Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) pengaruh model pembelajaran group investigation berbantuan media kontekstual terhadap motivasi, 2) Pengaruh model pembelajaran group investigation berbantuan media kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar, 3) pengaruh model pembelajaran group investigation berbantuan media kontekstual terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar. Jenis peneltian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas IV SD Gugus II Kecamatan Karangasem yang berjumlah 204 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan rendom sampling. Sampel penelitian ini untuk kelas eksperimen yaitu SD 4 Bugbug, SD 5 Bugbug, dan SD 4 Pertime. Sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol SD 1 Pertime, SD 5 Subagan, dan SD 6 Subagan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu post-test only non equivalent control group design. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan tes pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Manova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran group investigation berbantuan media kontekstual terhadap motivasi pada nilai sig. 0,000<0,05. (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran group investigation berbantuan media kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar matematika pada sig. 0,004<0,05. (3) terdapat pengaruh secara simultan model group investigation berbantuan media kontekstual terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar matematika pada nilai sig. 0,000<0,05

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of cognitive and behaviorist learning theories in science education at the elementary school level and their impact on student learning outcomes. The cognitive approach emphasizes mental processes in understanding information, while the behaviorist approach focuses on observable behavioral changes resulting from stimulus-response interactions. This qualitative study employed observation and interviews with teachers and students across several elementary schools. Findings indicate that the application of cognitive strategies, such as concept mapping and the use of visual media, assists students in organizing information and establishing connections between concepts, thereby deepening their understanding of the material. Additionally, the application of behaviorist principles through positive reinforcement, such as praise and rewards, effectively enhances student motivation and participation in learning activities. The combination of these two approaches has been shown to create a learning environment that is adaptive and responsive to individual student needs, ultimately improving their learning outcomes. However, the study also identifies challenges in balancing guidance and student autonomy, which require proficient pedagogical skills from teachers. Therefore, professional training and development for teachers are highly recommended to optimize the implementation of these theories in science education at the elementary school level

Abstract

Hasil belajar operasi hitung rendah karena metode konvensional, kemampuan numerasi dasar siswa masih lemah, dan media game edukasi belum dimanfaatkan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media game edukasi Belitung berbasis website pada materi operasi hitung yang dapat digunakan sebagai sarana pembelajaran interaktif bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Media ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep operasi hitung melalui permainan yang menarik, mudah diakses, dan dapat digunakan kapan saja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Subjek uji coba meliputi ahli media, ahli materi, guru, dan siswa sekolah dasar. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket validasi, observasi, dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil validasi menunjukkan media 85% memiliki kategori sangat layak dari segi isi, tampilan, dan interaktivitas. Hasil validasi ahli materi 88,57% memiliki kategori sangat layak dari segi kesesuaian materi, penyajian, tingkat keterpahaman, dan relevasi dengan kurikulum. Hasil validasi praktisi 92,5 memiliki kategori sangat layak. Uji coba lapangan menunjukkan nilai rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,705 berada pada kategori sedang, yang berarti adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan setelah menggunakan media game edukasi Belitung, disertai respon positif dari guru dan siswa terhadap kemudahan penggunaan dan keseruan permainan. Dengan demikian, media game edukasi Belitung berbasis website dinilai efektif sebagai inovasi pembelajaran operasi hitung di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Reforestation is an effort to plant trees and plants in places that are considered to be able to grow and develop these plants. The benefits of reforestation are preventing soil erosion, making air quality better, improving air quality, controlling climate, preventing flooding and making the scenery more beautiful and fresh. The role and function of fruit plants for the environment needs to be socialized to the people of Kebung Kauh Village, Sidemen District, Karangasem Regency. This service activity aims to (1) build the character of a community who cares about the environment through planting trees as greening the environment. (2) socializing the roles and functions of fruit trees to the people of Kebung Kauh Village. The method used is training in the form of outreach, procurement of facilities and infrastructure, field assistance or fruit planting and evaluation. The planting activity as a greening of the environment was jointly carried out on June 2 2023 taking place in Kebung Kauh Village, Sidemen District, Karangasem Regency. In its implementation, this activity involved 100 participants consisting of university students, students of SD N 2 Telaga Tawang, and the people of Kebung Kauh Village. Its implementation includes: (1) children's education activities and cleaning the environment in Kebung Kauh Village which will be used as a reforestation location, (2) fruit tree planting activities, and (3) fruit plant maintenance activities. The result of this tree planting activity is the planting of coconut, mangosteen, jepun, and sandat trees in several locations in Kebung Kauh Village on land that requires reforestation in Kebung Kauh Village, Sidemen District, Karangasem Regency.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance elementary school students’ literacy and numeracy skills through the utilization of digital technology. The program was implemented at SD Negeri 5 Bhuana Giri under the theme “Smart Kids in the Digital Era” as an effort to foster intelligence, creativity, and 21st-century skills among young learners. The rapid advancement of technology requires students not only to be literate in reading and numeracy but also to possess digital literacy in order to adapt to modern learning environments. The implementation methods included socialization, interactive training, and mentoring sessions on the use of digital learning media and applications focused on literacy and numeracy. Students were introduced to various digital learning tools such as educational games, interactive videos, and engaging numeracy applications to increase their learning motivation. Teachers were also involved to ensure the sustainability of technology integration in classroom activities. The results of the program indicated an increase in students’ enthusiasm for learning, better understanding of basic literacy and numeracy concepts, and improved ability to use digital devices responsibly and effectively. Through this program, students of SD Negeri 5 Bhuana Giri are expected to become intelligent, creative, and adaptive individuals in facing technological advancements. Moreover, this initiative serves as a practical example of how basic education can synergize with technological innovation to build a strong foundation of digital intelligence from an early age.

