Abstract

The development of housing that carries Islamic values has grown rapidly in the last 10 years in line with the increasing economic potential and awareness of Muslims to get a conducive environment for families, making developers build housing with Islamic concepts. This study aims to determine Islamic values that are embodied in the area, housing units and determine their influence on the behavior of its inhabitants. The research method used is descriptive analytical, namely revealing facts on objects in the present time. The results showed that the Griya Sakinah Muslim housing applied Islamic values to the area, facilities and housing units, namely the Hablumminallah in the form of a mosque which functions as a worship space and socialization space for residents of housing and local residents. The value of Hablumminannas is manifested in the construction of public facilities in the area and Hablumminalalamien is manifested in the construction of gardens in housing and the form of residential units with tropical architectural concepts in accordance with the local climate and environment. What has not been noticed is the value of death reminders in the form of tombs for residential residents. The new thing found in this study is the role of mosques to overcome social segregation in housing areas with cluster concept and further research needed about hijab in Islamic settlement.

Abstract

Situated at an earthquake prone area, buildings planning in Indonesia must implement earthquake resistant building principles. One of these principles is determining dimensions of columns and beams in the process of architectural designing.This act eventually affects the behaviour of the strong column-weak beam and the probability of bending failure due to soft story. At present time, there are no simple rules architects can use in calculating the dimensions of beams and columns that meet the criteria for strong column-weak beam and non-soft story. This paper is an effort to provide an input to the architects in designing the dimensions of the columns and beams. This research is a review result of three theories namely: 1). The theory of columns and beams preliminary design, 2). The theory of the strong column-weak beam concept, and 3). The theory of soft story and column slenderness. Those theories were then synthesized into a spreadsheet. To meet the criteria for strong column-weak beam and non-soft story, the following procedures must be done : 1). Determine the columns’ dimensions according to 0.15% of the columns’ cumulative tributary area, 2). Determine the beams’ dimensions according to 1/12 of the beams’ span and the beams’ plastic modulus, 3). Determine the columns’ dimensions and the columns’plastic modulus, 4). Determine the columns’ height based on the column slenderness criteria, and 5). Compare the columns plastic modulus and the beams plastic modulus and check whether they meet the criteria “the columns’plastic modulus ≥ 1.2 * the beams’ plastic modulus”.

Abstract

Penelitian atap hijau telah berkembang pada berbagai ragam disiplin ilmu secara mendunia. Namun informasi penelitian dengan tema atap hijau di Indonesia masih terbatas diperoleh, termasuk dari disiplin ilmu arsitektur. Oleh karenanya, sangat penting mengidentifikasi pemetaan penelitian atap hijau dari sudut pandang arsitektur. Tujuan penelitian mengidentifikasi kebaruan penelitian atap hijau yang berpeluang dilakukan di Indonesia. Metode penelitian dengan menggunakan kajian literatur berdasarkan pemetaan melalui Vosviewer dilanjutkan dengan melakukan analisis isi pada sejumlah teori yang telah mengerucut. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa penelitian atap hijau dari sudut pandang arsitektur, masih berpeluang pada penelitian yang menggunakan parameter lokasi berbasis iklim dan kriteria kepadatan, fungsi obyek hunian, inovasi bahan dan teknologi atap hijau yang aplikatif digunakan masyarakat Indonesia.

Abstract

Many cities in the world are geographically located in areas prone to natural disasters. This research is a comparative study that aims to compare the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of these cities in the process towards a resilient city despite having a high level of vulnerability to natural disasters. Some cities which are taken as case studies here show a good level of resilience to the disasters experienced. Case studies from this study are three cities namely Kobe, in Hyogo (Japan), Padang (Indonesia) and Camalig (Philippines) which use qualitative descriptive methods with SWOT analysis techniques. From the three cases studied, it was concluded that all three have the same vulnerability due to geographical location, but these three cities also have the capacity as cities that are resilient to disasters with different strengths of capital, which are able to be counterbalanced from vulnerability to resilience.

Abstract: The conditions of houses in densely populated areas vary, some use brick and Hebel materials. the high density of an area makes air movement not work properly so that the temperature in the area of the region increases and will have an effect on the inner space of the houses in the settlement. therefore the purpose of this study is to find out the type of material that provides thermal comfort in indoor space in densely populated settlements. used in this study is a quantitative method with direct measurements in the field for 11 hours, to find out the temperature, humidity, and air movement, the results will be compared with the theory of thermal comfort standards of mom and wiesebron.Keyword: Thermal Comfort, House Wall, Densely SettlementAbstrak: Kondisi dari rumah-rumah yang berada di daerah padat penduduk bermacam-macam, ada yang menggunakan bahan material batu bata dan juga hebel. Tingginya kepadatan suatu wilayah membuat pergerakan udara menjadi tidak dapat berjalan dengan baik, sehingga suhu pada wilayah wilayah tersebut meningkat dan akan berefek pada ruang dalam dari rumah-rumah yang ada di permukiman tersebut. Oleh karena itu Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui jenis material yang memberikan kenyaman termal pada ruang dalam rumah di permukiman padat penduduk. Metode yang digunakan didalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan pengukuran langsung di lapangan selama 11 jam untuk mengetahui temperature, kelembaban dan pergerakan udara, hasilnya nanti akan dibandingkan dengan teori standar kenyamanan termal Mom dan Wiesebron.Kata Kunci: kenyamanan Termal, dinding rumah, Permukiman padat.

