Abstract

Environmental changes and the development of science and technology demand improvements in the quality of education, including the achievement of students’ academic performance. As the young intellectual generation, university students play a vital role in shaping the nation's future; therefore, the factors influencing learning outcomes need to be examined. This study aims to analyze the factors affecting athletic learning outcomes among students of the Physical Education and Health Study Program (Porkes) at Jambi University, class of 2024.The research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive method through surveys and data collection using questionnaires. The study sample consisted of 35 randomly selected students from a total population of 170. The results indicate that physical condition factors (69%), psychological factors (65%), environmental factors (66%), lecturer-student interaction (67%), as well as facilities and infrastructure (70%) fall into the high category in influencing athletic learning outcomes. Overall, these factors contribute 67% to the learning outcomes, indicating a significant impact. The implication of this study is the importance of paying attention to physical, psychological, learning environment, educational interaction, and supporting facilities aspects in order to enhance students’ academic achievement.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peran guru PJOK dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran mengetahui minat belajar siswa kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga dan Kesehatan serta mengetahui minat siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga dan Kesehatan di SMP Nasional Sariputra Kota Jambi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, karena permasalahan yang akan diteliti bersifat sementara dan berkembang sesuai dengan penelitian yang akan dilakukan. Penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari 2 tahapan yaitu dimulai dari pengumpulan data dan validitas data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran guru dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa yaitu guru sebagai pendidik, guru sebagai pembimbing, guru sebagai motivator, dan guru harus bisa mencairkan suasana supaya siswa tidak malas dalam mengikuti pembelajaran.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Education is one aspect that is very important and necessary for the country to be able to compete with the outside world. The quality of education in Indonesia really needs to be improved because high quality education indicates that a nation has potential and quality human resources. Education is also inseparable from the role of an educator, school principal or leader who is professional and dignified. The role of an educator or teacher cannot be separated from providing knowledge, guiding, directing, training students so that they have the knowledge to be able to face their future life in accordance with the changes and developments of the times. A quality leader will direct the success of the vision and mission that has been designed. Therefore, to achieve the expected vision and mission, a leadership style that is Democratic, Visionary, Multicultural, Sportive, Transactional, Transformational and Liberal Leadership is needed. This research aims to analyze the leadership style of school principals, assess the various leadership styles applied by vocational school principals in Merangin Regency and identify their influence on the development of sports achievements in schools. In this research the author used qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. What is the leadership style applied by vocational school principals throughout Merangin Regency in terms of sports achievements in their schools?

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendalami pemahaman terkait tingkat partisipasi dan minat siswa dalam berbagai kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga yang diadakan di SMA Negeri 12 Kabupaten Bungo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur sejauh mana keterlibatan siswa dalam aktivitas-aktivitas ekstrakurikuler olahraga tersebut, dengan fokus pada eksplorasi dan pemahaman mendalam terhadap faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi minat siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan tersebut di lingkungan pendidikan tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode survei, sehingga tidak memerlukan formulasi hipotesis. Sampel diambil dengan teknik quota sampling, yang dipilih secara acak melalui undian dan berjumlah 75 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa survei minat siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga di SMA Negeri 12 Kabupaten Bungo pada Indikator Intrinsik berada dalam kategori sedang, mencapai 62%. Sedangkan survei minat siswa pada Indikator Ekstrinsik juga berada dalam kategori sedang, mencapai 60%. Secara keseluruhan, minat siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga di SMA Negeri 12 Kabupaten Bungo berada dalam kategori sedang, yakni sebesar 61%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa minat siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga di SMA Negeri 12 Kabupaten Bungo tergolong dalam kategori sedang, dengan persentase sebesar 61%.

Abstract

Esensi senam dapat dipahami bahwasanya senam juga dapat dijadikan sebagai penunjang kesehatan oleh setiap individu, namun, permasalahan yang sering ditemui adalah masih banyak yang tidak menyadari pentingnya olahraga dalam hal ini senam sebagai penunjang kesehatan. Hal ini ditambah dengan kurangnya instruktur yang berkompeten dalam memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan dalam rangka mewujudkan individu yang sehat dilandasi olaharaga yang bersifat kontinuitas.Tujuan pelatihan ini dapat menambah kreatifitas guru penjas dengan mengkreasikan rangkaian senam yang dapat dipakai sebagai bahan ajar disekolah. Kegiatan ini dikemas dalam bentuk pelatihan. Pelatihan ini juga sangat bermanfaat dan disambut baik oleh guru-guru Penjas se-Kota Jambi, melalui KKGOR (Kelompok Kerja Guru Olahraga). Acara pelatihan ini terdiri dari 2 sesi, yaitu sesi teori yaitu pemberian teori mengenai macam-macam gerakan-gerakan senam kreasi oleh dosen kepada guru-guru yang mengikuti pelatihan, dan sesi praktek yang merupakan penerapan teori macam-macam gerakan senam kreasi tersebut.  Kata Kunci : Pelatihan, senam kreasi, Guru Olahraga

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana manajemen pembinaan atlet berdampak pada penutupan dojo (klub) perguruan Gokasi di kecamatan Mandiangin. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Wawancara dan dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Penulis menggunakan teknik analisis reduksi, yaitu merangkum dan memfokuskan pada hal-hal yang penting untuk menganalisisnya. Dalam penelitian ini, ada empat atlet karate di Gokasi Dojo Mandiangin, dua dari mereka adalah pelatih, dan satu orang tua atlet. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instruksi bela diri karate di perguruan Gokasi Mandiangin berkonsentrasi pada peran manajemen dan tantangan yang dihadapi atlet, yang menyebabkan banyak atlet keluar dan berhenti. Perencanaan di perguruan Gokasi Mandiangin dilakukan dengan baik, seperti yang ditunjukkan oleh kegiatan sehari-hari dan latihan yang diadakan secara teratur. Abstract

The Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) community in Jambi, who largely live nomadically, face serious obstacles in accessing public services and social development. The main cause is the lack of essential population administration documents, such as ID cards (KTP), Family Cards (KK), and birth certificates. This condition limits their civil rights, even though Law No. 24 of 2013 concerning Population Administration clearly guarantees these rights for all citizens. This community service program was designed to address this problem by aiming to broaden the SAD's understanding of their population administration rights and to facilitate the process of obtaining these documents. This activity was implemented by the Universitas Jambi community service team, which also involved student participation through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. The program was focused in Sekaladi, Pelempang Village, Mestong District, Muaro Jambi Regency. The implementation methods included intensive socialization, personal assistance, and direct administrative support. The program's results show an increased understanding among the SAD community regarding the importance of population documents. Furthermore, the program successfully assisted many community members in obtaining ID cards, Family Cards, and birth certificates. The positive impact of possessing these documents is evident in their increased access to basic services such as healthcare, education, and social assistance programs. This program provides a tangible contribution to strengthening the civil rights of the SAD and supports the achievement of their social welfare. Abstrak. Masyarakat Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) di Jambi, yang sebagian besar hidup nomaden, menghadapi kendala serius dalam mengakses layanan publik dan pembangunan sosial. Penyebab utamanya adalah ketiadaan dokumen administrasi kependudukan esensial, seperti KTP, Kartu Keluarga (KK), dan akta kelahiran. Kondisi ini membatasi hak sipil mereka, meskipun Undang-Undang No. 24 Tahun 2013 tentang Administrasi Kependudukan secara jelas menjamin hak tersebut bagi seluruh warga negara. Program pengabdian ini dirancang untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan tujuan memperluas wawasan SAD mengenai hak administrasi kependudukan dan memfasilitasi proses perolehan dokumen. Kegiatan ini diimplementasikan oleh tim pengabdian Universitas Jambi, yang turut melibatkan partisipasi mahasiswa melalui program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Lokasi kegiatan difokuskan di Sekaladi, Desa Pelempang, Kecamatan Mestong, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup sosialisasi intensif, pendampingan personal, dan bantuan administratif secara langsung. Hasil program menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat SAD mengenai pentingnya dokumen kependudukan. Lebih lanjut, program ini berhasil membantu banyak anggota komunitas dalam memperoleh KTP, KK, dan akta kelahiran. Dampak positif dari kepemilikan dokumen ini terlihat dari peningkatan akses mereka terhadap layanan dasar seperti kesehatan, pendidikan, dan program bantuan sosial. Program ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam penguatan hak sipil SAD dan mendukung pencapaian kesejahteraan sosial mereka.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the development of video tutorials for junior high school science classes about the impacts of additive use on food and beverages, as well as to gauge the effectiveness of the tutorials. The five steps of the ADDIE development model analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation are used in this work. This study discovered that junior high school science classes have gone through multiple phases of developing video lessons on the impacts of utilising chemicals on food and beverages. Among them are validation from material experts, which received a very decent rating of 95.4 percent, and validation from media experts, which received a decent assessment of 86.4 percent. Field trials were conducted to measure the effectiveness of this video tutorial media. This includes a 93% science teacher trial with very decent assessments; a small group trial with 9 students showed a result of 84.8% with a decent assessment; and a large group trial with 25 students from class IX C at SMP Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi showed a result of 90.8% with a decent assessment. This development shows that video tutorials on the effects of additive use on food and beverages, especially those related to science lessons in junior high school, can be considered a feasible, efficient, and high-quality learning method. Based on this development, it is suggested that many people, especially science teachers in junior high schools, consider using this video tutorial as one of the most useful learning media. Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that can affect children's physical development, including body composition and cardiorespiratory capacity. This study aims to analyze the relationship between body mass index (BMI) and cardiorespiratory endurance in stunted children of elementary school age. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 120 stunted children aged 6-12 years in three elementary schools. Anthropometric measurements included height, weight, and BMI calculation. Cardiorespiratory endurance was measured using a 6-minute walk test. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and linear regression. The average BMI of the subjects was 15.2 ± 2.1 kg/m², with 65% being categorized as underweight. The average distance covered in the 6-minute test was 420 ± 68 meters. There was a moderate positive correlation (r = 0.42; p < 0.001) between BMI and cardiorespiratory endurance.There is a significant positive relationship between BMI and cardiorespiratory endurance in stunted children, indicating the importance of nutritional interventions to improve children's physical capacity.

Abstract

Maximum achievement in the world of sports can only be achieved if training is carried out in a quality manner and follows systematic coaching principles such as the concept of coaching pyramid. The use of science and technology (IPTEK) is very important to obtain data on the physiological characteristics of athletes, which are then used as a reference in compiling training programs. In the training process, load management must consider the physical condition of each athlete, because the training load functions to stimulate an increase in their physiological capacity. However, errors in managing the training load can have a negative impact on the athlete's physical condition. Signs such as increased heart rate, frequent dizziness, and digestive and metabolic disorders are symptoms of overtraining that will hinder the athlete's performance in achieving the best performance. This overtraining is usually caused by errors in planning and implementing the training program
