Abstract

Abstract Vehicle fuel consumption is a significant factor in the modeling and estimation of vehicle operating costs and traffic congestion cost. However, studies on vehicle fuel consumption models on the road are still very limited. This study aims to build a model of the vehicle fuel consumption, particularly light vehicles. Models built are those relating vehicle speed and fuel consumption. Measurement of vehicle speed and fuel consumption was conducted on 2 road segments in the City of Makassar, which represents the free flow speed condition and the heterogeneous traffic speed condition. Using second order polynomial model, it is found that there is significant relationship between fuel consumption and vehicle speed. Comparing model curves obtained from this study with model curves obtained from ITB LAPI and PCI models shows that the models in this study is more fuel efficient than the previous two models. Keywords: fuel consumption, light vehicle, road, heterogeneous traffic  Abstrak Konsumsi bahan bakar kendaraan merupakan suatu faktor signifikan dalam pemodelan dan estimasi biaya operasional kendaraan dan biaya kemacetan lalulintas. Namun demikian studi model konsumsi bahan bakar kendaraan di jalan masih sangat terbatas. Studi ini bertujuan membangun suatu model konsumsi bahan bakar kendaraan, khususnya kendaraan ringan. Model yang dibangun merupakan model hubungan antara kecepatan kendaraan dan konsumsi bahan bakar minyak. Pengukuran kecapatan kendaraan dan konsumsi BBM dilakukan pada 2 ruas jalan di Kota Makassar yang merepresentasikan kondisi kecepatan arus bebas dan kondisi kecepatan lalulintas heterogen. Dengan menggunakan model polinomial dengan orde 2 diperoleh model hubungan yang cukup signifikan antara konsumsi BBM dengan kecepatan kendaraan. Perbandingan kurva model yang diperoleh dari studi ini dengan kurva-kurva model LAPI ITB dan model PCI memperlihatkan bahwa model penggunaan BBM hasil studi ini lebih efisien dibandingkan dengan 2 model terdahulu tersebut. Kata-kata kunci: konsumsi bahan bakar, kendaraan ringan, jalan, lalulintas heterogen

Abstract

The present study aims to investigate the characteristics of motorcyclist in Makassar City, Indonesia, as well as to analyze the motorcyclist’s preference in utilizing helmet SNI for both sides, policy and comfortability. The study conducted data collection in a primary arterial road in the city using interview survey method based on a questionnaire instrument. We adopted statistically descriptive, and multi-nomial logit model approach in order to assess the significant level of the motorcyclist characteristics on their preferences in using helmet SNI. The results show that age and education of the motorcyclists have become two significant variable which influence their preference, not only for policy, but also for comfortability in utilizing the helmet. The results provide a basic information which useful in deriving a policy on traffic management measures for motorcyclist in Makassar City, and generally in Indonesia. Studi bertujuan menginvestigasi karakteristik pengendara sepeda motor di Kota Makassar dan menganalisis preferensinya terhadap penggunaan Helm SNI, baik dari sisi kebijakan maupun dari sisi kenyamanannya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan di salah satu ruas jalan arteri utama di di Kota Makassar dengan menggunakan metode survei wawancara berbasis instrument kuesioner. Pendekatan analisis data statistik deskriptif dan lebih jauh mengadopsi pendekatan model multi-nomial logit untuk menilai sejauhmana signifikansi karakteristik pengendara sepeda motor terhadap preferensinya dalam penggunaan Helm SNI. Hasil-hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa karakteristik umur dan pendidikan merupakan dua variabel yang cukup signifikan mempengaruhi preferensi pengendara sepeda motor dalam aspek kebijakan dan kenyaman penggunaan Helm SNI. Hasil ini menjadi informasi dan dasar yang cukup penting dalam perumusan upaya-upaya pendekatan yang dapat dilakukan terhadap pengguna sepeda motor, baik berupa upaya memassifkan penggunaan Helm SNI di masyarakat, maupun upaya untuk implementasi berbagai aturan tertib berlalu lintas lainnya di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the characteristics of motorcyclists in the city of Makassar and analyze its preference for the policy of prohibiting the use of mobile phones when driving. Data collection was carried out on an arterial road segment in Makassar City using an interview survey method based on questionnaire instruments. The descriptive statistical data analysis approach was conducted to see the significance of the characteristics of motorbike riders against their preferences related to the policy of prohibiting the use of mobile phones when driving. The results of the analysis show that age and education characteristics are two variables that significantly influence motorbike riders' preferences regarding the policy of prohibiting the use of mobile phones when driving. This result is an important information and basis in formulating approach efforts that can be done in terms of strategies for implementing the policy of prohibiting the use of mobile phones when driving in order to improve traffic safety in Indonesia. Hasil-hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa karakteristik umur dan pendidikan merupakan dua variabel yang secara signifikan mempengaruhi preferensi pengendara sepeda motor terkait kebijakan larangan penggunaan handphone saat berkendara. Hasil ini menjadi informasi dan dasar yang penting dalam perumusan upaya-upaya pendekatan yang dapat dilakukan dalam hal strategi implementasi kebijakan larangan penggunaan handphone saat berkendara dalam rangka meningkatkan keselamatan berlalu lintas di Indonesia.

