Abstract

Perguruan tinggi mengemban tiga pilar utama, yaitu menyelenggarakan pendidikan dan pengajaran, penelitian dan pengembangan serta pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dikenal sebagai Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Program Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat dikembangkan oleh berbagai universitas dan lembaga penelitian di Indonesia guna memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi pembangunan kesejahteraan dan kemajuan bangsa Indonesia, khususnya bangsa Indonesia. Pengabdian Pada masyarakat merupakan bagian dari tridharma perguruan tinggi yang bertujuan untuk menunjang berbagai kegiatan pada suatu masyarakat tertentu tanpa mengharapkan imbalan apa pun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh program Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat terhadap pengembangan modal sosial mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (P2M) sangat membantu membangun hubungan yang kuat antara mahasiswa dan warga desa setempat dengan berbagai pihak di lingkungan sekitar. Program Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (P2M) dapat memberikan wawasan serta pengalaman melalui keterlibatan secara langsung dengan berbagai pihak di lingkungan sekitarnya sehingga mempengaruhi modal sosial mahasiswa. Selain itu, program yang dilaksanakan telah memberikan kontribusi dan aktivitas mahasiswa yang sangat baik serta terdapat timbal balik yang positif antara mahasiswa dan masyarakat desa.

Abstract

Communication is an integral part of human life that allows the exchange of information, ideas and feelings between individuals. Social skills in communication have a major role in forming effective and meaningful interactions. In these situations, the use of polite words such as apologize, please, and thank you has proven to be an important element in creating healthy and harmonious social relations. This study aims to determine how far social skills are in communicating through polite characters, namely the use of the words sorry, please, and thank you. The research approach used was qualitative with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques used observation and questionnaires as data collection instruments. Observation and questionnaire data analysis techniques and research subjects were active students of Social Studies Education at the Indonesian University of Education. The results of the study show that the character of politeness plays an important role in communicating with someone. In addition, politeness also makes a significant contribution in building empathy and solidarity between individuals. On the other hand, the use of the word thank you is considered as an expression of respect and appreciation for the efforts or assistance provided by others. This article provides further understanding of how important social skills are in communicating through the character of courtesy. The implications of this research can inspire individuals to pay more attention to the importance of social skills in everyday interactions.

Abstract

The reasoning and motivating to create this research by the low participation of the family and the community in supporting the academics of students. For this reason, it is necessary to have a school-family partnership to improve the quality of Indonesian education, one of which is on children's learning outcomes. This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the family-school partnership on on character and the mental recovery of students. The research was conducted using a survey method with the population in this study including students, parents, and teachers at junior high schools throughout the city of Bandung. So, the samples that can be taken are 434 junior high school students in Bandung City, 256 students' parents, and 51 teachers and school authorities. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and data analysis using percentage, correlation and regression techniques. The results of the study show that: 1) students display sufficient impacts such as stress in learning due to the Covid 19 pandemic; 2) The proposed form of school-family partnership is in the form of a digital network under the name SCOLA FAMILIA; 3) there is a significant influence between the implementation of school-family partnerships on student character and recovery. This shows the effectiveness of the family-school partnership on students' character and mental recovery.

Abstract

Today, the behavior of the younger generation is characterized by a tendency to ignore problems that make a lack of critical thinking, problem solving, and lack of relevant digital skills such as media literacy, critical evaluation of information and productive use of technology which causes a lack of student skills in adapting. This problem of behavioral and character degradation is a challenge for Civics learning. Civics learning needs a new nuance to emphasize limited material but there needs to be material and learning that is sustainable throughout life. So, there needs to be civic skill development through digital learning with a touch of SDGs values. This research aims to develop sustainable digital learning with perceived outcomes can improve students' Civic Skills... The research approach used is a quantitative approach with a correlational method with a sample of FTV students who contract Civic Education courses at the Indonesian Education University. Data collection techniques with questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the Sustainability Digital Learning Model in Civics Learning can improve civic skills, such as intellectual skills and participation skills.

Abstract

The moral intelligence development is becoming critical in equipping adolescents to be able to address the twenty first century ethical, societal and global challenges. This research analyzes the moral intelligence of high-school pupils in Bandung who are in their senior years with emphasis to four major aspects, which include integrity, responsibility, self-control and empathy. The quantitative design was conducted by use of a validated questionnaire that was administered at different grades. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive summaries, reliability test, confirmatory factor analysis, and inferential statistics conducted on the data (correlation and regression) to map the moral intelligence profiles of the students. The results have shown that the total moral intelligence is high, and empathy and self-control were found as the strongest areas, whereas integrity and responsibility exhibited lower scores. Internal consistency was measured by reliability and validity which confirmed that moral intelligence is multidimensional. The correlation analysis indicated that there were some significant interrelations between the dimensions, and regression indicated that empathy and self-control were the most effective predictors of the orientation of the students towards the global citizenship. There were also gender disparities in that female students scored higher in empathy whereas males exhibited a margin of self-control. Students were less consistent with regard to responsibility and integrity despite high sensitivity and behavioral regulation. The paper also identifies the necessity of experiential and digitally enriched, including service learning, digital citizenship programs, to reinforce weaker aspects and contribute to responsible and ethical involvement in the global environment.

