Abstract

This study aims to explore the extent of the paradigm in learning adopted by the Bahriyatul Ulum K.H. Zainul Arifin Pandan Islamic College during the digital era as it is today. The descriptive method is a method used by researchers in analyzing data obtained through interviews, observations and documentation. The results of this study include: 1). Research-based learning by emphasizing lecturers and students so that in every learning they obtain research products / results as a form of contributing thoughts. 2). Multidirectional learning by making all media and other elements as learning resources. Lecturers are only as good as the corridors of lectures. 3). Monomedia learning becomes multimedia by utilizing aspects of learning as a means of supporting learning. 4). Group-based learning.Keyword: Learning Paradigm, Digital Era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis sistem finansial pendidikan Islam berbasis wakaf di Pondok Pesantren Mawaridussalam Deli Serdang meliputi perencanaan, pengelolaan dan pengawasannya. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa; 1) Proses perencanaan dilakukan dengan musyawarah diikuti oleh Dewan Nazir waqaf dengan menganalisis kebutuhan opersional, pembangunan sarana dan prasarana, pengkaderan serta pengembangan unit usaha produktif milik Pondok 2) Proses pengelolaan finansial dilakukan dengan pengelolaan modern yang mengacu pada pengelolaan manajemen serta pengembangannya dalam bentuk unit usaha milik Pondok, 3) Pengawasan sistem finansial pendidikan Islam dilakukakn Pondok Pesantren secara berkesinambungan baik secara internal maupun ekternal, penanaman rasa tanggung jawab dalam menjalankan amanah, menumbuhkan motivasi tinggi dalam mengembangkan aset wakaf di kalangan pengelola Pondok menjadikan upaya pengawasan secara internal, pelaporan yang dibuat secara berkala menjadikan salah satu upaya pengawasan ekternal, sehingga dapat direalisasikan secara efektif dan dipertanggungjawabkan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the policy and implementation of management in improving the quality of education in Indonesian universities. This research uses a literature research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Literature, scientific journals are needed to study and search for data sources. The results of this study explain the quality assurance approach directing higher education institutions to learn and implement Total Quality Management (TQM). There have been four successes within the scope of college management, among others: (1) Students are satisfied with the services provided by the College; (2) Education customers are satisfied with the services provided to their students; (3) stakeholders are satisfied to have qualified graduates and according to expectations; (4) Lecturers and education staff are satisfied with the services of universities in several fields: division of labor, relationships and communication between lecturers/leaders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation, and supervision of learning in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 at STAI Bahriyatul Ulum Pandan. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive research. The research was conducted at STAI Bahriyatul Ulum Pandan using data collection techniques through interviews and observations. The results of the study suggest that starting from the dominant competencies in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, many inventions and successes of lecturers have been produced to improve the quality of learning in the form of curriculum development, and the use of technology, communication, and information in the application of various approaches and learning strategies. All innovative processes and successful learning are supported by the ability of lecturers to apply the principles of good learning management. The creeping industrial revolution 4.0 brings several challenges such as the loss of many jobs and the creation of new jobs, so skilled human resources are needed. As a religious institution, STAI Bahriyatul Ulum Pandan is expected to produce creative, imaginative, competent, and innovative graduates which can only be achieved by creating conducive learning conditions supported by learning management.

