Abstract

Abstract

Chilli is one of the most widely cultivated crops in the NTB region, including in Kwang Rundun Village, East Lombok Regency. Farmers' understanding of pest and disease control is needed to improve the quality, quantity and production of chilli. The socialisation of pest and disease control in chilli plants is a form of student contribution in introducing and providing an understanding of pest and disease control in chilli plants. The method of activities carried out in community service has three stages, namely the observation stage, the discussion stage, and the socialisation stage. The farmers gained a thorough understanding of chilli cultivation starting from the seed selection process, how to control pests and diseases to the harvest process. It is hoped that socialisation activities can be held again with different types of cultivated plants because farmers in Kwang Rundun Village do not only cultivate chilli plants.

Abstract

Background: Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) causes skin lesions, decreased milk production, and death in livestock such as cows. Objective: The purpose of this study is to detect LSD disease quickly and accurately using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) MobileNetV2 method based on android application. Method: This study uses a quantitative method with a reuse-oriented development approach and the MobileNetV2 algorithm trained with augmentation data and LSD disease image classification. Result: The results of this study are that the MobileNetV2 classification model is able to detect LSD with an accuracy of 95.91%. The developed application makes it easier for farmers to detect diseases early so that they can accelerate preventive measures. Conclusion: The implications of this study indicate that the MobileNetV2 model can improve the effectiveness of disease detection in livestock and can be applied in animal health applications in the field.

Abstract

In today's digital era, any task or problem can be solved with minimal effort, especially in livestock identification such as cattle. Numerous systems and algorithms have been developed to recognize cattle, ranging from body shape, fur patterns, to specific parts of the cattle. This research aims to develop a cattle muzzle identification system using convolutional neural networks method with Alexnet architecture and to identify the factors that can decrease the accuracy of prediction results. The results of this research can help cattle farmers manage their livestock data more effectively, as traditional identification methods can cause discomfort and stress to the cattle. This research also serves as a reference for future researchers in developing cattle recognition research. Additionally, this research can be used to support insurance programs such as Cattle Farming Insurance (AUTS) to protect farmers from losses due to cattle theft and death. Cattle recognition through their muzzles using the CNN method can produce relatively high results. By slightly modifying the AlexNet architecture, this system can recognize cattle with an accuracy of 85%..

Abstract

During the post-pandemic or endemic period, the government continues to recommend the use of masks and maintenance of hygiene when engaging in activities outside the home. This extends to activities on the campus of the University of Mataram, particularly in the electrical engineering computer laboratory, where students are consistently encouraged to wear masks. To streamline activities in the laboratory, a Mask Detection System using the Haar Cascade Classifier (HCC) Method integrated with a Telegram Bot has been tested. The trial implementation aims to instill discipline among students in mask usage. This system was developed using Visual Studio Code and Python 3.10 tools, with image data input from a webcam. The HCC method is employed to detect students wearing masks or not in the laboratory, utilizing webcam-captured image data. Subsequently, the Telegram bot sends images if individuals are identified wearing masks. The study results demonstrate the system's capability to detect masks within a range of 30 cm to 120 cm. The warning feature, consisting of recorded images of students wearing masks sent via the Telegram bot, operates effectively.

Abstract

The use of innovative multimedia technology continues to evolve and has now become a primary technology tool in education. Currently, the utilization of virtual reality (VR) technology is being used as an immersive medium for learning, especially in the field of medicine. Immersive technology is presented in 3D visualization, approaching real and relevant objects in medical education as an alternative to traditional teaching aids such as cadavers. In this research, an exploration of the VR environment was conducted in a case study of the skeletal system using 3D skull bone objects. The exploration involved tasks such as preparing the 3D skull bone object data assets in the 3D development environment, exporting data assets to the 3D-VR environment, and configuring aspects related to visualization and object control based on visual C#. So far, documentation of the 3D-VR application development environment and the trial results of the case study object development on the Unity platform have been produced. Additionally, documentation of the interface design application using Rapid Application Development (RAD) has also been generated. The Android-based VR application has functioned well in accommodating the skull object, designed with 3 layers of the skeletal system adjusted to their respective depths. The skull consists of 22 components, including cranium.

Abstract

The growing need for remote operation in risky situations has encouraged the use of robots that can be controlled from virtual environments. Integrating digital twin and virtual reality offers a way to monitor and control physical systems in three dimensional space. However, many existing implementations still depend on expensive robotic hardware and closed-loop control, while digital twin and virtual reality in open-loop mode is rarely reported and still faces the lack of feedback and the risk of mismatch between virtual motion and physical motion. This study proposes an experimental digital twin and virtual reality framework built on lightweight hardware to control a 4-DoF robotic arm using Arduino and PCA9685, with Unity acting both as the digital twin environment and as the source of kinematic commands. Method covers integration design, calibration of Unity angle to PWM mapping, execution on servos, and preparation of data to compare virtual joint angles with measured servo angles. Testing and validation were carried out through stepwise rotation of the ‘Base’, ‘Shoulder’, ‘Elbow’, and ‘End-effector’ joints to evaluate how well the physical motion followed the virtual model. Results show that the right and left ‘Base’ joints achieved small mean errors of -1.60 and 1.8 degrees, with variance of 1.35 and 1.62. The ‘Elbow-down’ motion was also accurate with a mean error of 1.43 degrees and a variance of 0.98. The largest deviation occurred in the ‘Shoulder’ joint, at -10.67 and 26.5 degrees. These findings confirm that open-loop digital twin and virtual reality control is feasible for low-cost platforms.
