Abstract

This study aimsto determine the Marketing Strategy of White Water Rafting Destinations in Rantau Nipis Village. Themethodused in thisstudyis a qualitative descriptive method, namely the process by selecting the object ofre search and then proceeding with the formulation of the problem and asking sever alquestion srelated to a study, then collecting data related to the formulation of the problem. Some of the techniquesused for data collection are observation, interviews, and documentation. The thing thatmust be done in marketing this white water rafting destination isto use a marketing strategy through social media by posting white water rafting activitieson social media.

Abstract

With the Republic of Indonesia Law no. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages creates a hope for village sustainability regarding the distribution of Village Funds, revitalization of village development, implementation of village government, to the utilization of the potential and local wisdom of the village itself. However, in Indonesia, the implementation of BUMDes has not been fully implemented. Moreover, in its implementation in some areas, the existence of BUMDes is still unable to run efficiently and is able to contribute to the development and empowerment of residents in the village. This research intends to find out the potential and make Video Profiling BUMDes as a promotional media for East Surabaya Village, Banding Agung District, Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Regency, South Sumatra Province, which is a village whose BUMDes has a geographical location right above Lake Ranau. Other objectives of this research are: first, to find out the form of participation of the village government and residents in managing and utilizing BUMDes. Second, to find out the contribution of BUMDes in helping the economy and the welfare of the community. Third, to assist in promoting BUMDes and the potentials around them in the form of BUMDes Profiling Videos.

Abstract

The development of information technology has transformed the way people obtain information through online media. The presence of online media provides convenience for the public in accessing various types of information quickly, practically, and in real time without being limited by space and time. One of the online media platforms that plays an important role in disseminating public information is Sumeks.co, which actively provides news and up-to-date information to the public. This study aims to examine the role of Sumeks.co as an online media platform in the dissemination of public information during the internship program. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The collected data were then analyzed to understand the working process of online media in delivering information to the public. The findings indicate that Sumeks.co performs the functions of mass media through several stages, including information gathering, news writing, editing, and publication in a fast, precise, and accurate manner. During this process, all information is verified before publication to ensure the credibility and accuracy of the news. Furthermore, online media plays a significant role in fulfilling the public’s information needs, improving access to public information, supporting transparency, and promoting information openness in the digital era. The internship program also provided practical experience for students in applying communication and journalism theories in a professional work environment. Through this activity, students gained a deeper understanding of news production processes, improved their writing skills, and developed insights into professionalism and ethical standards in the mass media industry. Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah mengubah cara masyarakat memperoleh informasi melalui media online. Kehadiran media online memberikan kemudahan bagi masyarakat dalam mengakses berbagai informasi secara cepat, praktis, dan real-time tanpa terbatas oleh ruang dan waktu. Salah satu media online yang berperan dalam penyebaran informasi publik adalah Sumeks.co, yang secara aktif menyajikan berita dan informasi terkini kepada masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran media online Sumeks.co dalam penyebaran informasi publik selama pelaksanaan program magang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis untuk memahami proses kerja media online dalam menyampaikan informasi kepada masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sumeks.co menjalankan fungsi media massa melalui proses pengumpulan informasi, penulisan berita, penyuntingan, hingga publikasi secara cepat, tepat, dan akurat. Dalam proses tersebut, setiap informasi yang diterbitkan melalui tahapan verifikasi guna menjaga kredibilitas dan keakuratan berita. Selain itu, media online berperan penting dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi masyarakat, meningkatkan akses terhadap informasi publik, mendukung transparansi, serta mendorong keterbukaan informasi di era digital. Kegiatan magang juga memberikan pengalaman praktis kepada mahasiswa mengenai penerapan ilmu komunikasi dan jurnalistik dalam dunia kerja. Melalui kegiatan ini, mahasiswa dapat memahami proses produksi berita, meningkatkan keterampilan menulis, serta memperoleh wawasan mengenai profesionalisme dan etika dalam dunia media massa.