Abstract

The purpose of this writing is to analyze: 1) Institutional planning for religious affairs-based higher education at UNIVA Medan; 2) Organizing religious-based higher education institutions at UNIVA Medan; 3) Direction of Islamic-based higher education institutions at UNIVA Medan; 4) Leadership of Islamic-based higher education institutions at UNIVA Medan; and 5) Supervision of religious-based higher education institutions at UNIVA Medan. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method, where the results obtained in this research are: 1) Value-based planning consisting of universal values, Islamic values, and kealwashliyahan. Making the values of worship and mumtaz as basic values, establishing the vision of mumtaz, improving infrastructure, accreditation, spirituality, opening postgraduate studies, digitalization, university identity, RIP, research university, WCU, GUG, development of KKNI + ma'had aly, as well as the development of Tri Dharma into Catur Dharma; 2) Value-based organizing consisting of universal values, Islamic values, and religious beliefs. Organizing is carried out by setting common goals, professional and proportional, fit and profitable, and building trust; 3) Value-based guidance consisting of universal values, Islamic values, and religious beliefs. 3T+1H directing method, direct involvement, coordination, determination of technical guidelines, community unity, focus on goals, Tri Dharma and Catur Dharma; 4) Value-based leadership consisting of universal values, Islamic values, and kealwashliyyah. Leaders must have competence, emulate the leadership of the Prophet, motivation, and apply digital leadership, and 5) Value-based supervision consisting of universal values, Islamic values, and religious beliefs. Supervision is carried out using a dual system consisting of internal and external, involvement of the parent organization, supervision of Tri Dharma & Catur Dharma, as well as supervision based on katauhidan values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financing of educational investments in two types of Islamic boarding schools, namely Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Raudatul 'Ulum in Aek Nabara, Labuhan Batu, North Sumatra, and Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Abraar in South Tapanuli, North Sumatra. The study employs a multisite approach to understand various aspects influencing educational financing in these boarding schools. The research reveals that both boarding schools have different financing models but share the common goal of enhancing educational quality. Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Raudatul 'Ulum relies on endowment funds (wakaf), community donations, and contributions from students and alumni. In contrast, Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Abraar combines funds from various sources such as regular donors, scholarships, and income from productive economic activities managed by the boarding school. Findings indicate that despite having different financing strategies, both boarding schools face similar challenges in managing funds and ensuring the sustainability of quality education. The study suggests the need for diversifying funding sources and adopting more professional financial management to enhance the effectiveness of educational financing in boarding schools. This research makes a significant contribution to the literature on educational financing in Islamic boarding schools and serves as a reference for other boarding school administrators in developing effective and sustainable financing strategies.

Abstract

The focus of this research is on organizational communication in the perspective of Islamic education that has not been effective. By using relevant literature and references, this research determines the importance of communication in Islamic educational organizations. Data was collected through Google Scholar. Verses from the Qur'an are used to illustrate the role of communication within an organization. When members of the organization know how to communicate well, then organizational communication can run smoothly. Effective communication among organization members maintains good relationships in accordance with established rules. The verses from the Qur'an serve as a basis for communication within the educational institution. This study found that communication among organization members using hierarchical positions should be well-established and consider the tasks and positions of each.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges and solutions in the implementation of organizational communication at MTsN 3 Labuhan Batu from the perspectives of teachers and students. Effective organizational communication is a crucial element in creating a productive learning environment; however, various obstacles often arise in practice. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection. The findings reveal that teachers face challenges such as time constraints, technological skills, and communication with parents, while students encounter issues related to self-confidence, access to technology, and differences in communication styles. Proposed solutions include interpersonal communication training, improvement of technological facilities, fostering an open communication culture, and enhancing collaboration among teachers, students, and parents. By implementing these solutions, MTsN 3 Labuhan Batu is expected to improve the effectiveness of organizational communication, support the quality of education, and prepare students to face future challenges.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the planning, implementation, and evaluation of SISPALA extracurricular activities at Kindergarten Aulia. This research was carried out using qualitative descriptive methods at the Aulia Medan Tembung Kindergarten from June to December 2024. The research subjects were the Head of the Madrasah/SISPALA Supervisor, the Deputy Head of the Madrasah for Student Affairs, teachers, parents, and students. Data collection was carried out through triangulation of sources and methods to increase research credibility. This research highlights the effectiveness of SISPALA activities in increasing students' environmental awareness and practical skills from an early age, as well as integrating extracurricular activities with the academic curriculum. The research results show that SISPALA planning is designed to support academic learning and increase environmental awareness. Implementation includes regular meetings, waste bank management, and reforestation projects. Evaluations are carried out regularly to ensure program effectiveness, improve the quality of activities, and support student character development. The implications of this research can be a reference for educational institutions in developing effective environment-based extracurriculars and for academics and practitioners in designing similar activities to improve student's learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of organizational communication at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta in Medan Area, specifically focusing on communication between the madrasah leadership, teachers, students, and parents. Effective communication in educational institutions is crucial to support the smooth flow of the learning process and achieve educational goals. However, communication challenges include limited access to technology, low parental involvement, and issues with the understanding of the information received. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, involving interviews with the madrasah principal, teachers, and parents. The findings show that while internal communication between the madrasah leadership and teachers works relatively well, the main challenge lies in the suboptimal involvement of parents, particularly concerning access to technology such as WhatsApp. Therefore, it is important to enhance parental participation and ensure that the information conveyed can be received evenly by all parties involved in the educational process.