Abstract

Abstract:. Thermal comfort is a state of mind that expresses a user's satisfaction with thermal conditions. This study focuses on the design of natural ventilation which is one of the efforts to reduce the heat that exists in the building, especially in maintaining the thermal conditions. Tawang Train Station, Semarang has a natural ventilation design that is still maintained especially in the waiting room. This study aims to determine the thermal conditions of the design of ventilation using the theory of Mom and Wiseborn, SNI 03-6572-2001, and Olgyay chart. This research method uses quantitative and field measurements were done for 14 hours to know the movement of air, temperature, humidity. The results were then compared with the standard and the theory. It was found that thermal comfort conditions that still utilize the movement of the wind from natural ventilation in the main waiting room of Tawang Semarang Station.Keyword: Thermal Condition, Natural Ventilation, Semarang Tawang Station.Abstrak: Kenyamanan termal merupakan suatu kondisi pikir seseorang yang mengekspresikan kepuasan pengguna terhadap kondisi termal.  Penelitian ini berfokus pada desain penghawaan yang merupakan salah satu upaya mengurangi panas yang ada dalam bangunan terutama dalam menjaga kondisi termal. Stasiun Tawang Semarang, mempunyai desain penghawaan alami yang masih dipertahannkan terutama pada ruang tungguya. Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi termal dari desain penghawaan dengan menggunakan teori mom dan wiseborn, SNI 03-6572-2001, serta grafik olgyay. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif dan pengukuran dilapangan dilakukan selama 14 jam untuk mengetahui pergerakan udara, temperature, kelembaban. Hasil penelitian kemudian di bandingkan dengan standar SNI, Mom & Wiseborn dan Diagram Olgyay. Ditemukan bahwa kondisi kenyamanan termal yang masih memanfaatkan pergerakan angin dari ventilasi alami pada ruang tunggu utama Stasiun Semarang Tawang.Kata Kunci: Kondisi Termal, Ventilasi Alami, Ruang tunggu, Stasiun Semarang Tawang

Abstract

Besarnya jumlah umat Islam khususnya di Semarang serta kecenderungan masyarakat urban (kota) untuk mendapatkan lingkungan dan fasilitas yang kondusif untuk beribadah, pendidikan yang islami merupakan potensi dan peluang bagi pengembang perumhan syariah. Perumahan syariah adalah perumahan yang menerapkan nilai-nilai Islam yaitu habluminallah, hablumminannas dan hablumminal alamien sesuai al quran dan Hadits. Penelitian ini bertujuan mencari penerapan nilai-nilai islam  pada fasilitas perumahan syariah dan menetapkan faktor-faktor yang menjadi pertimbangan developer dalam membangun fasilitas pada  perumahan syariah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitis, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan survey lapangan , sumber sekunder dari internet serta wawancara terstruktur (interview guide). Data yang didapatkan disusun dan dianalisis dengan mencari kesesuaian parameter nilai-nilai islami. Dari analisa didapatkan hasil penelitian bahwa nilai habluminallah diterapkan berupa tempat ibadah di bangun oleh 4 pengembang. Nilai habluminannas berupa   pesantren dibangun oleh 1 pengembang dan ruang terbuka yang direncanakan sebanyak 3 pengembang. Nilai Hablumminal alamien berupa adaptasi dengan alam lingkungan dilakukan oleh semua pengembang perumahan syariah.  Hal-hal yang menjadi pertimbangan dalam pembangunan dibedakan menjadi dua yaitu faktor pendorong terdiri dari niat, menyesuaikan faslitas dengan konsep, dan keberlanjutan pengembangan perumahan. Faktor penghambat, terdiri dari keterbatasan lahan dan jumlah unit rumah, konversi dari perumahan konvesional, kerjasama dengan pemilik lahan, dan pemahaman/rujukan dari asosiasi property syariah.