Abstract

The traffic accidents often occur due to the lack of awareness while driving. The variance reason such us undisciplined and unwise to be polite when driving is the main cause of crashes. Road safety is one of the important roles to support and to develop to the commonwealth. This research aims to investigate the potential risk of speeding on a national road in Makassar. The driver performance the speeding is more occurs in the midnight till dawn. The situation of drivers while speeding is conducted to make them arrived early to the destination. The respondents' preferences also show the speed of the vehicle through the national road is around 40 – 60 km/hour. It is still in normal speed requirement at least 60 km/hour. Potensi kecelakaan akibat ketidaktertiban dalam berlalu lintas dapat terjadi. Penyebab kecelakaan lalu lintas dapat beragam seperti kurangnya kesadaran untuk berkendara secara bijak dan tertib serta penuh tanggung jawab. Pentingnya menjaga ketertiban ketertiban berkendara merupakan salah satu upaya dalam mendukung pembangunan dan integrasi nasional untuk memajukan kesejahteraan umum. Dalam melihat potensi risiko kecelakaan maka dilakukan suatu studi terkait perilaku pengendara kendaraan bermotor yang melampaui batas kecepatan pada ruas jalan di nasional di kota Makassar. Kecenderungan pengendara kendaraan bermotor yang melampaui batas kecepatan maksimum banyak terjadi pada malam hingga dini hari dengan tujuan agar pengendara sampai lebih cepat atau tepat waktu. Hasil wawancara juga menunjukkan bahwa responden mayoritas menggunakan kecepatan pada kisaran 40 – 60 km/jam dan masih masuk dalam kategori kecepatan normal dan tidak melampaui batas maksimum .

Abstract

The increase in urban slum areas provokes the adaptation impact of the community towards the capability conflict and the need for shelter. Slums management by displacing residents often raises new problems that are equally complicated. Hence, another alternative treatment by maintaining household-scale green open space (RTH) to improve the quality of life of the community and the environment is necessary. The problem of slums in big cities, including in the city of Makassar has not been able to be overcome properly, one of which is the problem of slums in the Mario Sub-District, Mariso District, Makassar City where the conditions of the slums are a severe result. The concept of managing the existing slums is not only producing buildings that are habitable, but also providing green open space is one of the solutions in structuring the existing area. At present, green open space not only provides open space planted with green vegetation but has the concept of Sustainable Open Green Space or known as the Green RTH concept. In this case, the concept introduced to local residents is green open where available wastewater treatment, composter and infiltration wells and biopores. It is these facilities which are expected to be able to deal directly with the problems of clean air, wastewater and waste problems that are always present in slums. The presence of the “Sustainable” Green Open Space which explains the concept of Green RTH namely green waste and green water can minimize the slums in the region. In green waste concept, 3 communal composters are made, each composter has a volume of 440 liters for 1235.775 liters / day of waste generation, while in the green water concept, a Wastewater Treatment Plant has an area of ​​302.8 m2, 1 infiltration well , 5 biopori infiltration holes and 2 hydrants.

Abstract

Pada studi ini mempelajari dan menentukan model terminal design concept yang optimum untuk bandara Internasional Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar. Parameter uji yang digunakan adalah tipe apron dan fasilitas pelayanan bandara meliputi data jumlah penumpang, pesawat, walking distance area, jumlah bus yang beroperasi, jumlah garbarata, dan forecasting penumpang serta pesawat. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksisting untuk merencanakan model terminal design concept yang optimum. Terminal design concept dengan model linear adalah concept design standard untuk bandara international Sultan Hasanuddin dengan jumlah parking stand yaitu 37 unit. Berdasarkan dari hasil forecasting selama 20 tahun untuk pergerakan pesawat dan penumpang yaitu 224,446 dan 20,235,110, masing-masing. Kemudian hasil perhitungan data eksisting antara waktu tercepat menggunakan bus pada kecepatan 25 km/jam dengan menggunakan Garbarata diperoleh 120-129 detik pada zona 1 dan 46-86 detik, masing-masing. Sedangkan waktu tercepat yang dibutuhkan dari parking stand menuju terminal kedatangan menggunakan bus dan dari pesawat menuju gate menggunakan Garbarata adalah 220 detik pada zona 3 dan 55.17 detik pada jarak 41.70 m. Sedangkan untuk terminal design concept model Pier dan satelite sebagai pilihan model pengembangan apron optimum diperoleh 51 dan 48 parking stand, masing-masing. Sehingga kesimpulan pada studi ini adalah penggunaan model terminal design concept yang optimum sebagai alternatif dalam perencanaan pengembangan apron badara international sultan hasanuddin makassar adalah tipe pier dan satellite dengan jumlah parking stand yang lebih banyak dibandingkan apron eksisting tipe linear.

