous test (F-test). Findings and Discussion: The results of this study indicate that advertising, sales promotion, public relations, personal selling, and direct and online marketing each have a positive and significant influence on the brand image of Panasonic television products. Among these variables, sales promotion is the most dominant factor influencing brand image. Implications: These findings suggest that companies should enhance their sales promotion strategies while strengthening other communication components to build a strong and competitive brand image in the electronics market.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Sektor pariwisata merupakan salah satu industri yang secara signifikan mampu mempercepat pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu daerah dan mampu menyediakan banyak lapangan pekerjaan, mampu meningkatkan penghasilan masyarakat serta menstimulasi berbagai sektor lainnya. Tujuan utama dari kegiatan pengabdian diuraikan sebagai solusi pemecahan masalah. Fokus pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pada pendampingan masyarakat di sektor pariwisata yang berdomisili dikampung nelayan Hamadi Kota Jayapura dan komunitas masyarakat pariwisata Kota Jayapura. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah berupa ceramah, tanya jawab dan demonstrasi, kemudian kegiatan ini melibatkan berbagai narasumber baik dari Kementerian, Pemerintah Daerah Provinsi Papua, Universitas Yapis Papua serta Tokoh Masyarakat serta masyarakat yang terlibat. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah masyarakat Kampung Nelayan Hamadi semakin menyadari bahwa penting melakukan pengembangan potensi dan melakukan pengembangan strategi pengembangan kampung. Kata kunci: Pendampingan, kampung nelayan. ABSTRACT The tourism sector is one of the industries that can significantly accelerate the economic growth of an area and able to provide many jobs. It can increase people's income and stimulate various other sectors. The main purpose of community service activities is described as a solution to problem solving. The focus of this community service is on assisting people in the tourism sector who live in the fishing village of Hamadi, Jayapura City and the tourism community in Jayapura City. The method of implementing this activity is in the form of lectures, questions and answers and demonstrations, then this activity involves various sources from the Ministry, the Provincial Government of Papua, Yapis Papua University as well as community leaders and the community involved. The result of community service activities is that the people of Hamadi Fishermen Village are increasingly aware that it is important to develop their potential and develop a village development strategy. Abstract

Meningkatnya animo masyarakat terutama anak muda untuk menikmati kopi mendorong mereka untuk mencari tempat dimana mereka dapat memperoleh dan menikmati secangkir kopi sekaligus sebagai tempat untuk bersosialisasi dan mereka dapat menemukannya di kedai kopi. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan skill barista terutama barista dan magang barista di kedai kopi Meja Kopi di kota Jayapura. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah mengikuti program pelatihan adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan dasar peserta pelatihan, meningkatnya pengetahuan tentang potensi usaha, meningkatnya keterampilan peserta dalam meracik kopi dan tumbuhnya motivasi peserta pelatihan untuk memulai usaha di bidang ini. Kata kunci: Pelatihan barista, metode on the job training. ABSTRACT The increasing interest of people in enjoying coffee encourages them to look for a place where they can get and enjoy a cup of coffee, as well as a place to socialize, and they can find it in a coffee shop.  This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of baristas, especially baristas and barista apprentices at the Meja Kopi coffee shop in Jayapura. The results obtained after participating in the training program are an increase in the basic knowledge of the training participants, an increase in knowledge about business potential, an increase in the participants’ skills in blending coffee, and an increase in the training participants’ motivation to start a business in this field. Abstract

Tujuan: Studi asosiatif ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi SDM, disiplin kerja dan lingkungan kerja secara simultan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Bappeda Kabupaten Pegunungan Bintang. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik sampling total, melibatkan 90 responden dari populasi 90 karyawan. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi berganda untuk menguji efek parsial dan simultan variabel independen terhadap kinerja karyawan. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi SDM, disiplin kerja, dan lingkungan kerja secara parsial maupun simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai Bappeda Kabupaten Pegunungan Bintang. Di antara ketiganya, kompetensi SDM merupakan faktor paling dominan dengan nilai beta tertinggi (0,383) dan signifikansi 0,000. Model penelitian ini mampu menjelaskan 69,3% variasi kinerja pegawai. Implikasi: Peningkatan kinerja pegawai dapat dicapai melalui penguatan kompetensi SDM, pembinaan disiplin kerja, serta penciptaan lingkungan kerja yang mendukung. Hasil ini mendorong pengambil kebijakan untuk lebih fokus pada pengembangan kapasitas pegawai secara menyeluruh dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Museums, especially cultural museums have always been considered as gatekeepers of culture that put forward the main concepts of cultural preservation and conservation. Cultural visit to museums is effective stimulant in increasing cultural awareness, as well as strengthening the cultural identity of visitors. This paper explores the challenges of developing museums and Papuan culture from various perspectives. The discussion also highlights the transformation of museums into Papuan culture and the point of view of ideal conservation and preservation values based on the experiences and views of the group participants. Through qualitative research, the study formed three big themes:  1) Collection and space management; 2) Museum Image; and 3) human resources capacity building and moral responsibility. To improve services in the field of culture, the study suggested that museums in Papua need to think to strengthening museum management collection while providing visiting convenience and increasing support staff in the cultural field