Abstract

Abstract: The creation of architectural works in tropical climates must be appropriate and responsive to the climate. In its application, it is expected to comply with the criteria for green building design requirements in SNI 03-6389-2011 and Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Number: 21 of 2021 concerning Green Building Performance Assessment, namely that the overall heat transfer value of the building envelope does not exceed 35 W/m2. The choice of material used in the building envelope affects the amount of heat transfer value in a building. The building envelope of the Polytechnic of Furniture Industry and Wood Processing Campus Education Building on all four sides are dominated by Asahimas green stopsol reflective glass material with a glass thickness of 8 mm and conwood material in several parts. The amount of heat transfer value is analyzed using quantitative research methods with the calculation of OTTV (Overall Thermall Transfer Value). From the analysis, it is known that the overall OTTV value of the building is 54,94 W/m2, so it does not meet the criteria for green building design requirements. It is necessary to make retrofit design efforts to reduce the OTTV value in order to achieve OTTV value as mentioned in the SNI 03-6389-2011 and Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Number: 21 of 2021.Abstrak: Pembuatan karya arsitektur di iklim tropis harus tepat dan responsif terhadap iklim. Dalam penerapannya diharapkan sesuai dengan kriteria persyaratan perancangan bangunan hijau pada SNI 03-6389-2011 dan Permen PUPR RI Nomor: 21 Tahun 2021 tentang Penilaian Kinerja Bangunan Gedung Hijau, yaitu bahwa nilai transfer panas menyeluruh pada selubung bangunan tidak melebihi 35 W/m2. Pemilihan jenis material yang digunakan pada selubung bangunan berpengaruh terhadap nilai transfer panas pada suatu bangunan. Selubung bangunan Gedung Pendidikan Kampus Politeknik Industri Furnitur dan Pengolahan Kayu pada keempat sisinya didominasi material kaca reflektif stopsol green Asahimas dengan ketebalan kaca 8 mm dan material conwood di beberapa bagian. Untuk mengetahui besarnya nilai transfer panas dilakukan analisa menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan perhitungan OTTV (Overall Thermall Transfer Value). Dari hasil analisa diketahui bahwa nilai OTTV keseluruhan bangunan sebesar 54,94 W/m2, sehingga tidak memenuhi kriteria persyaratan perancangan bangunan hijau. Perlu dilakukan upaya retrofit desain untuk menurunkan nilai OTTV tersebut agar mencapai nilai OTTV sesuai SNI 03-6389-2011 dan Permen PUPR RI Nomor: 21 Tahun 2021.

Abstract

Kampung Kulitan is located in the Jagalan area, Central Semarang. This village is the forerunner of the Tasripin Kingdom which holds high historical value. The historical value is the Tasripin family home that has not been changed or renovated since its inception. Formerly Tasripin was the one who controlled the land in the Kampung Kulitan area. These houses are historical evidence of the glory of Semarang in the past. To protect the historical value of Kampung Kulitan, Semarang City Government has established the village as a tourist village with the theme of the old village with the Tasripin family house which became the cultural heritage asset in Kampung Kulitan. This study aims to determine how much influence the indis architecture has on the facade appearance of buildings in Kampung Kulitan. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection is done using observations in the field. Observations on objects are supported by interviews with homeowners or other sources who are aware of the development of Kampung Kulitan residential area. The results of data collection are analyzed with the theories concerned about the indis architecture and the appearance of the building. The results of this study indicate that cultural acculturation has occurred, especially the Indis architecture in the form of building facades in Kampung Kulitan. This makes housing in Kampung Kulitan very unique and requires accuracy in its rehabilitation.

Abstract

Abstrak_Konsep arsitektur sadar energi mempertimbangkan efisiensi dan konservasi sumber daya alam dalam proses merancang, diantaranya dengan implementasi bangunan hijau. Kinerja desain pada bangunan hijau dipengaruhi oleh konsistensi pelaku utama pembangunan yakni pemerintah, perencana, perancang/arsitek, dan masyarakat pengguna. Komitmen mempertahankan desain hijau dapat berjalan berkesinambungan manakala terbentuk pola hubungan peran dan desain yang saling mendukung. Penelitian bertujuan mengidentifikasi hubungan desain dengan peran masyarakat untuk keberlanjutan bangunan hijau. Lokasi penelitian merupakan representasi karakter kota di Indonesia, yakni Kota Surakarta. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan induktif melalui survei lapangan. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui pengamatan lapangan, wawancara dan kuisioner dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara peran masyarakat dengan keberlanjutan desain bangunan hijau, dimana terdapat respon yang berbeda pada desain yang mengakomodasi peran masyarakat dan adanya kontribusi yang berbeda dari tingkat ekonomi masyarakat untuk mendukung keberlanjutan desain hijau.Kata kunci : Desain; Peran Masyarakat; Keberlanjutan; Bangunan Hijau Abstract_The concept of energy-conscious architecture considers the efficiency and conservation of natural resources in the design process, including the implementation of green buildings. Design performance in green buildings is influenced by the consistency of the main actors of development, namely the government, planners, designers/architects, and the user community. Commitment to maintaining a green design can run continuously when a role and design relationship pattern is formed that supports each other. The research aimed to identify design relationships with the role of the community for the sustainability of green buildings. The research location was a representation of the character of cities in Indonesia, namely the City of Surakarta. The study used qualitative methods with an inductive approach through field surveys. Data collection was obtained through field observations, interviews and questionnaires with purposive sampling technique. The results of the research indicated that there was  a relationship between the role of the community and the sustainability of green building design, where there were different responses to the design that accommodate the role of the community and the existence of different contributions from the economic level of the community to support the sustainability of the green design.Keywords: Design in Architectu;, Community Participator;  Sustainability;  Green Building
