Abstract

This research study aims to find out how effective the implementation of the TTW model with the help of Vekbal's digital media in improving the ability of students in class V of SDN Mangunrejo 2 in solving problems. This type of research uses a quantitative approach to pre-experimental design, using one group pretest-posttest design. This study used 20 students in class V as a population and was sampled using exhaustive sampling. Data is collected with observation, interviews, documentation, and description questions. Data was analysed with validity test, prerequisite test using normality test and N-Gain statistical test with SPSS 25. The research obtained the results of the N-Gain Score test showed an increase in the student's ability to solve problems with an average score of 0.6525 which is categorised as medium. Meanwhile, N-Gain percent obtained an average of 65,2485 which was interpreted quite effectively. According to the research results, it can be concluded that the use of the TTW model with the help of Vekbal digital media is quite effective in improving the ability of class V students of SDN Mangunrejo 2 in solving mathematical problems.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the extent to which student learning outcomes in IPAS subjects improve when using a guided inquiry learning model assisted by SIGAR (Simulation of Earth's Rotation and Revolution) teaching materials in chapter 5 topic B. The method used is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, involving 14 sixth-grade students. Observations, interviews, and essay tests were used to collect data. The results of the study showed that the data had a normal distribution, with a t-test value of 0.000 < 0.05 (Ha accepted), and an n-gain of 0.82 (indicating a high category), indicating that student learning outcomes had increased by 82.15%. Therefore, the guided inquiry model assisted by SIGAR teaching materials is effective in improving students' learning outcomes for IPAS because it can encourage active student participation and help develop critical thinking skills. Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika sekolah dasar membutuhkan pengalaman belajar yang visual, interaktif, dan kontekstual agar siswa dapat memahami konsep abstrak, termasuk pengukuran sudut. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan Ruang Murid sebagai sumber belajar digital dalam pembelajaran pengukuran sudut berbasis konteks lokal Menara Kudus pada siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek 16 siswa kelas V SD Negeri 3 Bae. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi umum, observasi aktivitas kelompok, wawancara semi-terstruktur, lembar refleksi siswa, catatan lapangan, dokumentasi, rubrik analisis LKPD, dan asesmen individu sebagai data pendukung. Pembelajaran dilaksanakan melalui model Problem Based Learning yang mencakup apersepsi berbasis gambar Menara Kudus, eksplorasi materi melalui Ruang Murid, latihan digital pada Lab Maya, pengerjaan LKPD, diskusi kelompok, presentasi, asesmen, dan refleksi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan, dan triangulasi teknik. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Ruang Murid membantu siswa memperoleh gambaran awal mengenai konsep dan prosedur pengukuran sudut, sedangkan Lab Maya memperkuat latihan membaca sudut secara digital sebelum praktik manual. LKPD Menara Kudus menghubungkan konsep matematika dengan objek budaya lokal yang dekat dengan pengalaman siswa. Kendala utama meliputi ketelitian membaca skala busur derajat, perbedaan hasil pengukuran, dan pengelolaan penggunaan perangkat digital. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi sumber belajar digital, konteks lokal, dan bimbingan prosedural untuk mendukung pembelajaran matematika yang aktif, bermakna, dan kontekstual.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif, desain pre-eksperimental dengan pola One Group Pretest-Posttest. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah kelas V SD 1 Pasuruhan Kidul yang berjumlah 16 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu lembar wawancara, lembar observasi, lembar dokumentasi, dan lembar tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan SPSS 25 meliputi uji paired sample t test dan uji n-gain. Hasil uji paired sample t test memperlihatkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest dengan nilai signifikasi 0,000 < 0,05 yang mengindikasikan bahwa model dan media pembelajaran yang diterapkan berpengaruh. Sementara itu, hasil uji n-gain menunjukkan skor kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sebesar 0,87 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dan nilai n-gain persen sebesar 87% dengan tafsiran efektif.

Abstract

This study was conducted to address the low level of student learning activeness in IPAS learning on the topic of atmospheric layers in Grade V at SD 6 Gondangmanis. Based on preliminary observations, only 2 out of 6 students actively participated in the learning process, while the remaining 4 students tended to be passive during classroom activities. The purpose of this study was to describe students' learning activeness through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in IPAS learning on the topic of atmospheric layers. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design The participants of this study were six Grade V students of SD 6 Gondangmanis. Data were gathered through observations, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model, which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that students' learning activeness was reflected in their participation in asking and answering questions, engaging in discussions, collaborating in groups, completing project tasks, and presenting project results. Project-based learning also created a collaborative learning environment and provided students with opportunities to be directly involved in the learning process. The study concludes that the Project Based Learning model facilitates the emergence of various forms of student learning activeness in IPAS learning on the topic of atmospheric layers in elementary school.