Abstract

Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan memiliki potensi besar dalam peningkatan perekonomian karena letaknya yang strategis di persilangan jalur perdagangan internasional, sehingga peranan pelabuhan sangat vital. Kehadiran pelabuhan yang memadai berperan besar dalam menunjang mobilitas barang dan manusia. Pelabuhan menjadi sarana penting untuk menghubungkan antar pulau ataupun antar negara. Pembenahan dan perhatian khusus untuk infrastruktur transportasi di Indonesia masih dibutuhkan. Selain jumlah yang masih kurang memadai, begitu juga dengan aspek kualitas pelayanan prasarana dan infrastruktur masih cukup memprihatinkan. Untuk itu dibutuhkan upaya dan kiat-kiat khusus pada penyelamatan infrastruktur dan prasarana transportasi, sehingga eksistensinya dapat memberikan manfaat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa faktor-faktor peningkatan kepuasan pelanggan dan kualitas layanan pada proses stevedoring, saat kegiatan membongkar barang dari kapal ke dermaga, atau sebaliknya memuat dari dermaga ke kapal. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada kepuasan pelanggan dan kualitas layanan di terminal peti kemas. Metode yang digunakan untuk melihat faktor-faktor tersebut adalah Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Hasil yang diharapkan adalah menemukan faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kepuasan pelanggan dan kualitas layanan pada proses stevedoring di terminal peti kemas.Kata kunci: stevedoring, terminal peti kemas, kepuasan pelanggan, kualitas layanan.

Abstract

Plastics are widely used in various kinds of human life needs. The most important problem is plastic waste which cannot be decomposed naturally. It takes a very long time to clean plastic waste from the face of the earth. Moreover, the use of plastic is almost uncontrollable. Ecobrick is a creative effort to manage plastic waste into useful objects, reducing pollution and toxins generated by plastic waste. Its function is not to destroy plastic waste, but to extend the life of these plastics and process them into something useful, which can be used for the benefit of humans in general. Ecobricking is a plastic waste management technique made from used plastic bottles in which various plastic waste has been filled to the brim and then compacted until it becomes hard. After the bottles are full and hard, they can be assembled with glue and assembled into tables, simple chairs, building materials for walls, towers, small stages, and even have the potential to be assembled into fences and foundations for simple playgrounds and even houses. The partners involved in this Community Service activity are students and teachers at SD Inpres Kantisang. The solution offered is the management and processing of PET bottle waste that arises from the school environment into ecobricks which can be reused in the school environment. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the socialization carried out is by providing flash media to the school. The flashdisk contains educational and animated videos, as well as instructions for sorting waste and making ecobricks. The school will include this socialization material in Thematic learning in grade 5 and grade 6, and it is also used as a support for the Adiwiyata program at SD Inpres Kantisang - Tamalanrea.

Abstract

Maros Regency as an area that often receives Adipura award certificates should have schools that are also capable of achieving the Adiwiyata school title, a program that collaborates education with the environment. However, according to partners, out of 76 junior high schools in Maros Regency, only 5 have received this award. Starting from this, a team of lecturers from the Mathematics, Statistics, and Environmental Engineering study programs in collaboration with the Center for Development and Control of the Sulawesi and Maluku Ecoregions held training and mentoring activities for junior high schools in Maros Regency so that they were able to get the adiwiyata school title. Several aspects of the adiwiyata school assessment include curriculum development and environment-based learning, in this case specifically for mathematics. Organize the management of land, facilities and infrastructure in the environment around the school, in order to create an atmosphere that contributes to the formation of the character of students who are environmentally sound, build an extra-curricular climate that can contribute to environmental conservation, provide creativity and innovation for school residents in environmental protection and management efforts. The target audience for this service are students, teachers, and the junior high school environment in Maros Regency. The training activities was take place at SMP Negeri 16 Mandai, Maros Regency. The methods used include lectures, FGDs accompanied by demonstrations/practices, as well as monitoring and evaluation in class.

Abstract

The Gowa Regency as a node area that has been designated as one part of the Metropolitan City, an integrated city of Mamminasata, so that Gowa Regency has an important role as a sub-center for the development of Makassar City. The increase in traffic volume has led to transportation problems including queues of vehicles on several roads in the city of Sungguminasa. On several roads in Gowa Regency, there are more potential of congestion occurs because the modes of transportation that pass on these roads have exceeded over the available of road capacity. On the other hand, the distribution modes of transportation is uneven which causes overload capacity on several roads in Gowa Regency, especially Somba Opu District. The purpose of this activity is to analyze the trip assignment of the existing road network conditions and forecast for the next five years based on the existing road level of service values ​​on each road segment according to the origin-destination distribution of trips using the Visum program application. Network assignment by overviewing the performance level of service of existing road network sections shows the classification of service on most road sections with levels A, B and C with indications of stable flow, with the speed is starting to be limited by traffic conditions. In forecasting conditions, it can be seen that the loading of the road network with its performance on most of the sections has decreased in service at levels D and E with indications that traffic is starting to be disrupted and speeds are slowing down. The results of the application of the Visum program in trip assignment for the existing road network with road service level values ​​provide important information as an effort to determine strategies and efforts in mitigation to overcome transportation problems. Detailed level of road service in a road network on several existing road sections will provide an integrated information regarding the potential for diverting several heavy traffic flows in an effort to prevent potential congestion.
