Abstract

This research is a quantitative research conducted based on the low participation of students of the Cosmetics and Beauty Care Departement batch 2022-2023 in the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) program. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of student interest in the IISMA program. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. Respondents in this study were 40 active students from the Cosmetics and Beauty Care Departement, batch 2022-2023. Data collection techniques involved questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods. The analysis results show that the average percentage of overall student interest in the IISMA program is 75%, categorized as “Moderately interested.” Analysis of interest based on year of class obtained results, the interest of 2022 students in the IISMA program has a percentage of 72.5% with the category “Moderately Interested” while in the 2023 class, student interest in the IISMA program has a percentage of 78% with the category “Interested”. The analysis of student interest based on aspects obtained results: aspects of attitude (75%), motivation (86%), talent (65%), educational environment (71%), peers (76%), and family (76%). It can be concluded that the initial interest of the students of the Cosmetics and Beauty Care Departement in the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) program is still at the stage of situational interest, triggered by external factors, but has not yet developed into a long-term individual interest.

Abstract

When it comes to Javanese wedding makeup services, customer satisfaction is influenced by both the quality of the service and the pricing. There are indicators that the degree of satisfaction that customers have with the services provided by Solo Basahan is not yet at its highest possible level. The purpose of this research is to determine the extent to which the quality of service and the cost affected the level of satisfaction experienced by customers of the "solo basahan" wedding cosmetics service in Javanese. In this research, a quantitative methodology is used, and data collection is accomplished via the use of questionnaires and purposeful sampling. There were a total of 32 service users that participated in the study. According to the findings, the computation of the t-test yields a significant value of 0.001 less than 0.05, which indicates that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This substantiates the presence of a considerable effect on the level of satisfaction experienced by consumers. A value of 0.960 was obtained for the coefficient of determination (R-square), which indicates that 96.2% of service quality and price have a significant impact on other variables. The remaining 3.8% of the influence is attributed to other elements of other variables. It is possible to draw the conclusion that the level of satisfaction experienced by customers is significantly impacted by both the quality of the service and the pricing.

Abstract

Rintisan usaha jasa kecantikan "Beaute by Mellenia" merupakan sebuah bisnis yang berfokus pada layanan pemasangan eyelash extension. Kebutuhan akan kecantikan dan perawatan diri di kalangan wanita semakin meningkat seiring dengan perkembangan zaman dan peningkatan kesadaran terhadap penampilan. Bisnis ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan layanan eyelash extension berkualitas tinggi dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan yang aman dan metode pemasangan yang profesional.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi peluang pasar, spesifikasi produk, serta strategi pemasaran yang efektif untuk bisnis "Beaute by Mellenia". Dengan menganalisis aspek pasar, metode pemasaran, dan manajemen usaha, diharapkan bisnis ini dapat bersaing di pasar kecantikan yang semakin kompetitif. Studi ini juga meneliti aspek finansial seperti payback period, net present value, dan break even point untuk memastikan keberlanjutan usaha ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa "Beaute by Mellenia" memiliki potensi pasar yang besar dengan target konsumen yang luas, terutama di kalangan wanita yang peduli terhadap penampilan. Dengan strategi pemasaran yang tepat dan manajemen yang baik, diharapkan bisnis ini dapat berkembang dan memberikan keuntungan yang signifikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh persepsi profesi guru terhadap minat mahasiswa menjadi guru SMK Kecantikan pada Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Rias Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif asosiatif di mana data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 99 mahasiswa. Kuesioner tersebut terdiri dari 20 pernyataan terkait persepsi profesi guru dan 20 pernyataan terkait minat mahasiswa menjadi guru SMK Kecantikan. Hasil dari uji-uji yang sudah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa persepsi profesi guru berpengaruh terhadap minat mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Rias untuk menjadi guru SMK Kecantikan dengan nilai determinasi yang diperoleh sebesar 54,8%.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) knowledge on the behavior of using electrical beauty devices among students of the Beauty Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. A quantitative approach was employed using survey and test methods. The sample consisted of 64 students selected through purposive sampling, with criteria including completion of OHS-related courses and experience in using electrical beauty devices. Data were collected using an OHS knowledge test and a questionnaire measuring safe behavior in the use of electrical beauty devices, both of which had passed validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The results indicated that OHS knowledge had a positive and significant effect on the behavior of using electrical beauty devices, as shown by a t-value of 3.246, which exceeded the t-table value of 1.999, and a significance level of 0.002 (p < 0.05). The regression coefficient of 1.090 suggested that each one-unit increase in OHS knowledge was associated with an improvement in safe and appropriate usage behavior of electrical beauty devices. These findings highlighted the importance of strengthening OHS knowledge to promote safe work behavior among beauty education students.

Abstract

Air quality in major cities like Jakarta harms health and the economy, particularly affecting children. Areas frequented by children, such as roads around schools and playgrounds, have especially concerning pollution levels. This study aims to investigate how parents' knowledge and attitudes towards reducing the effects of air pollution on children's health are related. A quantitative correlational survey was conducted among 75 parents of children aged 5-17 in Jakarta, particularly those residing near roads or high-pollution areas. The data was analyzed using SPSS. Key findings include (1) a significant correlation between parents' knowledge of air pollution and their efforts to lessen its impact on children's health (.000 < 0.05), (2) a connection between parents' attitudes and their efforts to mitigate health issues (.000 < 0.05), (3) a link between the desire to address air pollution and actual mitigation behavior (.000 < 0.05), and (4) the combined impact of knowledge, attitudes, and the desire to address air pollution on children’s health protection parental’s behavior (.000 < 0.05), contributing to 54.8% of the variance. Moreover, 90% of participants concurred that improving air quality is a shared responsibility, underscoring the necessity for public education on reducing air pollution to safeguard children's health.

