Abstract

Gandul Cinere village is located bordered by South Jakarta. Jakarta has a fairly highnumber of SARS-COV 2 positive patients. The Indonesian Government has determined thatIndonesia is entering the New Normal era in June 2020. Many people in the community donot care about health protocols in the New Normal era and consider that the Covid-19pandemic is no longer a threat. Our goals are (1) increasing PHBS knowledge andawareness of health cadres to implement PHBS and to teach the community in everyday lifein the New Normal era, and (2) decreasing incidence of Covid-19 related illness in GandulCinere Village. Therefore, a continuous understanding of health protocols is needed. PHBSis part of the health protocol that must be run in this New Normal era. Continued knowledgeprovision is required in order to prevent the transmission of Covid-19, especially in theGandul Village area, Cinere, which borders the red zone area of Covid-19. Health cadreswho are the vanguard need assistance and guidance in understanding and applying PHBS ineveryday life. The methods used were online counseling, online discussion, online mentoring, and pre-/post-test implementation. The result showed increased knowledge about Clean andHealthy Living Behavior after given counseling and discussion with the respondent.

Abstract

Breast cancer is one type of cancer that ranks first in Asia and in Indonesia with a relative frequency of18.6%. Breast cancer also occupies the top 5 positions for causes of cancer deaths. Many breast cancer sufferersare found clinically with advanced stage symptoms, so they need special attention. In fact, breast cancer can beovercome if the patient begins to detect and treat it early. Early efforts to carry out breast cancer screening arewith the BSE program or self breast examination. Counseling was carried out at Posbindu Anggrek Bulan andPosbindu Delima Senja. The implementation of this service activity uses a method of counseling, video playbackand simulation that is very good for providing knowledge and skills related to health education to the community. There is an increase in knowledge of the material given through the pretest and posttest. Self-awareness skills asbreast cancer prevention efforts were carried out well by participants. The results of community service activitiesare expected to get a lot of information about breast cancer as well as overall female reproductive healthinformation.

Abstract

Pneumonia is a lung parenchymal infection caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It is Gram negative bacteria that have developed antibiotic resistance. Actinomycetes are Gram-positive bacteria that produce secondary metabolites which have the ability as antimicrobial. Objectives: To identified the ability of Actinomycetes isolates to inhibit the growth of the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853. The samples in this experiment were from Kebun Raya Bogor that had been rejuvenated on Starch Casein Agar (SCA). Methods: Six dilution series 10-1; 10-2; 10-3; 10-4; 10-5; 10-6 Actinomycetes isolates were used to observe the inhibition zone of P.aeruginosa growth on Mueller Hinton Agar (MHA) media by diffusion method. Results: The effective incubation time occurred at 24 hours, and then it resulted in the average clear zone diameter of 14.70 mm, 10.57 mm, 8.53 mm, 8.47 mm, 6.97 mm, and 5.30 mm. The results of the One – Way Anova test with p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.005) showed some differences at each concentration to inhibit the growth of P.aeruginosa ATCC 27853 at 24 hours incubation period. Conclusion: The most effective concentration of Actinomycetes isolates that can potentially be antibacterial was the concentration of 10-1 with potential solid inhibitory power. Keywords: Actinomycetes, antibacterial, Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Abstract

Spermatogenesis is the process of spermatozoa formation. An increase in free radicals, such as in hyperglycemia conditions, causes oxidative stress, which can interfere with spermatogenesis. Oxidative stress is an inequality condition between the body’s capacity to produce antioxidants and the rise of free radicals. Antioxidants such as flavonoids are contained in plants such as Moringa oleifera leaves. During spermatogenesis, an apoptosis process involves the BAX gene. BAX is a gene that functions as pro-apoptosis. There is also a CO1 gene in mitochondria, which plays a role in cellular metabolism. Gene expression examination assesses the comparative threshold cycle (CT) with RT-PCR, and spermatozoa quality examination includes assessing spermatozoa concentration and motility. This study used 30 male white Sprague Dawley rats as the test animals, which were divided into five treatment groups: treatment of moringa leaf extract dose 200 mg/kg BW, treatment dose 300 mg/kg BW, treatment dose 400 mg/kg BW, normal control group, and positive control group. The results showed a decrease in BAX gene expression and CO1 gene expression in the treatment group of test animals. The results of sperm analysis showed an increase in spermatozoa concentration in all treatment groups compared to the control group. For sperm motility in the 400 mg/KgBB dose treatment, an increase in sperm motility compared to the control group. This study concludes that administering moringa leaf extract reduced the expression of the Bax and CO1 genes. However, no significant changes were observed in sperm concentration and motility within the treatment group.

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a condition where a child's height does not match their age caused by persistent nutritional disorders. The incidence of stunting in the  Indramayu area is quite high, namely 29.19% in 2019 which exceeds the WHO target of 20%.  Antenatal visits indirectly induce stunting since stunting factors can be seen prenatally.  Antenatal visits are a series of comprehensive examinations for pregnant women. The Indonesian Ministry of Health's 2021 recommendations divide antenatal visits into the first (K1), fourth (K4), and sixth (K6) visits. This study aimed to discover the relationship quantity of antenatal visits and the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the Margadadi Puskesmas Working Area, Indramayu Regency. Subjects and Method: A case-control study conducted at the Margadadi Community Health Center, Indramayu, West Java, Indonesia. A total of 60 moms of toddlers selected in this study use the consecutive sampling, with 30 subjects each as a case and control group. The dependent variable was stunting. The independent variables were ANC visit follow are K1, K4, and K6. Data collected by questionairre. Data were analyzed by Chi-Square test. Results: Pregnant women who had complete K6 antenatal visits had lower risk to have stunted children (OR= 0.20; 95% CI= 0.04 to 1.02; p= 0.038). Conclusion: K6 shows a protective relationship on stunting.
