Abstract

Currently, many teaching resources have not fully understood how to write and submit to a journal. This can be attributed to various factors, such as a lack of training or experience in journal writing, a greater focus on teaching or research activities, or limited opportunities to engage in journal writing communities. Therefore, this workshop aims to enhance the capacity of teaching resources in writing and publishing research and community service in national journals. The implementation method consists of preparation, activity execution, mentoring, and evaluation stages. The results of the activity evaluation show that 80% of participants have improved their abilities to comprehend the structure of scientific journals, writing ethics, effective writing techniques, and 100% of participants are capable of drafting journals according to environmental style guidelines. Measured capacity development of teaching resources enables them to write journals in accordance with the guidelines of each publisher, avoiding rejection. Furthermore, the ability to understand the Open Journal System (OJS) application during submission is essential for teaching resources to publish in nationally accredited journals.

Abstract

Abstract

The issue of sustainable development is a major challenge in regional development planning, including in Malang City. This study aims to evaluate the impact of increasing human resource capacity on the effectiveness of implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on integrating strategic planning and developing the competencies of civil servants through a Corporate University approach. Using a quantitative method with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) analysis techniques, this study analyzes the relationships between variables from data collected through a survey of civil servants in the Malang City Government. The results indicate that HR capacity building significantly contributes to achieving SDG targets. Furthermore, strategic planning and implementing the Corporate University approach are mediating variables that strengthen this relationship. This study highlights the importance of transforming the civil servant training system from a classical model to a sustainable and adaptive strategic learning system. These findings have policy implications for local governments in designing more targeted competency development strategies relevant to organizational needs and aligned with sustainable development agendas. Employing the Structural Equation Model (SEM) to analyze the interrelations among contraceptive use, parity, stunting, and sustainable development. Data collection in this study used documentation and questionnaires at the district and subdistrict levels. The findings highlight that while parity intervention through family planning education did not significantly influence sustainable development (Tvalue = 0.050), interventions aimed at stunting prevention through family planning education significantly contributed to sustainable development goals (Tvalues of 8.402 and 2.758, respectively). Additionally, the direct impact of family planning education on sustainable development was moderately significant (Tvalue = 1.740), suggesting the nuanced role of contraceptive methods in achieving broader development objectives. The study concludes that integrated family planning education and stunting prevention strategies are vital for sustainable development in Bojonegoro, contributing significantly to the discourse on public health and development policy. This research underscores the importance of tailored interventions in family planning education and health education as a means to foster sustainable development, offering valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders in similar socio-economic contexts.

Abstract

Forest ecosystems experience pressure and degradation of environmental services, which is thought to be due to community activities such as land conversion for economic purposes. In previous research at the same location, there was still no calculation of the willingness to pay for environmental services from visiting tourists. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the value of tourists' willingness to pay, which can be used for the management and development of tourist areas. This research uses CVM (Contingent Valuation Method) to estimate the costs that will be incurred by the community, particularly visitors. The results of research through surveys show that the public's perception of Bedengan Selorejo provides an overview of the most dominant tourist attributes, namely: attractions, accessibility, and amenities. The estimated size of the community's WTP (Willingness To Pay) for the value of the existence of a forest ecosystem is IDR. 450,208,000/month. The recommendation based on the results obtained is that this value can be used for the development and management of the Bedengan Selorejo tourist area in Malang Regency, ensuring that the ecosystem and facilities of this tourist attraction are well-maintained.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the institutional and government readiness and identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats along with strategies to realize a green city in Malang City. Qualitative research methods in the form of SWOT analysis were used by involving informants from the State Civil Apparatus at the Regional Development Planning Agency and the Environmental Service of Malang City. The results of the study indicate that the institutional in Malang City is still weak, marked by the absence of a multidisciplinary working group for a green city. In addition, government readiness is still low due to lack of concern, a conventional "business as usual" work system, and weak law enforcement. Recommended strategies include the formation of a multidisciplinary working group, increasing green knowledge and awareness through green campaigns, circular economy, information transparency, and the implementation of rewards and punishments. Environmental awareness and high commitment from the government and collaboration between stakeholders are requirements to realize a Green City in Malang City.

Abstract

Bedengan Forest Ecotourism, Malang Regency is one of sustainable tourism destinations, a tourism area that is environmentally friendly and based on ecology which is managed by Lembaga Kemitraan Desa Pengelola Hutan/Forest Management Village Partnership Institute (LKDPH). This research discusses about community especially tourist motivation to participate through environmental investments that have an impact on preserving the forest environment in Bedengan. The objectives of this research are to find out the priority tourist attributes of Bedengan Forest Ecotourism and estimating the value of the community's Willingness to Pay (WTP) for retribution. The analytical methods used quantitative descriptive and contingent valuation method. The research results show that the community feels that the quality of the environment is better with the existence of a conservation area so they are willing to make environmental investments; the community prioritize cheaper price as a tourist attribute that attracts them to revisit Bedengan forest ecotourism; and the community's WTP retribution (entrance ticket) is IDR 44,500 per person. The results of calculation show that the community WTP  has increased from the initial retribution set by LKDPH. The results of this research can be used as an evaluation material for LKDPH to continue maintain tourism development policies by paying attention to environmental, social and economic sustainability.