Abstract

Located on the northern coast of Java near Jakarta, Muara Gembong is confronted with significant environmental health threats due to land control issues, land conversion, and pollution from the Citarum River. These factors contribute to poor water quality in residential areas, making the water unsuitable for clean water use. The objective of this study is to investigate the vulnerability and factors influencing the health resilience of populations who rely on groundwater. The research utilizes qualitative and quantitative correlational methods, gathering data from 40 respondents in Pantai Mekar Village, Muara Gembong, West Java, through questionnaires. Three proposed hypotheses were processed using SPSS. The findings reveal that environmental health in Muara Gembong, particularly sanitation and clean water access, remains a significant problem, leading to increased vulnerability to infectious diseases. Key discoveries include a substantial relationship between knowledge of groundwater quality and community health resilience (0.000 < 0.05), a link between water sanitation attitude in coastal areas and health resilience (0.002 < 0.05), and a combined effect of groundwater quality knowledge and sanitation attitude on health resilience (0.001 < 0.05). Collectively, groundwater quality knowledge and sanitation behavior contribute 36.5% to the health resilience of coastal groundwater users.

Abstract

The development of sustainable ecotourism requires a balanced integration of economic benefits, social well-being, and environmental conservation, with local communities playing a central role in tourism management. This study aims to examine the influence of organizational commitment and environmental leadership on community satisfaction in supporting sustainable ecotourism development at Danau Sipin, Jambi City. A quantitative, correlational research design was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with 60 respondents, including local community members, tourism awareness groups, and stakeholders directly engaged in ecotourism management. The sampling technique combined multistage purposive sampling and simple random sampling. Data analysis included validity and reliability testing, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination analysis, and hypothesis testing using t-tests and F-tests. The results indicate that all research instruments were valid and reliable. Simultaneously, organizational commitment and environmental leadership had a significant effect on community satisfaction in sustainable ecotourism development. Partially, each independent variable also demonstrated a positive and significant influence on community satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening organizational commitment and environmentally oriented leadership to enhance community satisfaction and participation, thereby supporting the long-term sustainability of ecotourism management at Danau Sipin, Jambi City.

Abstract

Penggunaan tanaman lokal sebagai bahan baku kosmetika alami merupakan potensi besar untuk mendukung kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat pedesaan, namun pengetahuan masyarakat tentang hal ini masih terbatas. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada program pelatihan di Desa Singasari, Kecamatan Jonggol, Kabupaten Bogor, di mana permasalahan utama adalah kurangnya sumber bacaan yang memadai mengenai pemanfaatan tanaman lokal sebagai bahan kosmetika alami. Hal ini menyebabkan banyak warga setempat tidak memiliki pemahaman cukup tentang manfaat tumbuhan endemik yang dapat diolah menjadi produk kosmetik ramah lingkungan. Tujuan program ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dasar masyarakat melalui penyediaan buku bacaan tentang pemanfaatan dan pengelolaan tanaman lokal, serta aplikasinya dalam wirausaha kosmetika alami. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi pelatihan interaktif dengan pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman peserta. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan mayoritas peserta belum menguasai materi, sedangkan post-test mengindikasikan peningkatan yang signifikan, dengan 10 peserta (77%) memperoleh nilai 100. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai rata-rata persentase pelatihan mencapai 91,75%, yang mencerminkan peningkatan pengetahuan yang tinggi terhadap materi yang disampaikan.

Abstract

Penelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh Augmented Reality (AR) Makeup Filter terhadap keputusan pembelian foundation makeup pada mahasiswa Tata Rias Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh tingginya risiko salah memilih warna (shade) dan tekstur produk complexion saat belanja daring, sehingga menuntut adanya fitur virtual try-on sebagai alat evaluasi digital. Melalui teknik purposive sampling, dipilih 76 responden mahasiswa Tata Rias UNJ yang pernah menggunakan filter AR kosmetik. Data primer dihimpun menggunakan kuesioner Google Form berskala Likert, lalu diolah dengan IBM SPSS 27 melalui uji instrumen, uji asumsi klasik, dan pengujian hipotesis. Hasil analisis regresi linear sederhana menghasilkan persamaan Y = 36,592 + 0,694X. Berdasarkan uji t parsial, variabel AR Makeup Filter terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian (  6,857; sig. < 0,001). Hubungan kedua variabel tergolong kuat dengan nilai koefisien korelasi ( )sebesar 0,623. Sementara itu, nilai koefisien determinasi  sebesar 0,388 menunjukkan bahwa fitur AR kontributif sebesar 38,8% dalam menjelaskan keputusan pembelian, sedangkan 61,2% sisanya dipengaruhi faktor eksternal. Kesimpulannya, visualisasi interaktif teknologi AR ini efektif meminimalisir keraguan psikologis belanja daring sekaligus memperkuat keyakinan visual konsumen dalam memilih kosmetik yang tepat.