Abstract

This study addresses the low mathematical problem-solving ability of Grade 5 students at SD 2 Bae, Kudus, on angle topics, evidenced by a pre-cycle class average of 35.46 and a 6.7% classical mastery rate. The objective of this research is to improve students' mathematical problem-solving ability and teacher teaching skills through a Discovery Learning model assisted by Scout semaphore ethnomathematics. The semaphore signaling system, in which each of the 26 letters (A-Z) forms a geometrically measurable angle (45°, 90°, 135°, 180°), bridges cultural scouting practice and formal mathematical concepts of angles. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) study employed the Kemmis and McTaggart cyclical model across two cycles with 15 Grade-5 students as subjects. Data were collected through Polya-based problem-solving tests, teacher teaching skill observation sheets (8 indicators, 13 items), semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Results showed significant improvement: class average increased from 35.46 (pre-cycle) to 85.0 (Cycle II); classical mastery rose from 6.7% to 93.3%, surpassing the ≥75% success indicator; and all four Polya indicators reached 'good' or 'very good' by Cycle II. Teacher teaching skills improved from 76.9% (fairly good) to 84.6% (good), exceeding the ≥79% target. These findings confirm that ethnomathematics-integrated Discovery Learning effectively develops mathematical problem-solving competence while promoting culturally responsive mathematics instruction.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the teams games tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by the radio-quest game in improving students’ learning outcomes in IPAS. The research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The participants were all 20 sixth-grade students of SD 2 Bae. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and written tests in the form of pretest and posttest. Data analysis was conducted using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the average pretest score was 65, while the average posttest score increased to 84.5. The N-Gain score obtained was 0.5707, which is categorized as a moderate improvement, while the N-Gain percentage was 57.0685, indicating that the learning model was sufficiently effective. The analysis of cognitive indicators (C1–C6) also showed a moderate increase in all aspects. These findings indicate that the application of the teams games tournament model assisted by the radio-quest game is sufficiently effective in improving the IPAS learning outcomes of sixth-grade students at SD 2 Bae.

Abstract

21st-century learning demands a classroom environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. Therefore, teachers need to implement classroom management strategies that are more adaptive and responsive to students' needs. This study aims to describe effective classroom management strategies for improving the quality of learning in MI Muslimat NU Demak, focusing on managing the physical environment, strengthening behavioral regulation through positive discipline, and utilizing learning-supporting technology. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including classroom observations, teacher interviews, and document analysis. The results indicate that flexible classroom management and the implementation of teacher-student interactions oriented toward emotional support can increase student engagement, independence, and behavioral regulation. The use of interactive evaluation media also strengthens learning motivation and creates a participatory classroom climate. These findings confirm that the integration of classroom management strategies and technological innovation can significantly improve the quality of learning in elementary schools. This study provides practical implications for teachers in designing effective, adaptive classrooms that meet the demands of 21st-century competencies.

Abstract

Science education at the elementary school level requires a connection between students' direct experiences and scientific concepts in order to create meaningful understanding. Although the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model has been widely implemented to improve learning outcomes, most studies still focus on the core stage of learning and do not clearly emphasize strengthening the early phase as a systematic strategy to prepare students' cognition. This gap is the background for this study, which aims to evaluate the novelty of Praener (energy practices) as reinforcement of the early phase in the CTL model to build initial schemas and conceptual bridges before the implementation of core learning. This study aims to analyze the use of Praener in the CTL model on the science learning outcomes of third-grade students regarding the introduction to energy forms. The method used was a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design involving 23 third-grade students at SD 4 Gondangmanis in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using a paired sample t-test and N-Gain test. The results of the study showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores, with an average increase from 48.95 to 83.65 and an N-Gain score of 0.6948, which is classified as moderate (quite effective). This improvement occurred evenly across cognitive levels C1 to C6 and was particularly high in process skills. These findings confirm that Praener is effective in strengthening cognitive readiness and have practical implications for teachers, who can systematically integrate early experiences into CTL learning to make it more contextual and meaningful.

Abstract

This classroom action research was conducted to analyze the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD 3 Peganjaran, Kudus. The study followed four key stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, involving 12 students. Data collection techniques included teacher interviews, observations of student and teacher learning activities, and test assessments to measure student achievement based on a minimum competency indicator of ≥ 70. The findings revealed a significant improvement in student mastery, increasing from 50% in the pre-cycle to 66.7% in cycle 1, and reaching 100% in cycle 2. Since students’ learning outcomes met the classical mastery threshold of 75%, the Problem-Based Learning method was proven to be effective in enhancing student achievement, fostering critical thinking, and promoting active learning. Moreover, the study demonstrated that PBL encourages students to engage more deeply with learning materials, collaborate with peers, and develop problem-solving skills. Thus, the PBL model not only improves learning outcomes but also actively cultivates critical thinking skills, which are essential for shaping students' analytical and creative reasoning abilities.