Abstract

According to 21st Century Skills, creativity is one of the competencies needed in all aspects of life. In addition, the 21st century requires all aspects to be based on technology, especially in education. However, in reality students' creativity skills are still low and the use of technology is still limited. Based on this problem, the purpose of a research in this paper is to describe of students’ creativity skills after using an application Capcut. This research design is classroom action research (CAR). This research result that there was an increase in each cycle. The observation results of the students’ creativity in the first cycle got a percentage 50% which means quite good category, in the second cycle got a percentage 75% which means good category, and in third cycle got a percentage 95% which means good category. Based on this research, it was found that the use of Capcut application can improve students’ creativity skills in social studies learning.

Abstract

Students’ computational thinking skills in higher education remain relatively low, particularly in learning contexts that require problem decomposition, abstraction, and systematic problem solving. This condition highlights the need for innovative learning approaches that actively engage students through digital technology. This study aims to develop an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based interactive digital game project in Social Studies learning to enhance students’ computational thinking skills. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) design involving a preliminary study, conceptual model development, validation, revision, and implementation. The research population consisted of undergraduate students enrolled in Social Studies Education courses at an Indonesian university, from whom 60 were selected using purposive sampling based on their participation in project-based learning activities. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and field notes. Qualitative data were analysed using interactive analysis techniques, while quantitative data were examined using Pearson correlation and simple linear regression. The findings reveal that student involvement in AI-based interactive digital game development projects positively influences computational thinking skills, including decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking. These results indicate that integrating AI into project-based learning effectively supports the development of essential 21st-century skills.

Abstract

Teachers often face several challenges in developing instructional materials, which can impact graduate profiles. The objective of this training is to enhance graduate profiles by implementing AI-based deep learning for social studies teachers. The community service program was implemented using an inductive approach in two phases: direct and indirect training, targeting social studies teachers who are members of the Social Studies teachers’ working group (MGMP IPS) in Bandung City, West Java. The training results indicate that AI-based deep learning through chatbots can integrate the principles of mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning, thereby creating a meaningful learning experience. The success of learning depends on teachers’ attention to students’ potential to ensure an efficient learning process, support self-development, and shape character. The training was conducted continuously by encouraging Social Studies teachers to plan, implement, reflect on, and select learning models, methods, and strategies appropriate to students’ characteristics and curriculum requirements. The outcome of this training is the development of graduate profile dimensions encompassing faith, piety, citizenship, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, independence, health, and communication—all resulting from deep social studies learning oriented toward strengthening national character.    Abstrak Sering kali ditemukan guru menghadapi beberapa tantangan dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran, sehingga dapat berpengaruh pada profil lulusan. Tujuan pelatihan ini adalah untuk mengembangkan profil lulusan melalui penerapan deep learning berbasis AI bagi guru-guru IPS. Program pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan induktif dalam dua tahap, yaitu pelatihan langsung dan tidak langsung, dengan sasaran guru IPS yang tergabung dalam MGMP IPS di Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran mendalam berbasis AI melalui chatbot mampu mengintegrasikan prinsip mindful, meaningful, dan joyful learning sehingga menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna. Keberhasilan pembelajaran bergantung pada perhatian guru terhadap potensi murid agar proses belajar efisien, mendukung pengembangan diri, serta membentuk karakter. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan dengan mendorong guru IPS untuk merencanakan, melaksanakan, merefleksikan, dan memilih model, metode, serta strategi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik murid dan tuntutan kurikulum. Hasil akhir dari pelatihan ini mengembangkan dimensi profil lulusan yang mencakup keimanan, ketakwaan, kewargaan, penalaran kritis, kreativitas, kolaborasi, kemandirian, kesehatan, dan komunikasi merupakan hasil dari pembelajaran mendalam IPS yang berorientasi pada penguatan karakter bangsa. Abstract

This research aims to develop and systematically evaluate a Civic Sustainability-integrated Civic Education learning model designed to cultivate students' Green Citizenship awareness within the digital era. The proposed pedagogical framework synthesises core civic concepts with contemporary sustainability imperatives, employing gamified project-based learning, interactive digital media, and comprehensive, authentic assessments to rigorously evaluate student processes, academic outcomes, and deliverables. Employing a quantitative correlational design, empirical data were gathered via a structured questionnaire administered to a cohort of 65 students at the Indonesia University of Education. Statistical analyses, including simple linear regression and Pearson's correlation coefficient, were conducted to assess the relationship between the model's implementation and increased environmental consciousness. The results yielded a statistically significant positive correlation (r = 0.580, p < 0.01) and a coefficient of determination (R² = 0.336), indicating that 33.6% of the variance in Green Citizenship awareness is directly attributable to the instructional model. These findings substantiate the efficacy of the Civic Sustainability-based paradigm in fostering ecological awareness, pro-environmental attitudes, and the capacity for active, responsible digital citizenship. Ultimately, this framework presents a strategic educational innovation within higher education, significantly contributing to the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and cultivating a generation profoundly committed to sustainability.