Abstract

The main problem addressed in this study is the low academic achievementof fourth-grade students at Bugbug Public Elementary School 2. This study aims toimprove academic achievement using the Numbered Heads Together cooperativelearning model supported by WordWall. This study is a classroom action research(CAR) project. The subjects of this study were 28 fourth-grade students at BugbugPublic Elementary School 2, consisting of 15 boys and 13 girls. The data collectedwere quantitative data using a test instrument to measure learning outcomes. Thelearning outcomes after Cycle I showed an initial average score of 66 and aclassical learning mastery rate of 46%. No significant improvement in learningoutcomes was observed in Cycle I. In Cycle II, an improvement in learning outcomes was evident, with an average score of 78 and a classical learning mastery rate of 93%. Based on the above findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together cooperative learning model, supported by WordWall, can improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at State Elementary School 2 Bugbug

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students on the topic of plane figures. The problem was influenced by teacher-centered learning practices, monotonous instructional methods, and the limited use of concrete learning media. This study aimed to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by concrete media. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The study was carried out at SD N 1 Datah involving 16 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and observation sheets, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The findings indicated that the application of the Discovery Learning model supported by concrete media was able to enhance students’ mathematics learning outcomes, as reflected in the increase in the average scores and the percentage of learning mastery from the first cycle to the second cycle. Therefore, the use of the Discovery Learning model assisted by concrete media is considered effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of plane figures for fourth-grade students.

Abstract

This study is motivated by low mathematics learning outcomes in whole number material among third-grade elementary school students. This issue is caused by the use of less varied teaching methods and limited use of concrete objects, which results in low student engagement and difficulty in understanding abstract concepts. This study aims to improve students learning outcomes through the application of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model assisted by concrete objects. The STAD model encourages students to work in groups, help each other, and actively participate in learning. Meanwhile, concrete objects help students understand whole number concepts in a more real and meaningful way according to their cognitive development stage. The method use is classroom action research conducted in two cycles, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 32 third-grade elementary school students. Data were collected using learning achievement tests and observation sheets. The results show an improvement in students learning outcomes in each cycle. In the first cycle, there was an increase compared to the initial condition, but the success criteria had not yet been achieved. After improvements in the second cycle, students learning outcomes increased significantly and met the expected mastery level, where at least 80% of students reached the minimum passing grade (KKTP). Therefore, if can be concluded that the STAD learning model assisted by concrete objects is effective in improving students learning outcomes in whole number material

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the numeracy literacy skills of third-grade elementary school students on fractions and identify the factors that influence them. Numeracy literacy includes not only the ability to count, but also conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and the ability to apply mathematics in everyday life contexts. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with third-grade students in one elementary school as subjects. Data collection was carried out through written tests, interviews, and observations of the learning process. The test instrument was designed to measure understanding of fraction concepts, the ability to compare fractions, and contextual problem-solving skills. The results of the study indicate that students' numeracy literacy skills on fractions are still classified as low to moderate. Some students are able to recognize simple fractions, but do not yet understand the concept in depth, especially in terms of the relationship between the numerator and the denominator. Difficulties are also seen when students are asked to compare two fractions or solve story problems related to real situations. Common errors include inaccuracy in determining fraction values, errors in problem interpretation, and a lack of ability to relate mathematical concepts to everyday life. Factors influencing these conditions include teacher-centered learning methods, the lack of use of concrete learning media, and limited context-based practice questions. Furthermore, low student interest and motivation in learning also affect learning outcomes. Therefore, improvement efforts are needed through the implementation of more contextual, interactive, and problem-based learning. Teachers are expected to be able to create a learning environment that supports concept exploration so that students' numeracy literacy skills in fraction material can develop optimally and sustainably

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of third grade elementary school students, particularly in addition and subtraction of whole numbers. The problem was related to limited student engagement and the use of less varied learning approaches in the classroom. This study aimed to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of the Make a Match learning model. The research used Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were third grade students. Data were collected through tests to measure learning outcomes and observations to capture student participation during the learning process. The data were analyzed using descriptive methods. The findings show that the implementation of the Make a Match learning model improves students’ mathematics learning outcomes, as reflected in higher average scores and increased learning completeness. In addition, students become more active and engaged during the learning process. Therefore, the Make a Match learning model is effective in improving students’ mathematics learning outcomes on addition and subtraction of whole numbers
